I'm guessing that most of the people who have had a negative experience with Thomas have been too intimidated to write a review. (I'd encourage you to read his lower-rated Yelp reviews and also his responses.) I hired Thomas when I was preparing my house to put it on the market and my usual handyman was unavailable. He showed up and gave me what seemed like a high estimate but I needed the work done quickly so I agreed. The first day, things went great - he worked 6 hours and knocked out quite a few of the items on my list. The remaining three days, he worked less each day and spent more time either talking to me or on the phone. He was an adequate painter and did a good job with some outside repairs but other tasks (like replacing some pool tile and using caulk that didn't match instead of sanded grout) were not completed to my satisfaction. When I pointed this and other items out, he argued with me. He also kept trying to upsell me on additional repairs. On the final day, he went on a political rant that was, frankly, pretty scary. He also showed me pictures of him dressed in black SWAT-like gear, holding guns and told me he had "a license to hunt down drug dealers." I texted him after he left and let him know I wouldn't need him for the final day. I was able to get my usual handyman (a U.S citizen - which I only mention because Thomas went on a rant about this topic) to complete the final items at roughly half the rate I paid Thomas. All in all, I learned an important lesson about hiring someone based solely on online reviews.

Thomas Korpal with Excellent American Painting just finished my shower renovation and his work is excellent. Thomas is dependable, friendly and works very hard. I would recommend him for any home repair job. My shower is beautiful and the paint job he did in my bathroom is perfect. I am very pleased with his work.

Thomas does excellent work as the title of his business states. I would recommend him to do any project around your home. He is bonded and insured. You can trust him to do a professional job as. He is truly a professional craftsman. I can’t say enough good things about his work. I use him for everything. If he can’t do it he will recommend quality people to assist you. No do overs mistakes or damage to your property with Thomas.

Do not hesitate to hire Thomas . He not only does great work, but he's a really trustworthy and great guy! He replaced wood around garage door with painting ,reasonable price. Honestly and working hard man who does things like that these days? I showed him another project I was trying to complete on my own, (a broken door knob) and he went ahead and did that for me as well! He even helped me discard the heavy leftover concrete board I purchased for the job. I definitely plan on hiring him to do more work in the future. He's reliable, trustworthy, reasonably priced and a great conversationalist to boot!

Contacted them on a Friday morning to get an estimate to replace a gate and section of fence that had blown down in a storm last year. By 2pm, they called me back with an estimate, and the next day (Saturday) completed the work in 100 degree weather in just a few hours. Easily the best handyman experience I've ever had. Thomas are very professional, responsible, hard working, accommodating, & most importantly offer a GREAT VALUE for his services. We have never had any issues completing the projects we contract with Thomas. Yes, there are times when paint drips may get missed during the clean up - but this is to be expected; when Thomas is notified of any oversights he always makes sure they are corrected in a very timely manner. I find Thomas to be very caring of his profession and it shows in his work. A few years ago I asked an employee at Sherwin Williams which painters he recommends, and he quickly mentioned Thomas and another guy as being the best painters he knows. Since then, I've used Thomas for a number of painting jobs around the house. He's always professional, on-time, and provides a good value for his work. He pays attention to detail and is someone I trust in my house while I'm at work or away. He's not the cheapest guy out there, but he provides excellent value. I highly recommend.

Professionalism, quality products. Application techniques craftsmanship - excellent ! Time management skills perfect. If the company says they'll be there on certain day. Finished by certain day they follow through with their word. His work will last a lifetime or years depending on what u have done. We've done everything from painting, to removal of outside door, installation of new door with hinges on the proper side -facing in the house. Thomas upon a walk-through noticed the builder installed our door with hinges on the outside. Not the proper type of outside hinges. Anyone could pop off the hinges and come into our home. Thomases observation and his ability to do the work and the craftsmanship has protect our home and family years to come. Installation of a TV set over fireplace and all wires are hidden. Now have wireless surroundsound!
