REVIEWS OF Lake Winnepesaukah Amusement Park IN Alabama

Melissa Schellack

A favorite from my childhood. My kids loved their first visit. This place is just the right size for my 4yo and 6yo but I know they’ll enjoy it for years to come. And the new (new to me

April Sprayberry

So much better and cleaner than six flags! Didn't have to wait forever in the lines. Love how you can bring a cooler in. My husband even liked it! We will be going back!

Tyler Robertson

Good amusement park with lots of rides for different age groups. They also have quiet a bit of games for the kids along with a somewhat new water park. Prices are kind of high in my opinion especially when you can go to six flags for just a little more per ticket.

Adams K

Not many rides. Nice for small kids, my only issue is you have to pay full admission price even if you're NOT riding anything. Me and my 62 yr old mom had to pay full price even though we didn't get on any rides. There should be some kind of discount for non-riders.

Julie Smallwood

This was actually pretty nice, it was less expensive than other parks and we had just as much fun!

Beverly Allen

I took my daughter to Lake Winnie when she was little and now we are taking my granddaughter together. Love this place. Good family fun. Not as expensive as the bigger parks. We love the water park!!

Crystal Woolson

Been going since I was a child. So excited to go with my parents and my kids and relive my childhood!

Karen Cross

Love this theme park. No waiting lines, not overly crowded, great water park as well!

ann marie boyd

Love it here small town big fun n oh yes lazy river water park too worth the trip

Stephanie Garner

This was me and my son's first trip to lake winnie. It was so awful! We were treated so horrible by the staff on many occasions.I dont recommend this place or care to ever return! I was expecting nice, family friendly fun not rude people at every turn. My advice save your money and go somewhere else.

Alison Rowland

So much fun! However there is a lot of repairs that need to be done. Looks ran down. Staff is wonderful tho

Oh dear... How do I explain this place... Well, the majority of the employees are teenagers and young adults. So teenagers and young adults are running most of the rides. They don't count how many people they let in. Instead of letting my toddler and I know she was done letting people in, even though there was room for more, one employee just closed the gate on my kid and got his hand caught in it.... Making him cry. For every teenage female employee working hard, there are two watching her and not helping. A lot of the rides have broken components. The food is never warm, and the drinks are rarely cold. The wacky factory has pool noodles and foil taped to the walls. All this... But I'll still go back for nostalgia's sake. I do enjoy the small town feel to it. But come one, Rossville... This is not a 4.8 star amusement park.

Melissa Barkley

Have always loved it there but today every ride I tried to go on was down, they shut most stuff down an hour before closing time, bought a 2 scoop ice cream that only filled up half the cone (had to eat the cone to get to the ice cream!!!) the poor fish had fungus growing on them from the filthiness of the lake, the life vests were covered in black mold, all the lights in the wacky factory were shot so we rode through in the dark and its rotating tunnel was not working so why even open it, and all the buildings and structures need multitudes of maintenance. Put some money back into it to make it the great place it used to be!

John Ross

Water park awesome. Amusement park showing its age. Either needs more areas for patrons to cool off. Still overall good for admission prices.

Russell Witt

We had a great time! love the park. We bought season passes

SpartaSparky

Great place for the family. Reasonably priced, great attractions, and not too far from home. It really is a "hidden gem" in TN. I'm genuinely surprised more people don't know it exists, even though they've been a family attraction since 1925. There is also a waterpark for cooling off after riding rollercoasters and other rides. I love that they have no problem with you bringing coolers with homemade packed lunches.

Space Lizard

Great place to have fun with friends or family! A shoutout to some of the workers at lake Winnie (Logan, John & Myers) for being very friendly and making our day awesome!

John Millican

Really enjoy the water park, and watching the grandkids ride the rides. It seems Lake Winnie has dropped the soft serve ice cream, and several of the small child rides are gone. A 2 year old child needs rides that an older person can ride with them until they get more comfortable riding alone.

Lindsey lindsey

Really isn't what it used to be. When i was younger my family went multiple times through the summer. I doubt I'll ever go again. We went in Sept, and half the rides on the first half of the park are closed. This is the side with most of the kids rides. On closer inspection, there were signs that stated the operator of one ride was also the operator of another ride. I'm not sure if they were meant to run both rides at the same time, which probably wouldn't be safe, but they didn't. That left less than 5 kiddie rides open. Also there was no discount on ticket prices for these closed rides. This also made the lines longer for the kiddie rides. A 5 year old doesnt really understand having to wait because a park cheaped out on already cheap employement. This park is not Six Flags. While it does have rides for teenagers and adults, the main reason to attend is if you have younger childer. So closing half the rides for those kids doesn't make sense. Also the splash pad across from the antique cars is now closed. It was 92 degrees the day we went and the water park was closed. I don't know why they closed the splash pad, I guess they would rather save on the water bill instead of offering a place for little ones to cool off. Also a few years back they converted the arcade to a gift shop, that is dead most of the time. Why they would choose to lose the business and fun aspect of an arcade over a dead gift shop, i don't understand. Bottom line, especially considering the increased price, you can go to the pool in chattanooga, jump parks, 6 flags, pigeon forge, and on and on. There are many other options in this price change that won't be so disappointing.

Teresa Smith

It was a really nice day with all the kids. Lake Winnea should have had more food stands open. They only had two open today, they were not selling snow cones, ice cream or cotton candy so that part could have been better. Still we have a good time with the kids.

Robert Russell

Decided to go here for my birthday, and it was nice. The water ride is a disappointnent, and a potential law-suit because it's dark in the tunnel and the boat bumps against the sides, could see someone getting their hand crushed between the wall and the boat.

Brook Speigel

I have 3 small kids so I have been to a lot of amusement parks. Never will be back at this one. A few rides were closed and had signs . A few that I saw running earlier didn't have anyone there no signs or anything. Young kids working there are rude. Waited patiently as the girl dumped ice in a bin only for her to walk away from ne and take the two girls behind me when my three small kids just wanted a drink. The girl running the elephant ride looked like she absolutely hated her job and didn't smile or say anything when we all thanked her after. The only thing I can say is the last at the ticket booth was super nice to us . Other then that horrible overpriced place and not worth the money or the rude people .

Katelyn Waters

I’ve always loved lake Winnie so I’m sad to say I was disappointed today. EVERY SINGLE park employee we came across was rude. They were talking badly about visitors, rolling their eyes, not paying attention to anybody. Obviously whoever does training/hiring is not choosing the best employees. Also seen the cannon ball get stuck, as well as two people stuck inside the twister while my husband was on it. The employee left my husband and other riders sitting waiting without telling anybody the ride was stuck. Then a couple hours later, we seen another person stuck on the twister again. Next time I will just spend the extra $60 for Dollywood tickets. Also half the rides were closed down. The only good thing was the funnel cake lol.

Erin Moore

It seems like they've made quite a bit of improvements since last year. It's not the nicest theme park, but we always have a good time. They have a good selection of rides for younger kiddos, and a lot of rides they can do as long as they have a parent with them. Kept our almost 5 year old entertained all day long. I definitely suggest bringing food and drinks, esppecially if you have a large family. Their options are super expensive and honestly not that great...

Had a great time with my kids and grandkids. It’s got the quality of a six flags without the extremely large crowds. The water park is fantastic! Clean and secure atmosphere with security that does not take nonsense. Definitely family oriented.

Charliena Diego

We have been going to Lake Winnie for many years and the kids still love it so we go a couple of times in the summer. The rides are fun and you don't have to stand in line for very long.

Mackenzie Cuellar

So much fun everyone was smiling and having a good time and there was this kid that was up set because he could not get a stuffed animal so the cash register person said he could have it for "FREE"

Melissa Schellack

A favorite from my childhood. My kids loved their first visit. This place is just the right size for my 4yo and 6yo but I know they’ll enjoy it for years to come. And the new (new to me

Was a great day of fun. Had that small town feel of a old park. Fun rides

Michael Fuller

A blast from the past. Place has definitely seen it's better days. Either the owners are sucking it dry or they don't have the revenue to upkeep the rides, way too many rides out of order

Daisy Orellana

I had so much fun going there with my family. Love the it's a very affordable place to eat and have fun.

Ryan Ottman

Love it here. A fun place for kids and family!

Toyota Gal Gadsden

I’m not sure how we’re getting 5 stars here from others? We visited yesterday as a party of 5. 2 adults. 3 children. Pricing was fair for admission @ $149 for all. We selected Friday because of the Dr. Pepper offer. BOGO half price. The family next to us in line for admission had the same number in their party without the Dr. Pepper offer and paid $234. We came prepared so the only thing we purchased additionally in the park was one bottle of water for $2 (fair) and a locker rental. Rides are in working order and are mostly the ones I remember from 30 years ago. Fond reflections. But change is due. Some restrooms were clean. Some were not. The parking lot looks as if the same pieces of rubbage have been there for too long. Staff is friendly. The water park is a nice addition. Overall a fun time but with an average family dropping 300 bucks here, we could clean it up.

Jennifer Price

Childhood memories at Lake Winnie are sweet...the park has changed a little. They have a water park section now, still have great rides for kids and some adult rides too.

Kc Calhoun

Well it was my first time taking my little sisters to Lake Winnie. It was an interesting experience for sure. I never realized that it was basically a stay in place carnival or fair. The rides were certainly very old and at some points I thought they might fall apart because they were so old, but it was certainly interesting. All the staff was extremely kind, caring, and beyond the point of friendly which you never really get anymore at amusement parks. The staff certainly made the experience so much better. I loved also learning the history of the place as well. That was fascinating. The girls certainly enjoyed themselves. Will certainly go back again next year.

Juan Martinez

I love bringing family. Great atmosphere and food is worth every penny. Games are fun.

Honest Review!! I grew up in GA and going to Lake Winne as a kid was amazing. I came back to town to visit my grandmother and wanted to take my 6 year old to enjoy the park. They no longer let you come in and walk around without paying full price so my grandmother wasn't able to join us. How is that fair? She's 72. She isn't able to ride any rides. She just wanted to enjoy time spent with us while in town. 1st strike. Being from out of town, we didn't have swimsuits, towels etc. I only wanted to pay for the dry ride park. Apparently that isn't allowed during summer months. So I had to pay for both parks and only had access to one. Strike 2. They did allow us to bring in a cup, we bought a water but it did get warm after a bit. I asked to fill my cup with ice and you have the nerve to charge me $1. Come on now. Strike 3 The food is pretty expensive so if you go I would suggest leaving for lunch. Oh and some of the ride regulations are a joke. For example my daughter, who is 47 in tall) isn't able to ride bumper cars with me but is allowed to get on the kids drop (make sure to look it up if you don't know the ride) which is 100% more terrifying. You only have to be 42 inches for that ride. Unfortunately I will not return. I'm able to go to the bigger parks for less and get more for what I pay.

Samantha Frase

highly recommend this place!!! my husband used to go here as a child and we are now making a family tradition out of it..very fun! brought all 5 children here including my 1yr old daughter who was able to get into so many rides! the food is good priced, the employees are awesome, eager to help, great about safety and making sure everyone follows the rules. the park is clean and so much fun. we spent the entire day here and wrapped it up with their fourth of July celebration. this place is amazing. perfect for the whole family!!! I cannot recommend this place enough. good ol fashion family fun. lots of great memories to be made here for generations to come!!! There is also a picnic area that allows you to set your cooler and bring in your own food! We left our cooler there as many others did and we're able to go and ride rides all day long without any worries. Makes it easy to go if your on a budget!!

Loved taking our 2 year old for her first time to an Amusement Park! She had the best day ever, and is COMPLETELY worn out. The reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5, is because of 3 things: 1) In the Waterpark, there are NOT NEARLY ENOUGH shaded umbrella tables, just lots of chairs and loungers in direct sun, and people who 'reserve a table with their stuff' and just take off to the rest of the park, rendering their table unusable. Even though this isn't 'allowed' staff will do nothing to assist you in locating shade for your baby. 2) we tried multiple times to buy a funnel cake, only to be told every time to go to only 1 location in the park, and when we did, we're told that 'they ran out', yet as soon as we walked away, 3 big families of a darker skin coloring than ours (that also ALL seemed to be the extended family of the employee who turned us away) proceeded to order 13...yes 13 funnel cakes. And got them. When we walked back over to ask why we weren't allowed to order, the employee said 'yo we closing. Go home lady' and walked away. 3)Some kiddie rides don't have enough sun protection, and are getting so hot, they're advising to sit on a towel instead of closing the rides, which was still leading to some kids legs getting burnt. Overall, we had an extremely wonderful day, and will definitely go back again this summer.

Frank Todd

Had a great day with my family. The staff are very friendly and the food was good.

Jessica Leanne

I myself love Lake Winnie! It was my favorite amusement park when I was little! But the park needs a little work and a little tests to assure the safety for children! However the prices for food and items in the giftshot are expensive! I think they can make improvements it wouldn’t hurt.

First time going with family.... Kids had a great time... Was there till they closed...

emna habib

Nice place too much fun for kids ,just not too clean especially in the eating areas

Mitchell Southerland

I love this place. Lake Winnie has always been a favorite of mine. Good family fun.

Wanda Ray

Great fun but our car was stolen out of the parking lot

LaShawnda Rollins

Same ole, same ole. For the price they charge, you would think they would update their equipment and put in some new rides. NOPE. Folks don't waste your $ here go to Nashville shores, Whitewater, anywhere but here.

Yvonne Mcbride

Lots of fun for children and adults! Loved the water park!

BreAnna Culver

I went to Lake Winnie today. It was a fun day (it was a free trip for a work function) other than a few things I noticed. The place is getting old. Things are fading out, and honestly looking pretty trashy. What I don’t understand is how they can charge so much for such simple rides and mediocre water park and have the place looking so run down. Lake Winnie was MAGICAL to me when I went as a child. Now I can see the magic fading away, literally lol And whoever had the terrible idea for the wacky factory... shame on you. It’s a big wasted space. I was like... are you serious lol it looked like there was TIN FOIL on the walls and some glow in the dark paint. Not to mention there was a fight in the park today which put a major damper on the trip. I hope they do some remodeling and major sprucing up soon.

Devin Cooper

Great place to go and have fun, but be prepared, food is pricey, and most of the rides are older, but we still had a blast, I would recommend going here

Ashly Smith

This year I purchased the season pass and it was totally worth it! My daughter and I love the water park! And of course you can't go there and not ride the cannon ball. My only complaint is the wacky factory. I grew up with it being the spook house (idk if that's what it was called) and it was awesome. The wacky factory is kind of lame. Kids still enjoy it, and that's all that matters.

My wife worked there for a lil over a month and she is now 6 months pregnant. My mom also works there as well and she has some health problems. I was told that I could come check on them at least 30 minutes to an hour. Before the park closes so I did because my wife wasn’t feeling to good. And then I was told by security that they are throwing me out for checking on my wife while she was at her ride. But there was no customers there and I was escorted out. Then today my wife was fired because she spoke the truth about this place. They claim to be a family park but throwing a husband out for checking on his wife. Doesn’t seem much like a family park to me. Plus they still owe my wife $380 for the past 2 weeks. And keep telling her that they have taken care of it. But still nothing.

Valerie Anderson

This is a small amusement park that has so much to offer everyone of every age. There is also a water park inside and admission is included in your daily ticket price of just $35! There are kiddie rides for the little ones and roller coasters for thrill seekers and a lazy river for mom to finally relax in while the kids play in the kiddie cove water area lifeguards are everywhere..

Crystal Quinn

The family ALWAYS enjoys a day @Lake Winnie. We have made it a family tradition to go every year. This year was extra special because we had our newest member of the family to enjoy it with. And he was a very happy 13 month old, along with the teenagers. Great place for all ages. We had 60 to one year old and everyone had a blast. Can't wait till next year. #simpsonfamilytrip

Linda Maxwell

Water park is small and crowded. Expected more. We had a good time but a little disappointed.

Nathan Rivera

Awesome family day out. Drove from east tn to be here on opening day. Well worth the 2 1/2 hour drive. Family had a blast...

Chris Ball

Great place for young kids. The water park was open until 7pm and the main park until 10pm. This was a great balance for me and my 6yo.

Adam Meglich

This park is fading out. And I mean that literally. The Lake Winnie flags look faded, all of their rides there look old and faded. The "Spook Ya" thing they do in October is really decent. But I went last summer and it was filthy. I went to the water park and just felt so dirty because the water smelled like sweat. It made me sick to my stomach. And there was a bloody maxi-pad in one of the changing rooms, that didn't help. I'll probably go back this October. Overall, the cleanliness is an easy fix but they really need to repaint and update the look of their rides.

Kc Calhoun

Staff was friendly. Kids had a blast! Affordable meal options.

tammy kilpatrick

Love, love Love! I love that veterans get in free on Monday. I love the Soakya water park. The lazy river is my favorite.

Morgan Giannotti

Family friendly!!! My 3 year old had a blast!!! So glad we bought a season pass. It’s gonna be a great summer!

The Life Of Sam

Loved the park, wish it had a few other roller-coasters and more water rides. The cars we drove were unable to be steered and they only had two cars working which means it is a maintenance issue not more so of a management issue. The overall family atmosphere was great. I would upgrade the rides or this amusement park is going to get lost in the past and forgotten about.

Josh Cobb

Lake Winnie is a great place to bring the family. Good rides, good food, great family fun. Just spent the whole day with my family, and had a blast

darlene teran

WORST TRIP EVER!!! Our family drove 2 hours to get here. If I could give less than one star I would. Staff was terrible. Rides all need to be updated. Bathrooms were disgusting. The staff is quick to try to rip you off. Souvenirs are all expensive as if it was a big amusement park, which it isn’t. Water park sucked. Both parks are too small. I was wearing a bikini top and shorts and was asked to leave the water park when literally there were so many people wearing jean shorts, t-shirts, twill shorts, leggings and lingerie. Yet, I was the only one that was asked to Parking was terrible, the staff that was directing traffic didn’t know what he was doing. Prices for food and admission is as if it was a big park. Yet you don’t even get half of its worth. Not worth the time or money.

Jeanna Money

Great time with grandkids, would have been much better if the young people running the rides were a bit more friendly. Guys running the Farris Wheel were wonderful with my special needs grandson.

Jason McGinty

One star for bringing your own food and one star for friendly staff. Lots to do for the small kids, one star, and one star for the water park. Some of the regular rides need serious updating/upgrades though. Gift shop prices are reasonable (sunscreen $5, towel $10).

Carl B

Things for all ages to do/ plenty of food and staff very nice and helpful

Doxie Patterson

Great place, we came earlier this year and quite a few rides weren't running and the water park wasn t open yet. Anyway can't complain we really enjoyed it!

Greg Hearon

Good day spending time with son, water park was the best part, needs a real pool.

lynn melton

Hadnt been there in years. Grandson enjoyed it as much as my children. Great place.

Chris Brown

Rides are fun (the ones that weren't closed), and snacks are good. LOVE THE FUNNEL CAKE!!! The bad experience we had, was with the staff, and with the way the park is set up for you to dehydrate so youll spend more money on drinks which is fine, i get it, but not gonna spend over three hundred dollars and feel like im not welcome. All of the ride operators were unfriendly, some to the point it was uncomfortable, it made the experience unsatisfying. I remember growing up all the employees were happy to see you, and if they weren't they didnt let you know it. Side game staff were yelling out for you to stop and play, none of that goes on now. You can tell no one wants to be there. Its like they've took all of their cheerful employees and stuck them in the water park. If im gonna spend 36 dollars a person on tickets for my family, i expect good and happy customer service. Really didnt like being treated like my 5 member family is the 5 second in their 8 hour work day their trying to rush by so they can leave.

Tabitha Hoodenpyle

It would have been better if the rain hadn't run us out.

Ashley Copeland

We love Lake Winnie and were super excited to go on a field trip a couple weeks back. Really wish they would open more concessions areas. We gave up waiting for food and had to find something on the way out. Seems to be the theme on field trip days. Definitely pack a lunch or you'll run out of time for rides!!

M&J Smith

Such a fun, family amusement park. The rides vary from thrill rides to old fashion fun. There is a waterpark also. There is a ski lift, a train, paddle boats, and a rollercoaster, to name a few.

Rachel Pryor

This place seems to be going downhill. Very expensive for what you get unless the water park is open as well. Last time we were there, literally half the rides were closed. We did email them about it and they apologized and comped our day, but still very disappointing and hard to explain to little kids why we couldn’t do anything when they were excited for a fun filled day.

Jeremy Martin

I love getting to take the family to have fun at Lake Winnie! There are rides for all ages and all are lots of fun.

Michelle Abner

Short lines. Classic rides. Friendly staff. Great water park for cooling off and resting.

Justin Watson

Pretty good, staff was very friendly. The water park was amazing, just a little crowded at the lazy river. The rest of the park was ok, could have better rides, but for the cost of tickets, it's pretty good.

Mary-Lynne Scott

Loved this family owned Amusement park! There are many rides for kids to enjoy as well as adults. The water park was enjoyed by all. Kids especially loved the water slides. Wish I could say the same about their concessions. Hamburgers looked great but had a less than desirable taste. How do you mess up a hamburger - unless it wasn't beef?? And my granddaughter took one bite of her hotdog and that was it. I tasted it and then knew why. It was worse than the hamburger. So, if you go, enjoy the parks but bring your own food.

Frogger89

Been going since I was a little kid and went this past weekend, and I had a blast! I didn't get to ride the cannonball since it was down but an awesome Employee named Myers was awesome to talk to though as my favorite ride, the Conestoga was open and I rode it about 30 times! Always a pleasure when I visit this park, good tunes playing, free Wi-Fi and good food! Also I wasn't able to buy a funnel cake the day I went but it didn't bother me!

marvin coleman

Love it not a lot of rides here but it's still fun

jeremy anthony

Overall it's still a pretty fun place to go especially if you went as a child for the nostalgia. Lines werent bad and pricing on everything seemed fair except everything requiring a 5 dollar minimum to use a debit card (drink refills for souvenir cups are $1) My only real complaint lies on one ride (the same one that had a few one star reviews in the park review book) the wacky factory, honestly i would rate it one wacky star out of one hundred, there was nothing to it, and i think the spot would be better suited for another ride/attraction. Overall its a good time for kids and adults alike.

Tim Benson

This has been a staple for family entertainment for decades. The most recent addition of the water park was a fantastic choice. There haven't been a lot of changes to the other part of the park though. It is nice that you can bring your coolers and bring your food to help with budget.

Melissa

The place would be fine if their staff wasn't so rude. They over charged us for the drink deal by $10 and was like "oh well". Then some worker yelled at me because I was bringing fully wrapped food from one side of the park to the other. I wanted to sit at the tables in the water park and eat it while my kids played... in the area Where they sell/eat food.. and he told me I had to throw it out and buy something from the water park side even tho I purchased it at the park and literally just wanted to sit down and eat.

Lawanda Henderson

They need more than 6 cabanas. They could make a ton of money and have more happy customers. More benches would be awesome too.

Vickie Griffin

This place was very fun and very family oriented, the only complaint I have is they treat smoker's like they have some kind of plague they only give them one area that is very far for people to have to walk to. That was very disappointing.

Susan Casey

One thing...be sure you don't wear flip flops or shoes without a back. They won't let you get on several rides. The ones we were able to ride were fun. Food and drinks are high.

Sydney Holcomb

Fun rides but the food is way too pricey. I paid $9 for a small drink and a small basket of fries with only TWO chicken tenders. Life truck just buy the kids meal.

Emily Hawkins

A little old but sooooo much fun! My family loves this place and will be going for years to come!

Leslie Yates

We had a wonderful time! They are having there Halloween fun.

Phillip Turner

Good place for kids. They close the water park at 7pm in the middle of summer when it's 90+ degrees outside! $36 per person is too expensive for what is offered. No air conditioned area to cool off anywhere. Many vending machines were out of order and food and drink areas closed. Be prepared to spend lots of money unless you bring your own drinks and lunch.

Dennis_livinglife_ Weldon

Great place take the kids bring your own cooler swim picnic Grill be yourself at Lake Winnie great place man rides was great people with great atmosphere with great places clean Lake Winnie is a great place ...

Joy Elkins

It's the perfect size park to enjoy the entire park. Its affordable and fun.

Rob Renninger

It's ok, some of the teenagers running the place could use a lesson in hospitality. Some of them were good though. Smaller park with older rides. Good for locals as there is not much else around as far as amusement parks go.

Alexandra Payne

I grew up coming to lake winnie with my family. I always looked forward to our summer trips! This weekend I got to take my 1 year old son for his first visit and we had a blast. There were 5 or 6 rides he was able to ride, and we had so much fun at the water park as well! He played so hard, he fell asleep on my chest while we were in the inner tube on the lazy river. Memories that will last a lifetime, carried over into a new generation.

Leslie Bolt

Super fun!!!! The water park is awesome and wish we had more time for rides! We will be back.

Eric Campbell

Fun park rides. Great water park rides. Fantastic lazy river. Will definitely be back.

Amanda Chambers

We love Lake Winnie! We went last year and loved it so much we bought season tickets this year. I love the fact that you can bring in your own food and drinks and leave your cooler under the pavilion while riding the rides. So much for little kids to do, and there is so much staff at the water park it really makes me feel safe having my little ones there. Once you buy your season ticket the only money you have to spend is gas money to get there the rest of the year! Highly recommend!

Tammy McReynolds

While they promote how great they are about letting you bring in a cooler, they fail to mention that you have to leave it unattended for the whole park to have access to. They being Lake Winnie is not responsible for it either. SO if/when it goes missing.... TOO BAD! This is beyond ridiculous! Pleaaa reevaluate your wording and be more clear about "bringing in your cooler"

Mike Walker

Brings back old memories of great time and a great time with my grandchildren

I had a great time with my family at the place. My kids were able to get on all the rides without having to wait in a long line.

Linda Mayfield

If I could give 0 stars, I would have. I would say today was a total bust. There was 5 rides down, 3 for sure I wanted to ride. Don't waste your money or your time. And the funnel cake area was not even opened!!!!! Don't bother waiting in line for the wacky ride, it's not worth it. Your waiting in line forever because they only send a few through at a time!!!!!Waste of money!

Huge amusement park with tons of stuff to do! Great group rates and lots to do for all ages. 100% would recommend

Lisa M

I liked it , they have some very vintage rides to offer if that's your thing. Ferris wheel from 1960s . They have a lot of different rides when it comes to selection , I'd compare it to a county fair. The only thing i feel like that's lacking is the enthusiasm of some of the staff , some were just plain rude.

Kirsten Lee

Lake Winnie is just as fun as an adult as it was as a kid! We loved it, the kids had a blast, and the weekday is the perfect time to go if you can. Lake Winnie's SoakYa park was great, too! Very clean. :)

Michael Dickey

A good portion of the rides were down due maintenance, if all the rides were open score would be higher. The park had a list out front of rides that were down for the day, but once you got inside more rides were down than listed. You can definitely tell the place is older, a fresh coat of paint would do the place wonders.

Angela Harrison

Just right for my 3 year old! There is a lot for her to do. She loves the water slides in the toddler section!! Not to mention all the kiddie rides!! And last but, not least she really enjoys the big playground by the pretty flowing brook, as i do to its a great spot to rest in the shade. We love Lakewinnie!!

Alicia Trammell

Lake Winnie has been in my life my whole life and I'm 30 years my fav

Thomas Rooney

Took my family here often back in the nineties when we lived in Chattanooga! Very quant amusement park wrapped around the Lake! Great memories!

Teresa Yokley

Cheap family fun but needs alot of updating. Would've liked to have had friendlier employees. Water park was fun

Brad Parker

Always fun my daughter enjoys the park but a little pricey for local entertainment

J Waay51

Lots of fun for people of all ages! Plenty of rides, along with a waterpark. I highly recommend this to anyone. Lines are nowhere near as long as those of larger amusement parks but the place is busy enough to sustain a vibrant atmosphere. Prices are reasonable. Truly a hidden gem in northwest Georgia!

Joseph Gamble

Great family fun love the park the food and beverages are a tad pricey but they do allow coolers from home. Water fountains are desperately needed here

Dustin Lindstrom

Lake winnipesaukee is like a traveling carnival found a permanent location, then added a few permanent rides. That being said it's great place for younger kids to get their first experience of going to an amusement park. My son had a blast and we will probably visit again.

Heather Sutton

We had so much fun today at Lake Winnie. Lots of people but little waiting time. The best part is my 2 year old has plenty of kids rides to keep her occupied. We enjoyed the kiddie section for the whole first part of our morning. We went to the water park next and enjoyed the splash pad for littles and the lazy river. Was disappointed my father in laws swim shorts were considered not swim shorts and he couldn't get in the water and cool off. We went and rode more things before they seemed rides unsafe due to one thunder boom. Also was disappointed that many rides were not working due to not enough staff or ride broke down. Overall fun great day. Little pricey but we had fun.

Candice Mitchell

Amazing! We took our boys (8 and 2) and spent all day having fun. It is worth every penny.

Frank Decot

Great historic amusement park. Fun rides for everyone in the family. The employees were all extremely friendly. I loved the Cannonball coaster!

jeremy anthony

Overall it's still a pretty fun place to go especially if you went as a child for the nostalgia. Lines werent bad and pricing on everything seemed fair except everything requiring a 5 dollar minimum to use a debit card (drink refills for souvenir cups are $1) My only real complaint lies on one ride (the same one that had a few one star reviews in the park review book) the wacky factory, honestly i would rate it one wacky star out of one hundred, there was nothing to it, and i think the spot would be better suited for another ride/attraction. Overall its a good time for kids and adults alike.

Nathan Barnes

Almost exactly like it was 30 years ago. I think it is a glorified carnival that doesn't move. Very overpriced! Several of the rides are old and tired and do not operate as well as they once did. Carousel animals are looking pretty pitiful.

Whitney Sink

We have season passes and love being able to go during the week when it isn’t as crowded. The water park is great! We’ll be visiting a lot this summer!

emuhlee

the guy named toby operating the carousel is the best amusement park employee i've ever seen. really goes above and beyond to entertain the kids! i have no idea where he gets all that energy from.

Tim Benson

This has been a staple for family entertainment for decades. The most recent addition of the water park was a fantastic choice. There haven't been a lot of changes to the other part of the park though. It is nice that you can bring your coolers and bring your food to help with budget.

harleygal069

So much fun. Spent from 11a-8p in amusement and waterpark. Took 2 teens and a toddler. Everyone had a blast myself included.

Kailey Kimbrell

They were friendly my family loved it we had kids ranging from 8 to 13 and there was 12 of them and they all had a wonderful time and had a ride the staff was very friendly and good with my children thank you for the wonderful family memories

Jim Patterson

Prepare to leave a little lighter in the wallet. Not worth the cost unless you can stay all day.Family of 4 will drop $150 for admission , eats and drinks.

Anthony Lewallen

Young employees everywhere. Most of them girls that are dressed in short shorts. Some were professional, but most were still childish. The water park (crazy river/lazy river) was nasty and needed bleached to get smell out and sanitize it for health purposes. Someone splashed me in face and the water tasted salty. All i could think off was nasty feet and underarm sweat. On a positive note we got a lot of rides in on the other side of park.

Lucy Allen

Lots of amusement park fun without the long lines or price, and close to home.

jared weaver

One of the ride workers called my step daughter fat, we got stuck in the wacky factory and waited for the worker till we smelled burning wires so my buggy and the car that ran into our stopped car got out and walked out of the ride. Other then that it was a great day and had a lot of fun

Chesley

We had a great time at Lake Winnie today. Enjoyed riding the rides and seeing my son having fun and seeing his face on the rides. Overall a great experience this time. I will say they make people working in the kiddie section at this time of the season operate two rides at a time which doesn't seem right to me in my opinion is too hard on the workers cause what if some reason they are busier then expected and it would cause back ups but today it was fine and manageable for them to operate two but still alot on one person to handle.

the j j show mccollum

Went today and had a great time! All employees extremely friendly. Loved the employee on the carousel. He made that ride so much fun! Very family oriented. Lots to do. Can't ride everything in one day. Only downfall, Just wish they had a couple more designated smoking areas.

Jennifer Mino

Kids had a blast! I recommend bringing a picnic lunch, as the food is pricey. We brought a cooler and left it in the car until lunchtime. We sat in the car with the AC (it was 98 degrees that day) and ate, then went back in for more fun! They do have covered picnic tables inside the park if you dont mind the heat!

Bianca Dee

All I'm going to say is that this entire concept is less than professional or logical. The website is less than informative. The pricing makes 0 sense. If you want to save yourself and or your kids the dissappointment, either go somewhere else, or go prepared to spend money on things your may not want to do. They tried to make us pay for both parks when we only needed pricing for one park. Not too mention calling itself an amusement park is misleading. It's more like an overpriced fair ground.

Shelby Green

Rides haven't been updated in ages and they don't add anything new. Wishing they would grow and expand

BigBoy6s

The fam had a blast so many childhood memories came back when we got there. I still love this place and my girls did too. WE'LL BE BACK.

Jenny Zornes

I expected an amusement park considering that word is in its name and it's no where close. It's a bigger version of a small town carnival. Good to take kids ages 5-12 for a couple of hours. The ticket prices are reasonable but the inside park prices for food/drink are high.

Tanner Suits

You know, it's a old amusement. It's hot as hell and has had the same rides for the past 25 years. The water park is a nice addition, but beware. you're unable to go down the water slides and stuff if you weigh more than 225 pounds and the lazy river is only so entertaining. The Scrambler is definitely still the best ride there.

Skud Cell

Fantastic water park and fun rides for kids and adults alike. Now don't go asking for a cup of Ice on a sweltering hot day cuz you won't get it. Other than that I had lots of fun with my family. Ticket prices are kinda steep considering the cost of food but ride all you want all day, can't beat that.

Cody Lee

My kids love going to Lake Winnie just like I did when I was a kid. It hasn't grown much since I was a kid apart from the new water park addition, which is fun for the family but a little small and nothing to write home about. If you are from out of town and are looking for a Six Flags/Whitewater type of experience you will be disappointed. But if you looking for a fun place to bring the kids, you will have a good time. Its a little pricey for what it is, but I think pretty much every theme park is over priced these days. It seems pretty well run and is pretty clean for the most part. The Boat Chute is one of the oldest rides in the United States, and despite its simplicity, is a lot of fun (and nostalgic for me as well). The Cannonball is the only real rollercoaster. It is very old and wooden, but it does not disappoint if your expectations are reasonable. And there are a ton of smaller rides for the whole family. There are also several big, medium, and smaller sized waterslides on the water park side as well as a splash pad for younger kids and a lazy river.

Joel Richards

The experience was great. The rides were awesome. The staff were nice and friendly. The park was very clean. We will be coming back soon.

Kevin Cox

Three stars mainly because the place is dated and the staff are mostly kids who hate being there. The water park is good for the little ones but the adult options are slim and it takes forever for the raft return system, especially on the Zoom Flume.

Felicia Kelley

I liked the prices on food it wasn't outrageous the drinks for a large was 3 dollars so not bad at all

C Baker

We had so much fun here!!! It is pricey for food and souvenirs, but you can't beat the ticket price for all you get. It does get insanely crowded though, and that's the only downside.

Quan Jayna

The kids and I had fun! I still cant believe we spend the entire day there. We drove 90 mins (from Atlanta) and it was worth it. $35/pp you get unlimited rides & water park. The lazy river was the best part! We enjoyed it so much we will definitely be back! Parking is free.

Jacquis Reese

Free parking. A little pricey for 1-5 year olds but other that, my family had a blast. Need to have better tasting snow cones, side note

Emily Gilreath

I grew up not far from Lake Winnie and have been there so many times, even worked there one summer as a lifeguard, and it never gets old. It is a great place for families. You can bring in a picnic and eat it in their covered picnic areas. They also have a great water park that is included with regular admission. My favorite time to go here is around the 4th of July because they have amazing firework shows.

Gretchen Lawrence

This park was pretty dirty. They offer a special on their big cups for 1 dollar refills but neglect to tell you that there is a 5 dollar minimum for charging a card. All of the employees have a terrible attitude. I was genuinely surprised by how unimpressive this park was considering how great the reviews are. My kids had a blast regardless so I'll give you better than just 1 star, which is what I want to rate this park.

Avery looney

I love this place. My family has been going for year's.

Jessica Rogers

Great family fun. Best time to go is Halloween

Anjie Yates

Went on a field trip with my second grader to Lake Winnie. It’s a good place to get an amusement park feel close to home. It does get crowded quickly and some lines get really long. I like that you can bring in your own food and there are covered tables to use. It was also nice that a Lake Winnie employee came around with cups of free cool water. Plenty of seating around some rides and park for parents waiting. Definitely wouldn’t want to be there when it is super busy but a good place for a bit of family fun.

Nicole Carney

If you can’t get out of it, get into it!! - JRNC Tobey is the absolute best carousel operator at Lake Winnepesaukah! As the carousel begins a recording comes on. Tobey acts as the announcer and the band director, directing the music the whole ride. He had the same enthusiasm at 10am and 7:45pm! The boys loved it! He also begins the ride and end it with, “I hope you have a blessed day.” #tobeyrocks #beliketobey

trentongacoc

It is such a family friendly place and yet still has enough things to do that my wife and I enjoy it, even alone without grandkids :-)

Ritz Raiyne

It was fun made some friends just walking around lol

Susan Wood

Fun, clean park. Water park and rides for ages. My 13 year old loves it.

Mark Fuell

We are here at the park right now. It’s a Friday evening. Came in at 7:15pm. Paid $74 for two people! But we’re already here and the park isn’t very crowded so we figure we can ride a lot in 2.5 hours. My daughter rides the swings. Went ok. Then we get buckled into the smaller roller coaster. Another car gets stuck on the ride so we have to exit and they close the ride. We go across the way to the bigger coaster and they are making people get out of that line because suddenly that ride is closed too. Then we head to the alpine crossing thing to ride over and across the park to see what else we might want to ride. Just then, they close that too. Operator says he doesn’t know why but as we walk away, I hear another employee asking him which part was smoking? 3 rides suddenly broken. Do I feel safe riding anything at this point? So, while the park might be okay for 3 year olds, I have to rate the park for myself. And it gets 1 star from me. If I can find an office, which looks doubtful, I will ask for a refund.

tyler Simpson

It was great!! Haven't had a better day with my kids in a long time.

barbara dekich

Super fun place as I grew up going here . Only complaint is that we showed coupons from the Chattanooga Visitors page for $2.00 off tickets.. attendant refused to take them because they were not printed out.. seriously , in today’s technological times .

Chesley

Becky Owens

I just love to take the family to this amusement park and it is just so much fun

Joshua Trotter

My kids absolutely love this place. Recommend everyone take a day and enjoy this place.

michael fields

Polite and helpful staff. We always have a very good time but Why do they keep running out of cotton candy?

Don Walker

IT is a great family place. The water park and so many of the rides are friendly and age appropriate for younger (3-9 years) children. There is lots of shade and the water park makes it easy to stay cool. A great place for the grandkids!

Went today and had a great time! All employees extremely friendly. Loved the employee on the carousel. He made that ride so much fun! Very family oriented. Lots to do. Can't ride everything in one day. Only downfall, Just wish they had a couple more designated smoking areas.

Gretchen Conner

Always love going here. Love the water park too.

Zach Henson

First time coming here with my family and not to bad of an experience. Had a variety of rides and the lines weren't to long either like Six Flags and other amusement parks. Staff was very friendly and helpful and you can also even bring in your own food and drinks. The only thing I had to complain about is that this amusement park has been around for awhile and they could do some updating to refresh it and make it look new again.

Michael Cline

Some rides were closed, but we still had fun.

Erica Medley

Scattered thunderstorms on 7/30/19 and we were told to "ride it out" and they only do refunds/passes if they have to close the entire park. What a waste of money. We couldn't ride anything because they closed the rides due to lightning and thunder for 45 minutes after the last boom if thunder. You can imagine how long we "rode it out" before we gave up and left. We spent half our time waiting. I'm a local and the price isn't worth the wait any longer. The water park's lazy river smells and tastes like sweat if you have the unfortunate luck to get splashed in the face. The wacky factory is lame. The truck inside doesn't even honk anymore. I wish they would get rid of this one and put in something new. Save your money and go to Six Flags instead.
