Tom Stone first painted the exterior of our home in Semiahmoo, Blaine WA in 2014. We were so impressed with the work ethic and quality of his crew that we hired them again to paint living areas, kitchen, and dining area interior two years later. These painters are so careful, and so precise that even though we had some different colors next to each other you cannot tell that they did not use a 25 foot straight edge ruler on every wall! They just finished the rest of the interior including installation of some crown mounding in two rooms and the completion of all bedrooms, bathrooms, and connecting hallways. They used the same paint numbers from Sherman Williams that we had used previously but when they noticed it went on a little darker than the original they stopped and asked us about the change. We couldn’t tell, but Paul Martin who is now the manager of the paint teams said he felt the paint company had changed their base he offered to pick up a new color swatch and stopped the job to make sure we were good with the colors. The motto of this company is good work and great customer service, and they certainly did themselves proud with our home. Paul was always available, and kept to his original estimate of the job even when we had to cancel due to medical emergency from our original winter schedule. He called me to set up this job after we had cancelled. The two painters who came to our home, Derrick, and Donny over six days to complete the painting were courteous to a fault, and extremely careful Inside our home. They also helped us when we were putting all of our pictures back on the walls after finishing the painting job. In “short”. Tom responded super fast, came out same day and his crew mate, Jeremy, had it done by the afternoon. Smaller interior job but I'm super impressed! Great service, great skill, reasonable rates and Jeremy was super comfortable to have in our home as we were in and out with the kids. Highly recommend!

My experience with Tom and his company was very positive. We met well in advance of the job and discussed specifically what we needed to do to make this a positive experience for both of us. Tom met every element of our discussion and stayed true to the original estimate, and I stayed true to our discussion as well. My wife and I provided detailed written instructions for everything that we wanted done and made sure these instructions we true to the original estimate details agreed to by Tom and me. Tom and crew painted my older home seven years ago and soon after bubbles began to appear. Tom said he corrected the situation but it was not long after that the paint started stripping away in those and other areas. I just spoke with him and he said that the paint job is only guaranteed for one year and on older homes, with existing paint, he said the bottom layers of paint will begin to give way. If you want to see what an older home with an older Puget Sound Paint job looks like, drive past 2800 W. Maplewood Ave. in Bellingham. It's not pretty. The bottom line - if your house is older, with layers of existing paint, I guess you need to have it stripped completely. Good to know for the future.
