Mike did a beautiful job on our kitchen cabinets! He was very easy to work with, communicative, and knowledgeable. When we bought our home, our cabinets and mouldings were an outdated beige color, and they had huge knots that I asked Mike to fill before painting. Some of the knots were just gaping holes that I initially believed could not possibly be filled, but Mike told me it would be no problem and filled them seamlessly! It's been a little over 5 months since he did the job, and I still can't believe how perfect and smooth they look. When Mike finished, he instructed me on how to clean and care for the cabinets and offered to do touch-ups later on if needed. He also gave me great advice on what to do with our ugly backsplash when I asked. I highly recommend his services, and his prices are very reasonable. You should contact him now as he may be booked out several weeks! I plan to call him again for future paint jobs. After seeing the quality and speed of his work, I don't ever want to paint anything myself again!

Mike did a good job on the paint work itself. No complaints there. My problem was that I had specified a Benjamin Moore color and I am more than happy to pay for a Benjamin Moore color. I found out after the fact ( and after paying him) that he had actually used PPG paint without telling me. It is definitely not the right shade/color match to the Benjamin Moore that I was looking for and I'm very disappointed.

It was great working with Mike for our kitchen cabinets and walls. He was always quick to respond to any questions I had about the work before he started as well as during. He was great about cleaning and putting away his tools to one side of the kitchen at the end of the day. I was very picky about the work and made note of things I wanted touched up during the project. Mike was also prompt to respond to questions I had after the project was done. His pricing was fair and I liked that he didn't nickel and dime me for everything. And I was pleasantly surprised when my cabinet doors came back that he had filled the knots on the inside (others wanted to charge me more for that). Overall, I was really pleased.

Mike did an Excellent job on our kitchen cabinets and built in book shelves. He was booked two months out, but squeezed me in when he had a change in his schedule. He is a great communicator and gets back to you right away. They were efficient, fast and very professional. He is a nice, funny guy with a lot of knowledge on paint and how it works with wood. I loved that he explained a lot of things to me, and how to best care for the cabinets. I get compliments all the time on how good my cabinets look, and you would never know its not their original color. His pricing is very fair, and a great value. I got several quotes and he was competitive and seemed the most knowledgeable. He has an excellent warantee on his work and he came back 11 months later to do some touch up work. I had messed up one of my cabinets and he fixed it free of charge and was very responsive and happy to do it. I would highly reccommend him to my friends, and have several times.

Scheduling and timeliness were good for this project. We were able to get on the books quickly and they came/finished on schedule. They did a very good job filling the holes in our knotty alder cabinets and the paint job was (largely) smooth. Otherwise, our experience was mixed (see advice to future customers below). Keep in mind that some of our experience relates to the results on our dark base cabinets. They may not be as much of an issue if you are only doing white or another light color. ADVICE: WHAT WE WISH WE HAD DONE DIFFERENTLY A. Get a sample of the exact PPG paint beforehand to get a true color swatch (especially if you want an exact match). The color formulation of PPG paint is not true match to other brands. Ours was not true to the original Benjamin Moore color. B. Do a wear test on the paint. If you are choosing a color significantly different than your original finish (or much darker than white primer), you may want to do some wear testing yourself. Darker colors may not hold up well over time and are prone to noticeable scuffs. C. Confirm whether they can use a tinted primer (or additional coats) for dark colors. We painted our base cabinets a dark gray and a tinted primer/additional coats would have improved the final finish. D. Be prepared for a somewhat disgruntled crew. If anything about your cabinets is not what they expected (for example, your handles are tight), you will hear grumbling and be made to feel that your project is particularly onerous. E. Remove the handles ourselves. This would have helped us avoid stripped screws on some of the handles and unnecessary grumbling. F. Cover the floors ourselves. If you are concerned about getting paint on your floors (or anything else), consider covering them yourselves before they come. They do mask off things, cover floor, and put up plastic sheeting, but we still ended up with paint on our laminate floors. G. Check the finish very thoroughly for flaws or uneven coverage BEFORE they leave. There were a number of finish issues that are visible on our dark base cabinets (and, even then, only at close range). They did offer to return and fix the issues, but that does end up being additional time and inconvenience (for both parties).

Mike did an excellent job on our kitchen. The cabinets look better than I thought they would. I had a towel with the color I wanted, and he was able to color match it for me. I was thrilled to see the finished product.

Mike did an excellent job painting our kitchen cabinets. We had one bank of cabinets that were worn and chipping terribly from water drips and 4 rough and tumble boys. We had him paint the bank of cabinets to match the rest of the kitchen cabinets and he did an amazing job. They totally match the rest of the kitchen. It looks awesome. My only regret is that I didn't have him do it years ago. His price was fair, he was there when he said he'd be there and he was really quick to respond to any questions or concerns I had when I'd text him. A few weeks after he installed them I noticed one drawer face looked slightly different than the others and I asked him if he'd re-do it. He fixed the problem, didn't charge me, and had it done over the weekend. It doesn't get better than that. I'd highly recommend him!
