We were so happy with James Atherton's work to our house, garage and shed exteriors last summer that we hired him to paint our newly remodeled bedroom this week. This included new crown moulding and an accent wall, all of which came out crisp, evenly covered and just beautiful. Surprisingly, he was even more than willing and able to repaint a set of old wardrobes for us, and they came our smooth and evenly colored, looking new. He practices proper preparation so his results are optimal. James has always arrived on time, finishes on time, and communicates appropriately. He makes good suggestions when asked and his crew is polite and industrious, and his pricing is competitive. We will be hiring him again to paint our living room.

November of 2017 my wife and I hired Atherton to gut and remodel our bathroom and I'm here to say it was the best decision and reasonable money wise. His employees are very competent and extremely skilled. If you you find a minor defect anywhere that may have been overlooked,just give James a call, he is very meticulous and takes his business very seriously. He's not happy till your happy. We had a lot of tile work done and his tile man is exceptional and pays attention to detail. The crew was great about cleaning up after themselves and when the job was done the only way you could tell they were here is by noticing there great work. Sure you can hire a fly by night and probably save a couple bucks, but if you want perfection and to be treated like your number one,then Atherton Painting and Construction will fulfill your every needs. James's crew, led by Mike, did an exterior paint job on our 140 year old house. We made an inquiry from the website, and got a response from James within minutes. The crew did a thorough job scraping and preparing the surfaces, primed and painted the whole house within 7 days. They consulted with us regarding trim colors and brand of paint to be used. Mike did some extras, such as putting a rubberized waterproof coating on high-up horizontal returns and window frame caps, and re-attached some loose crown molding. They cleaned up the job site every day--after 5 PM it didn't look like painters had been working. At the end of the job, they picked up loose paint chips, before James and Mike walked around the house with us to inspect the job. The job came in on budget and the house looks great. Mike was courteous, conscientious, and hard-working--exactly the type of person homeowners would want. James was in touch throughout the process. He runs a good operation. We plan to use Atherton painting for other jobs, and recommend them wholeheartedly to friends and neighbors.

They converted my "bath fitter" style shower/tub into a beautiful stand up shower, with a new tile floor, freshly painted walls, installation of a new vanity, aka: the works.
