We hired Brent and his crew to come do a very detailed job in our home. We had contemplated doing it ourselves, but the time and lack of expertise on our parts had us rethinking the whole overwhelming project. Brent came and gave me a free estimate, and his knowledge and confidence about the job made it seem not as daunting, so we hired him. His price was very reasonable, and less than we expected the job to cost. He showed up with a fantastic crew and they proceeded to transform our home by painting all the interior trim and doors, plus the walls of our office and dining and front rooms. When I became stumped on color-choosing for one of the rooms, Brent was able to help me pick a color based on his experience and knowledge of color pairing - it was not a color even close to what I had planned, but I took his suggestion and it turned out perfect and gave the room the effect I had been going for. Austin, Josh, and Fushi were incredibly nice and hardworking - they even did the heavy lifting of moving our incredibly heavy furniture out of the way. Brent truly has hired a dynamite team to work with him. The finished product is still being raved about, and we plan to hire them to paint more of the interior, and the exterior of our home next Spring. Thank you so much! I contacted Brent to paint the exterior of our 75 year old house after receiving two glowing referrals from others. A mutually agreed upon date was set and when he was available he contacted me. Unfortunately I was going to be away for the start date. No problem. Brent and his crew began prep and three days later I had a great paint job. I was afraid my ancient cedar siding was going to need replacing, but the product Brent's crew used filled and sealed the old cracks. It's better than new. I am always impressed when a contractor cleans up after they are finished and Brent's crew did a great job. They even brought me flowers! After interviewing five local painters, we hired Pro Paint NW to paint our house a few months ago. Brent was super nice, he seemed to have a lot of experience, the company had great online ratings, and their price was competitive. Based on that, I fully expected to be pleased with their work. Unfortunately, we did not have the best experience. The only reason I'm giving a three-star rating and not lower is because I think Brent is an honest man who is working hard to earn a living. I believe our experience would have been much more positive if Brent had been on the job site more often instead of leaving the crew by themselves. First, the pros: All the workers were very polite and courteous. They cleaned up well after themselves and didn't leave a mess behind. They usually arrived on time. The house looks good. Now, the cons: We specifically hired Pro Paint NW because their bid said they would apply 2 coats of paint to our house. Brent explained that 2 coats meant once around the house, then around again. This was exactly what I wanted, so I hired them. But we found out halfway through the painting process that the crew was only applying 1 thick coat because that's the way they like to do it. (I'm assuming they like to do it that way because it saves a lot of time and effort to only apply 1 coat.) What's worse, upon closer inspection of the back and side of the house, the 1 thick coat had left MANY bare patches where the old paint showed through. I took pictures to prove it. They said they would touch-up, but it would be nearly impossible to touch-up all those places because there were so many. It was just a really, really poor paint job. We told them that we wanted two separate coats because that's what we're paying for, so they did a better job on the other half of the house. The back of the house never got a second coat because all the bare patches were still there after they said they would repaint it. We were so frustrated that we got out a ladder and put pieces of masking tape on all the bare spots we could reach so they would see what they missed. They came back and touched-up those spots, but I can still see the old paint showing through in a few places that I didn't notice and point out during the touch-up time. We also felt like we were being told conflicting things by the crew. They made excuses and told us things that didn't line up from day to day. At the end, I just wanted it to be over so I didn't have to deal with them anymore.

First review from 09/2012: You simply MUST hire Brent of Pro Paint Northwest!!!! He is a professional painter whose service and attention to detail are exemplary. My experience with OTHER painters for just obtaining a cost estimate was abysmal ie. only one dollar figure on a quote all the way to not even showing up at the designated time to start the quote process. HOWEVER, Brent of Pro Paint Northwest was VERY reliable, punctual and so polite and professional. His examination of our house and subsequent quote were elaborate and precise and provided to us promptly. We felt his price was very reasonable also. Brent and his crew were a pleasure to have working on our house, finished the job quickly & cleaned up everything prior to leaving. We would hire Brent of Pro Paint Northwest again in a heartbeat!!!! In short, I'm more than happy with the job Brent and his crew did, along with now kind they were. Excellent job, amazingly low price. The long version: I'm a huge DIY guy and consider my self quite handy. I've done things from putting doors into walls where one didn't exist before, built mantles and wall toppers, completely redid two bathrooms (new plumbing, shower surround, new floor, new texture), wiring outlets and running new wires ... basically I do most everything my self and I do a good job. However, when it came to painting our house I would be willing to hire someone to do it if the price was right - if it wasn't, I'd do it my self. We got three different quotes, and Brent (Paint Pro Northwest) was the cheapest by 20% AND he did more for us than the other two offered to do! His price was too good to pass up so we went ahead and hired him. Communication was pretty darn good and they were able to keep most of their appointments, however it was late spring when they painted, so the weather wasn't as cooperative as we would have liked. All of his employees were VERY kind, willing to answer questions and do it the job the way you request. They pressure washed, scrapped everything I saw needing attention AND more, primed - the whole kit and caboodle. He also did a few other goodies for us while at our place. Most importantly, the paint job was flawless in the end. A few spots were touched up during the walk-around, but once that was done, flawless. We've been looking at the new paint for weeks now and still can't find a single thing to complain about. They painted up in the eaves and soffits perfectly, something we were picky about because whom ever painted the house for the previous owners did a horrible job. They pressure washed one day, scrapped and primed another, and finally painted it another - which they did complete in one day, several coats too. Their clean-up was almost perfect as well, a few paint chips left from scraping here and there, a few small drips of paint on the sidewalk, but all in all, a very good job. Brent was the 3rd person I've ever contracted a job to in the 10 years I've owned a house, and he was BY FAR the best. I've said it once, but I'll say it again - His price was 20% lower than the other two quotes we got AND he did a few other things for us as well. He and his crew were VERY nice, helpful and cooperative. We couldn't be happier with our paint job, honestly, for the price I'm amazed. If I ever decide to paint my house again, or purchase a new house and have it painted, I will seek Brent and his Paint Pro Northwest company out. I will also recommend him to ANYONE who is thinking about painting their house. Brent, thank you very much for what you did for us - tell your crew thanks for us as well!

Pro Paint Northwest was one of three companies that we received quotes from to paint the exterior of our house. They were definitely the most professional and helpful out of the three.
