We had two bedrooms painted and “everything white” on our house power washed. That included the painted wood railings on all porches and areas surrounding the windows. One area of our back porch was particularly bad with black and green algae spots all over. The power washing made the house look almost brand new. We were SO happy with the results. The two painted bedrooms came out great as well. All three of the crew members who came to do the work were professional and very friendly. Project description: The Benjamin Moore paint used included one color and the rest white (ceilings and trim were both white) which turned out very well. Tidewater Painting painted the downstairs living room, hallway and connected two-story, split level, foyer with 18 foot ceiling. All walls, ceilings, baseboards and three doors downstairs were painted. Upstairs, the 15 foot hallway, walls, ceilings, baseboards and bedroom doors were all painted. Even the staircase spindles were all trimmed. The staircase handrails were added during the job because the crew was doing such a great job and Jeremy, again, got it done that day! Overall, outstanding job! Will hire again and recommend! Thank you all, again, Jeremy for the job well done.

Awesome customer service from my initial request for an estimate to job completion. Jeremy provided recommendations on the best type stain for my deck and my deck looks fabulous. Although not the cheapest estimate I received, his attention to detail and overall customer focus was more than worth the few extra dollars. Outstanding quality of work and meticulous attention to detail is what sets this company head and shoulders above the rest. These guys did an awesome job on a whole house re-paint, and it made a 50 year old house look decades newer. You can really tell a difference in a "professional" job versus a DIY job. Sure, I could have done it myself, but it would not have come out anywhere near as good as what these fellas did, and I felt completely at ease with them in my home. That alone is not something I would feel comfortable saying about most contractors nowadays, but these guys were complete gentlemen.

I was not happy with my experience with Tidewater painting . It was a bad experience. A lot of wrong things happened. I gave 3 starts because I was able to communicate with Jeremy and part of the painting is ok. Thought I told him that I will not write a bad review, I could not especially that I got other painters to come to my house and I noticed the difference (In the work and the price). So it is not fair. Now as for the reasons why it was a bad experience, well a lot. I will briefly state few: Wrong colors (They tried to convince me it is the one I choose, but the 3 guys that did the paintings said it is the wrong color), Painted one of the room with wrong color Had less paint that they should and they had to stop the work,though they all said before that they need more paint, and nothing was done. They did not clean afterward. Very expensive. The guys that did the painting seems like good guys, so I am not upset but very disappointed and I had to share this experience. I hope they will learn from it, especially that their reviews are excellent.

I have used Tidewater Painting for almost a decade. They have done jobs such as indoor and outdoor painting, roof washing, dry rot replacement, and deck staining. I have never compared prices because quality, responsiveness, honesty, and trustworthiness rate so high to me, that I don't want to take chances on another company. I do not have to hover or worry about theft. They have never charged me for estimates or made me purchase my own paint or equipment. I have never been charged over estimate, in fact have sometimes been billed lower than estimate. When touch ups have been required (even not at their fault), they have worked with me, and so far never charged for the additional time. They make you feel as if you are valued and extended friends.

Edit-- After a response from the owner I'll assume wity incorrect info, we never got a quote. But our newly painted house looks amazing from someone who provided excellent customer service and a quote. If I could give zero stars I would. Rude guy shows up, walked around for 5 minutes tops (quote to paint entire inside and outside of 2000 sq ft home, garage doors and the second floor siding). I asked a few questions and with the personality of a rock I got simple one word responses. Asked recommendations and got oh just paint it all white. As he was leaving, he said keep an eye on your email, I'll be outside for about 5 minutes, I literally turned around locked the back door and he wasnt even outside anymore. Guess what, that was Monday morning, today is Wednesday and no email with a quote. We stressed the urgency of this project only to not even get a quote. Save your time and look elsewhere. If they cant send a quote, makes me wonder if they'll even show up.

Tidewater Painting initially was scheduled to repaint our two-story foyer wall by Cox Cable Company after their technician damaged the wall while installing cable and after another painting company attempted and failed to match the original paint. Tidewater did such a great job that we personally contracted them to paint the entire large foyer and cathedral ceiling. Jeremy came out to our location and reviewed the work we wanted done, then sent us an email listing the agreed upon work and cost estimate, and kept in touch via text. On the date of the job, Tidewater’s painting professionals, Nathan and Jose’ arrived at 8am, introduced themselves politely, discussed the job with me, covered all floors, stairs, and railings, and proceeded to attend to the job in a professional and polite manner. Jose’ even noticed me carrying a basket of laundry down the stairs and immediately offered his assistance. Wow! What a breath of fresh air! We purchased this home 6 months ago and have had a number of contractors in to do work and it is usually stressful. Sadly we have experienced workers showing up late, or not at all, or the work is sub-standard. Tidewater Painter’s work is exceptional. As is their work ethic. They have exceeded our expectations. It is a true pleasure to have these gentlemen in our home and we already have plans to use their services in the future. I’d give them more than 5 stars if I could...
