A few months after buying our home, there was a bad rainstorm with winds and it caused leakage from the roof into our living room (Oct 2015). Long story short, the house was leaking in a weird location due to a previous addition. Specialized equipment was needed to identify the leak and we were at the mercy of waiting for bad weather between inspecting the roofing and chimney cap repairs. Ultimately, it took a few attempts to fully resolve the problem but 21st Century was always very fair in charging us, as well as respecting their warranty. I felt like they made our home a priority to come back and repeatively inspect it for new leaks over the course of several months. They also did an excellent job with the interior painting and repair of the ceiling. Therefore, when we sustained significant roof damage with Harvey, using 21st Century again for complete roof replacement was a no brainer! They do excellent work, are professional and trustworthy.

They did a great job considering we were living in the house. The job is messy but they did a professional job cleaning up after the fact. Our ceiling was more difficult due to it having a semi-gloss paint on it which contributed to the mess. They also fixed a hole in our ceiling from a leaking A/C unit. For reference, our ceilings in some locations are 16ft tall and that was not an issue for them. We would highly recommend them. We will be using them for future work. Pricing was very good, less than what we expected, and as I said the work was very professional.

The crews at 21st Century did an excellent job. We had some repair work necessary on the roof line due to rats chewing the press board that was used in the original construction. They replaced with hardy board and then painted all of the woodwork on the outside. Then another crew can in to paint three rooms inside. The workers were competent and well trained. IO would recommend them to anyone.

Short review : I needed to have my house painted exterior and had no less than three quotes. Gary of 21st Century Painting & Roofind could talk the talk and walk the walk. And, he did it well in May 2018. He had the best price among all quotes. I have very happy with the clarity of his quote, his timely communication, and the quality of work of his crew. I highly recommend Gary from 21st Painting & Roofing for exterior painting. Long review : my house is a two story with high roof sitting on a sloped land. I need to have its exterior paint which include facias, lintels, stuccos, veranda ceiling, garage door and frame, front and back doors and frames and vent hoods. Gary's crew spent the first day power washed exterior of my house; and, the seond day to paint and caulk the aforementioned items. There was no paint stain on my lawn, flower beds, nor plants. I would hire 21st Century Painting & Roofing again.

Hired 21st for a baseboard painting job. They did an okay job for the price. Their quote was significantly cheaper among the four quotes I received. I'd rather not use the old saying that you get what you pay for but the crew that performed the job needs quite a bit of refinement. Their attention to detail was not the greatest and the craftsmanship was lacking. More time could have been spent on prepping the baseboards which would have prevented them from having to come back and redoing a portion of the job. Quite a few nail holes were not properly filled and sanded. A few chips in the baseboard were not properly filled and sanded before painting. From a craftsmanship perspective, the team could have done a better job of cutting in the caulk line which would have prevented bleeding onto the wall. There were drips of paint and uneven brush strokes which should have been caught during the second coat application. The post clean up could have been better. I spent a lot of time wiping and scraping up paint lines from the tape that was used on my brand-new floors. As I mentioned previously, Kip did have the team come back and spend three hours touching up. He also checked on the crew throughout the day, so I think Kip did a good job of following up but the crew he used was subpar at best.

We had some water damage to the ceiling & walls in a couple of rooms a few years back. 21st Century responded quickly and did the job quickly and well, replacing paneling with sheet rock, replacing previously popcorn ceilings with new ceilings, painting everything, and replacing some rotting joists on the patio cover where water had eroded things. They sealed the flashing with some better compound that was supposed to be significantly better than standard roofing mastic. They even let me get in there during a break in construction to run some low-voltage speaker wiring through the joists for our surround sound system. The only negatives: (1) The ceiling fan was working very strangely after the work was done. I finally took it down and found that it was completely miswired on reinstall. I rewired it and all was well. (2) Just over a year later in a major rainstorm, we had some leaking near the ceiling on the same wall where things had been sealed the previous year. For the second point above, I consulted our documentation and found that the sealant was only warranted for 6 months, so I called expecting the worst, but 21st Century took care of us without hesitation. They said they agreed that 6 months was short and they had recently extended it to a year, but even at that my work should have held up and they would come fix it at no charge even though I was over a year. They came and quickly did the work. While the guy was on the roof, I asked if he'd toss down the bricks and tarp that I'd used to cover the leak, and he agreed. I came home later after the work was done to find out that not only had he done so, he had neatly folded the tarp and stacked the bricks! This is a small thing, of course, but it was a courtesy that I wouldn't have expected. The repair seems to have been solid, as we've had a few good rains since with no issue. Summary: (1) Very willing to work with me to get exactly what I wanted, even when it took me a while to figure out exactly what that was (2) Resulting work was great (sans the electrical glitch) (3) Amazing service after the sale! I would recommend these guys for your roof/paint/sheetrock needs.
