Our painter's, Evarm & Diana, were fantastic! We wanted a complicated design on one of our walls and it turned out beautifully. They repaired an extremely damaged wall, and were able to match the texturing on the other walls in the room. They are reasonably priced and were able to work us in on a tight timetable and finish on time. We recommend them, and would definitely use them again.

Five Star Painting came yesterday and did a great job taking care of repainting the exterior trim on our house and our front door. They were very careful about taping everything and paying attention to the detail work. The only reason this review isn't 5 stars is that the project manager who originally came out and gave us a bid on the project disappeared soon after (turns out he quit his job), and it took several phone calls and a couple of weeks to get our project back on track with the company.

I very much regret hiring 5 star painting. At the time of the estimate, I was told very clearly that certain things would be done, like fixing corner cracks in the sheetrock and other cosmetic items. None of these things happened even after asking multiple times before and after the interior of my house was painted. It was clear that the people painting my house had no interest in doing a good job. The prep work was done poorly. Proper time was not taken to sand what they puttied so I can see all the nail holes that they tried to fix. Many of the cut in areas in the corners were done poorly so the old paint color is still visible. There are many areas where the paint dripped. I had them paint the walls and the baseboards, yet there are many areas where I can see a strip of the old paint right above the baseboards. The paint lines were done inaccurately. They painted the wall next to my fridge and then pushed my fridge up against the wet paint. I was very unhappy a week later to find my new fridge stuck to the wall. It was very difficult to get it unstuck from the wall and cleaned. They took my personal ladder out from a room that was not being painted without asking and used it while they sprayed the ceiling. Now my ladder is covered in ceiling paint spray. They got ceiling paint spray on my new couches. When I went through the house and pointed out some of the areas that needed attention, the person fixing the problem areas did a terrible job again. It is clear to me that the painters that painted my house were not professionals and had no interest in doing a good job. Their only goal was to get the paint on the wall as quickly as possible. I just spent my whole Saturday fixing all the issues that these painters made. I had no trust in asking them to come back to try and fix the problem areas. Very disappointed in Five Star Painting.

I am very disappointed with my experience. I had an issue with my paint project and needed an advocate to help me through it. I was sad to find that the office manager has very poor customer service. She checks in often but doesn't follow through with any concerns/requests. The painter wasn't able to help me and would only refer me to the office manager. You get what you pay for. These guys were thousands of dollars cheaper than the other bids we got to paint about 1200 square feet in three-tone paint, and the could start the soonest. So of course we went with them. Generally speaking, they were easy to communicate with, quick to respond, and reliable. That's part of why they get three stars. But as I look around the house, I'm just so disappointed. At first glance, it looks good. The edges by the ceilings are really crisp and clean. But overall the whole job is really lacking in the details. They covered everything in paper and plastic, then sprayed base boards, then walls, and then ceiling. There's over-spray everywhere. EVERYWHERE. I keep finding more and more places with white paint on our brand new floors, places where the gray walls were not painted well enough and they look patchy, edges of door casings that were missed, and places where they said they had prepped the walls, but there's evidence they didn't, etc. Lazy prep work appears to be the #1 problem in all of our house. They promised to caulk and sand all nail holes and they missed SO many. They did a lazy/poor job caulking/sanding the ones they did catch. They asked us to mark touch ups after they "finished" and we found probably 100 things that were done poorly. They came back twice for touch ups and missed things we had marked both times. Like I said, the price, communication, and timing were all really good. But I'm tired of looking around at different places in my home and seeing patchy paint or sloppy edges. When looking for someone to paint your home, go with someone else. This is not a five-star job. Update 6/20/19--Currently in the process of fixing the job with them. Will update the review once issues have been resolved. Update 7/29/19--The office manager (Constance) came and walked through our house and spent a lot of time being appalled at what she saw, even bad-talking their own employees. She assured us that she would have something scheduled the next day and that she would come back with the painters and personally make sure they fixed everything. It took three weeks before painters showed up again. They showed up without Constance, without notice, without an appointment, and without any ability to speak English other than Google Translate. I didn't mind the language barrier so much because I speak a bit of Spanish and we made it work. But it was frustrating to have them show up on our doorstep two days in a row without appointments. On the final day, I called in to work to tell them I'd be a couple hours late just so I could do what Constance was supposed to be there doing---tracking every single fix they made. In the end, it's still just a lousy job. The texture on the touch-ups is weird because they originally sprayed everything and then touched things up with a paint brush. Ultimately, they can't really touch things up when the problem was lazy prep work!! I'm really unsatisfied and would NOT recommend this company to anyone. They make a lot of promises that they just don't keep. They kept promising to make it all right in the end, but what they should have done is get it right the first time around. Originally gave them three stars, but have lowered it to two because I feel like they wasted thousands of dollars of our money and took two months to "finish" a job that was promised to take only six days.

This company is awful! First off they always show up late or don't show up when they are scheduled to come. It took them A month to get everything completed and touched up. Everytime they were scheduled to come for touch ups or finish work they wouldn't show up so i would have to call and set up another day for them to come. Second, they had illegal workers that didnt speak any English at all so that made it difficult for explaining things and they most definitely didnt care about they awful work they did. There are so many drips, uneven lines and the patch works was so bad! I do a better job a painting then this company and wish I would never have went with them!! STAY AWAY FROM THEM!!

my experience with five star painting started out well, I had a guy come out and bid my garage and the customer service from Constance was great. However when it came time to get the job done, the miss communication within the management was horrible. I had to manage my own project, Good thing I speak Spanish so that I could communicate with the painter. The painter was a really hard worker and did a good job, he tried to make it right when five star was falling way short of its expectations. But it wasn’t his job to do so. Unfortunately, the management is horrible and when your paying that kind of money $$$$ you should NOT have to Manage the job and the job should be done RIGHT from the start. I will never use them again and I’ll never recommend them either.

Five Star Painting gets an 'A' rating! I needed the underside of our deck painted. Got 3 bids and Five Star was the best quote. One may be a little hesitant to go with the lowest bid but we did and was not disappointed. The two painters showed up on the scheduled day and after checking things out went to work. They both were professional in their work, from taping everything, to painting (two coats), and the clean up. Would use Five Star Painting again for any job.

They even recommending special products for specific surfaces with no uncharges, and handling some small details that weren't in the bid and even repainting some trim that I told them to paint the wrong color. Really nice guys to work with, I would love to have them back at my house anytime. 5 Star even recommended a carpenter for repairs to go along with painting and coordinated well with him during the project.

Not only did their their bid come in the lowest but they seemed the most knowledgeable about how to go about painting our 60 year old brick home and what paints to used. 5 Star Painting did interior painting for us. This included living room and dining rooms, kitchen and hallways. There were some cathedral ceilings. Curtis gave the bid and promised the sun, the moon and the stars. He was a good salesman. Our painters were Pedro and Jose. They were polite, clean and did a very good job. They needed 3 layers of paint in the living and dining rooms and did a very good job. They did however get paint on our carpet in the hallways by the stairs and baseboards. They spilled some paint on the carpet and it seems they tried wiping it up but it just pushed the paint into the fibers. I didn’t discover these things until the next day which was Saturday. I got out my Bissell and kept putting water on the area and sucking it out with the Bissell. I worked on this and other places for the next two days. They also missed some places on the walls and some repairs. That said, they were hard workers and I feel there was too much work for the 5 days allotted for our job. There should have been more prep time figured in. They also painted three outside doors and mistakenly painted the weather stripping and then shut the doors. Needless to say the doors dried shut and were stuck. Erick, the project manager came by and promised to fix everything. Some things were fixed and some we are still waiting on. There has been no communication for over a week. At first I was told that they would send someone to clean the carpets where there was paint. After a few days they told me to hire my own carpet cleaner and they would help with the payment. By that time the paint was getting very dry and harder to get out. My carpet guy came and worked hard and got most of the paint out. I had him divide the bill and only sent 5 Star the bill for the worst parts. Constance in the office texted back and said she would show the bill to her boss. It has been 12 days and we have heard nothing. Erick came by about that time and brought new weather stripping to install. We were just leaving for the day and didn’t know he was coming. There have been communication problems. We had to work to get the doors open. Some of that painting has been damaged with that. Everyone has been very nice. Constance was hoping for a 5 star rating and I have wanted to give it but at this point I can only give 3 stars.

very unprofessional company called and got a quote for one of my hotels for the exterior stucco they gave me a competitive bid but never followed through with any thing scheduled a date to come paint and they never showed up or even bothered to call me to let me know called them three times before i got a call back from them after i told them i would no longer need there services also they had no clue about what type of permit we needed or how to get it since some of the work would need to be done street side via a lift i would recommend you go with a company that is a little more professional and dose not act like its there first rodeo....

Well I don't know if they're good or not since they never made it to our house. A guy came over a couple weeks ago to do an estimate and said we'd receive the quote by 10:00 AM the next morning. We hadn't received it by 3:00 PM so I called to see what the status was, and he said he'd send it in a few minutes. The next day rolled around and we still hadn't received it. I called for an update, was told it'd be sent in a few minutes, and eventually got it at around 5:00 PM. I responded to it via email to schedule a time for them to begin, but didn't get a response. My fiance emailed to schedule, didn't get a response. I called the office to get a more direct method of communication, and was transferred to the project manager who didn't pick up. I left a voicemail saying I just wanted to schedule a time for the work to be done, but never heard back.

I just had a great experience with 5 Star Painting. I had them paint the exterior of my brick house (soffit, trim, and entry doors). I am very satisfied with the end product. I was super impressed with the amount of prep work that was done and care that was taken to protect all of the brick and my windows from any over-spray. Communication was really good and Constance kept in contact with me frequently through either text message or phone calls. The best part of the experience though was how a couple of details that were overlooked were remedied. On my entry doors, some areas were missed or not painted as I would have liked. Small details like this can crop up on any job, but Five Star took care of it right away and worked with my schedule to have someone come back out and take care of the issue. In my experience, not all companies are as willing to come back out after a job is finished and Five Star did so without hesitation. I would not hesitate to hire them again. Oh, and they were quite a bit more affordable than a couple of other quotes I got.

The workers were kind, hard working and did a wonderful job. However the communication between PM, supervisors and workers could have been better. Misunderstanding of tasks, asking me multiple times the same questions, was a bit frustrating. I wish they would have covered the inside of our home with plastic to contain the dust that came through the gaps around the doors from the weather stripping being removed. We ended up doing it after our basement had fine dust all over everything. Last of all we were told three doors could be completed in 3-4 days. 1 worker was sent the first two days and additional workers came on day 3. We are on day 10 and they just finished. The doors turned out nice, just frustrated with the process.

Don't waste your time. After a few phone calls and a couple of rescheduled bid appointments an estimator finally came to our home. We were told that he would have a bid ready that night. We finally received a bid the next afternoon but only after multiple phone calls, emails and texts, most of which went unanswered. We had requested a couple of different bids - one to include one floor and one to include both floors. The bid we received only included one floor. We had to send more texts and emails to receive the other bid. Once we did a few of our other questions still went unanswered. Overall, it felt like five start did not want our business and we ended up getting more professional bids from other companies.

Because of the high ratings of this company, I had an estimator come provide a quote. During the process he said he would send me the estimate line-by-line per room so I could see what each room cost. The estimate came in as a lump-sum instead. I emailed asking to get the quote the way I was told they would. The estimator responded that he could provide the quote with certain rooms excluded. I sent three follow-up emails to get clarification, but he would no longer respond to my emails. I called the main office, who then made him call me back. He called, and told me that because I was condescending to him (by asking for my estimate? I'm not sure...) that they were just going to pass on my business. I am still in shock. I've never been treated like this by a company, even BEFORE being a paying customer. Wow. No friends or family will ever be using this company.

Not a prize paint job. Please understand that two coats of paint to this company means stroke forward, and then stroke back. They told us this after the job was complete! There is no drying in between strokes. Also, the estimator will tell you that they lightly sand. They do not. So, the job is at best mediocre and we are disappointed. I will say that they did come back (after some pestering) and fix some of the worst of the paint job and that they were always polite (as were we). A very civil but less than average job.
