Simply put, All American Painting Plus is awesome. They were extremely professional, courteous, and flexible from the first phone call, all the way through the entire project. Rex was the estimator and was patient, open minded, and knowledgeable. The scope of my project changed multiple times and he went out of his way to research what I wanted and met with me several times, at my convenience, numerous times before the work started. Anival was the painter, and as I told Morgan, the office manager (who was also great), he’s the best painter I’ve had. He was more detail oriented than I am, which is hard to to believe, and was more than flexible working around the other workers who were there at the same time he was. He really did a phenomenal job. I will definitely use them again for my painting needs, and will probably call them to see if they have any references for anything else I need to have done, as the tile guy they recommended was also great. To sum it up, I have no regrets about hiring them, and would recommend them with the highest regards (and I’m picky) to anyone else!

The experience got off to a great start with a quick response to my request for an estimate. Brian was on-time for the estimate and provided a very detailed estimate after spending about an hour inspecting the house. The job involved power washing the exterior of the house, replacing rotten wood and painting all trim and stucco on our (large) house. The house had been a rental property for 5-6 years before we purchased it and needed a lot of work. The stucco (EFIS) is 20 years old and had never been painted. Jose and the crew arrived as planned for a 7am start on the agreed first day and we were immediately impressed by their thoroughness and workmanship. They removed down spouts to paint behind and were very thorough in re-caulking all areas. They prepared the wooden trim carefully and painted superbly. The stucco absorbed so much paint that it needed a second coat. We had the same crew every day and they arrived on-time, cleaned up at the end of every day and always left the property clean and tidy. The total job took about 3 weeks including lost days for rain. We are delighted with the work done and all of our neighbors have commented on how much better the house looks now. We will be using All American Painting Plus again.

Among the areas dealt with were fixing shingles on my roof, replacing rotted wood in many areas around the outside of the townhouse, power washing all siding, power washing my deck and the lower patio brick area under the deck and at the front door, power washing wood supports and areas around brick steps leading to the rear of the townhouse, painting new wood with matching colors, painting the hand railing around the deck up story up and staining/sealing the deck floor. They painted my first floor and all upstairs and removed old and painted and installed 10 interior doors! Everyday they let me know what they were doing that day and at the end of the day they told me what they were doing the next day. The set-up and cleaned-up everyday and made sure I could get around. They removed wallpaper first in the hallways which was a hard and awful job. But, they did it and then painted the walls. They are beautiful! An added bonus was I was having trouble picking out paint for all the rooms and they linked me up with one of their color consultants. So helpful and her recommendations were spot on. She even gave me pointers for changing some things up in the rooms.

For starters, the proposal was based on a very detailed listing of every required carpentry, with both the labor and materials cost identified. Such transparency is rare, at least based on our experience. The crew that performed the work was as professional as we have ever hired, and we're on our third exterior painting in 12 years! Having been dissatisfied with previous paint jobs (due to shoddy work and incorrect materials), we were keen on keeping a close eye on the work as it was being performed, and we were very impressed with the considerable attention to detail. The crew was also very polite and amiable. The presence of a foreman on-location essentially full-time gave added assurances that high quality and timely work was being performed. The work has been completed, and the house looks spectacular. With any exterior paint job, of course, durability of the work is a critical criterion for judging the quality of the work. But it is in any case comforting knowing the company provides a two-year warranty, which should be an adequate period to judge how well the caulking and painting will hold. Meantime, we are very optimistic, given what we observed as the work was being performed. We recommend All-American Painting Plus very highly.

All American Painting did an excellent job for us last week. We hired them to paint a basement rec room, the stairwell leading down to it, a back hall, and a laundry room. The rec room had two holes cut in the drywall, one right where the wall met the ceiling, to repair plumbing leaks. The drywall in the laundry room had damage from shelves and a built-in desk we had taken out. All American prepared the surfaces flawlessly. There's a lot of white trim in the back hall, which has six doorways. The door at the end of the hall leading to the back yard has numerous glass panes. The trim was painted perfectly, as was the ceiling (in white), with a perfect line where it meets the yellow wall. This is the second time we've hired them, and I'd definitely have them bid any future work we need done. They arrive promptly, work steadily and keep the work area neat. I thought their bid was reasonable, particularly given the quality of their work.

Very professional and thorough estimator came to our house. He clearly had a lot of experience and was detailed in their capabilities. Though the estimate was not the lowest, we went with them for their professionalism and attention to detail. As a former employee in construction, I had a decent understanding of what makes a professional job, but they offered to go above and beyond what I expected from painters. Those details matter in teh long-run, so we went with them to guarantee and ensure a lasting product in our new home. They also offer a 2 year guarantee, a rarity in the industry. The crew that came out was timely and very nice and respectful. They were also exceptionally clean! When I came home to view the job, I was surprised to not find a drop of paint on the floor (despite having to skim walls and paint both walls and ceilings). I only give them 4 stars because there were some minor flaws (a small scrape here and there and a chip or two), which was very understanding given that they had to skim coat several areas, a job that is impossible to perfect. When their estimator came out to review, he was VERY picky, pointing out things I didin't notice that he wanted to see fixed. Love their attention to detail. When tenants moved out of our rental house in Herndon recently, we needed to have all of the walls, some of the trim, and only two ceilings painted professionally and quickly in order to get the house back on the rental market. We chose All American Painting Plus (AAPP) for the job for three reasons: 1) they have a reputation to protect in this market area; 2) they’re licensed and insured in Virginia, which gives us some assurance that if something goes wrong, it’ll be corrected; and 3) although their price was only slightly lower than another bidder’s, Brian, the company president, told us he would have a crew out the next week and they would finish in 2-3 days. That meant completing the job substantially faster than our other bidder would have been able to do it. Roger, the crew leader, and Jose and Alvin showed up promptly on the appointed morning. After a quick walk-through of the house to review those elements that were and were not to be painted, they got right to work. The job was finished on time and the place looks neat and new again. Without reservation, we recommend AAPP highly.

When tenants moved out of our rental house in Herndon recently, we needed to have all of the walls, some of the trim, and only two ceilings painted professionally and quickly in order to get the house back on the rental market. We chose All American Painting Plus (AAPP) for the job for three reasons: 1) they have a reputation to protect in this market area; 2) they’re licensed and insured in Virginia, which gives us some assurance that if something goes wrong, it’ll be corrected; and 3) although their price was only slightly lower than another bidder’s, Brian, the company president, told us he would have a crew out the next week and they would finish in 2-3 days. That meant completing the job substantially faster than our other bidder would have been able to do it. Roger, the crew leader, and Jose and Alvin showed up promptly on the appointed morning. After a quick walk-through of the house to review those elements that were and were not to be painted, they got right to work. The job was finished on time and the place looks neat and new again. Without reservation, we recommend AAPP highly.

I have never written a review of a company before this one, but I have had such great customer service from All American Painting Plus (AAPP) over the last 8-10 years that I wanted to write this one. They have done both interior and exterior painting for me over the years, and my interactions with the owner, Brian McCracken, have been very positive, and the quality of work has always been very high. I recently contracted with AAPP to paint the interior of my townhouse (about 2500 square feet), which included ceilings, an accent wall, and all wood trim, as well as exterior fences and shutters. I received an estimate from Rex after he met me at the house. His attention to detail in developing the estimate was excellent. He even took photos of the interior to be able to refine the estimate and to match paint with the different rooms. The meeting was not rushed, and he listened to my questions and provided good advice. I received an estimate from a different company for this job (2 estimates only), and I went with AAPP even though their estimate was somewhat higher. The second company did not even provide an estimate for the paint that would be needed (I had to ask for it), and by comparison with Rex the individual who I met with did not give me confidence that the job would be done with care and attention to detail; the meeting was rushed and he did most of the talking. Both the exterior and interior work by AAPP were excellent. The rest of this review focuses on the interior painting, which was led by Rene and a crew of three other painters. Rene and the other painters were friendly, professional and extremely hard working. The guys were prompt (every morning just after 7AM) and worked a full day (until about 3:30 each day); they began each day by laying down protective cover on my hardwood floors and taped up plastic sheeting to restrict movement of dust to the room being worked on, and they ended each day by removing the cover on the floors and vacuuming the dust. These guys were great about cleaning up each day! I had relatively little dust in the house from this job, even though they repaired all nail pops and sanded the walls in a number of places. They were very careful about moving furniture to avoid scratching the floors (no damage!), and in fact Rene came with felt slides for the bottom of heavy furniture. They finished painting in about 10 days (two coats everywhere), and Rene was able to come back to the house a day after I phoned him to request some last touch-ups. The touch-ups included several places that had been marked up on the new paint by a duct cleaning company that I had come in the week after AAPP finished the interior painting. And earlier, Rene had loosened two of the HVAC return grates so that the paint would not be damaged by the duct cleaning, a suggestion I would not have thought of. In summary, my house looks great; the customer service by AAPP was superb; I would definitely hire them again. Even though the cost was higher than the second estimate, the difference was worth every penny.

The work they did made it look as if no work was done at all. We had initially been sited by our HOA on a couple of items.
