I called this company because of it's rating- don't be fooled!! Paul came and did a prompt estimate, he set up a tentative date, but someone from the office would call to get it on the schedule. Someone called and set the date that I had requested and the day after to make sure the job was completed to my satisfaction. Today is the day of the painting, it's 10:30 in the morning...no painters. I called into the office to see when I should expect them- I am NOT on their schedule for painting today or anytime as a matter of fact!! After we spent the greater part of the weekend cleaning and organizing the area for the painters access. WHAT A JOKE!!! Don't use this company!!

We got three differnt quotes and theses guys were the best. They were the most professional which is a huge plus in my book. They were very friendly and when they came out to give me a quote they were the only ones to measure right there and then. They didn't guess how much paint was needed so there was no suprise charges when they came out to do the job. They got it done quickly and when they couldn't come out the day we had arranged (because it was raining which is absolutely understandable) they let me know in a good amount of time. Also after they were done and we looked at the job we pointed out a few spots that were missed and they fixed it right there and then. The painters and the quoter were so nice I would definitely recommend them.

This was the second time we have used CertaPro Painters. On both occasions we were well-pleased. For this current job, they painted the exterior trim, gables and porch siding as well as two garage doors. The painting was done by Armando Saravia in a very professional manner. Due to the threat of hurricane winds and heavy rain the job had to be postponed but we were kept informed about the rescheduling date and time. Every phone call was answered or returned promptly and were were also kept informed about the progress and the process. The office contact, Brandi, was also very responsive to our calls and questions. Each day the site was cleaned and ladders stacked. Armando made sure that we were well-satisfied before leaving the site. It has been six weeks since the job was completed and the finished results look beautiful. We would definitely recommend CertaPro Painters of Chesapeake to prospective clients.

Update: 11/02/2018 . I am updating my google feedback, because I feel that Certapro did make considerable effort to get things right. It took several months, but all issues were resolved satisfactorily. I feel that there is integrity here even when it cost them to repair and get things right. I have moved my stars from 1 to 4 in fairness to Certapro's actions. ________________________________________________________ Original Post: Damaged property and no to attempt communicate. Painters came out to pressure wash house before painting the next day. Damaged gutter because they placed a ladder at at step angle on the gutter (they are painters, shouldn't they know how to place a ladder so this doesn't happen?)...not only dented the gutter, but also bent it. On the back side of the house broke the siding, and the overall the pressure washing was disaster leaving streak marks all over the house and looking way worse than before. I am getting ready to list my house for sale, I don't need more projects to do. After seeing these problems, I told them to hold off on continuing to paint until we figured out a solution (kindly, but firmly). I have sent 5 emails to my sales rep who said was forwarding to "Brooke". I have called twice, and told I would get a call back. No call back or email from "Brooke" who is is supposedly my production manager, and we are on day two. I did get a call back from the painter "reassuring" me that all would be fixed, but I haven't heard back from the office so all "reassurance" is lost. I have lost complete confidence and faith in this company especially since they say, "we will stay in constant communication", and we will "treat your property like our own". UPDATE: 05/04/18 Company has called me back regarding the damages and said willing to fix. UPDATE: 05/11/18 Company repaired damaged gutter. No response yet on rest of damage. Uping from 1 star to 3 as they have been somewhat responsive. UPDATE: 07/18 Siding remedied. UPDATE: 11/01/18 Final resolution.

I am completely satisfied with the work done by Certapro Painters. Armando and Justin were excellent! Besides being very good at what they do they are very friendly and personable! I felt the price was very fair also. I would highly recommend Certapro and I will hire them again for other projects.

We had CertaPro come out and give us an estimate to paint our vaulted entry way and living room ceilings, they were very professional and reasonably priced. When they arrived to do the work they put tarps down on the ground and covered the stairs with plastic. They did a GREAT job on our vaulted ceilings!! The team that came to our home was great...courteous, friendly, and seemed like they really wanted to please the customer. They worked well together and were well managed by their lead person. As they stated in the contract, they did two coats of paint all over the trim of the house, our back porch and doors. The house looks great and I would recommend Certapro Painters to anyone. In addition, there were no hidden charges, the quote was the quote and everything was done professionally. I have a few other plans for the near future and plan on bringing them again for the interior of the house. Great service!

Hired certapro to Paint my home. They damaged my newly installed flooring and is giving me the run around to replace it. Never to be hired again. They are dodging my calls and resolution to the matter. Find alternatives to your house painting needs.

My whole house job was fair. The coverage is fair- I think the promise of two coats actually was one coat and a touch-up where more paint was obviously needed. It was applied with a roller and not all brushed. The worst part was the spray paint of the fence. I did my part and got the bushes cut back 2 feet from the fence, but absolutely nothing was done to protect anything. Grass, bushes, brick edging (!), parts of the fence not supposed to be painted, were are carelessly over-sprayed. I did not see a full size drop cloth during the entire job- and it shows! Drips and splatter are evident on my freshly painted deck.

We hired CertaPro for a second job in our home after they did a great job on our vaulted entry way and living room ceilings. This time as before they laid tarps to protect our wooden floor and placed plastic over the lights and kitchen cabinets. They did an excellent job painting out kitchen, dining room and hallway ceiling and cutting in around the crown molding. We would defiantly hire them and again and recommend them to anyone needing some professional painting done. - Julie Fluegel
