Starting from the top with Lou and Patrick, to Katy the office manager and then to the crew who did our house, Jr, Tacillio and Charles. Our experience was great with these guys. Lou and Patrick spent a lot of time with us going over every detail of what we wanted to do and even stayed once it got dark to give us a printed quote right then and there. We were then passed on to Katy. Katy was on top of everything and granted we had trouble with the weather which delayed our project for a week or so but she was always in contact so we knew we were all set. Then impressively the guys showed up ( on a Saturday) and logged almost a 14 hour day to do as much as they possibly could in one day. They then showed up the next work day ( Monday) and finished the house. This was a complete exterior project including changing the house color, staining our fresh new deck and all of the trim/ Windows and bulkhead. I was very impressed with all of the people involved and they will get repeat business from us ( the price was not only right but the quality of work was great).

This was the second time CertaPro has painted the exterior of our house and once again, they did a fantastic job. In addition to the painting we also had some carpentry work done to replace rotted trim. The crew did an excellent job with the woodwork and our house now looks brand new! Our crew was professional, efficient, and respectful of our property. A few years ago, we had CertaPro paint our kitchen cabinets. We get so many compliments on their work. Had them out to paint the outside of my Colonial home. Price wasn't the lowest one I got, but it wasn't the highest one either. They showed up on time and handled all of the details that I had asked for when they did the quote. I was surprised they remembered them all because I had quite a few touch ups that needed handling in small areas around the place. I was very pleased with the attention to detail that was outlined in the job proposal. Scheduling was handled efficiently by the office and the time estimate for the job accurate. I had both exterior and interior painting done and the preparation and quality of the painting was excellent! Although the onsite painters were not fluent in English we were able to easily communicate through another party so that the work and unexpected situations (rotted wood) were resolved quickly. We were very pleased with the job that CertaPro did on the exterior of our home. They made it very "easy to do business with" from the time I first called them to the time they completed the project. Patrick Lehey came out the next day and went over all the details and quoted us a fair price. I then contacted Katy Argenzio and she promptly schedule the work to be done within the next week. The crew that showed up was supervised by Elvin Vasquez. Elvin and his team paid much attention to details and was very attentive to all our needs. I highly recommend Elvin and his team. They arrived every morning at 8:00 and cleaned up at the end of each day. They have a high skill level when it comes to painting details. I got three quotes and they were not the least expensive, but not the most expensive either...and they were well worth it...if you value your time, you have to call CertaPro Painters Boston/South Shore because they will value it too. We did work on the outside, and we will be calling them for work on the inside for sure. If possible, try to get Lou as his attention to details is really impressive. Hard to believe all the 5-star reviews... For every good one, there are probably 2 horrendous reviews you'll never see. They painted my house and sprayed 2 coats in a matter of hours and now it peeled. I wasn't told they would be spraying and expected hand painting, but my fault for not knowing or asking. What I thought was a fair price initially turned out to be a rip off. An expected 5-day job turned into a 3-day job. The crew didn't speak any English and when I asked the office whether these people all over my house have been background checked, I'm told no, they are sub-contractors and that is not their responsibility. Nice answer! I wouldn't hire a franchise to paint my house ever again. Another painter told me these workers move around a lot for money because they are only paid minimum wage and the franchise keeps the rest. Do yourself a favor and find an independent local painter that won't just scrape and sand a few spots and then spray on some paint so they can rush to the next job. I learned my lesson.

Prompt service, east to do business with, and fair pricing. From start to finish, the time involved was less than 30 days and it is a big house which required some carpentry work, which they did all at the same time. Other people I called never even had the courtesy to call me back.

The 2 man crew came mid afternoon to evaluate the job. We had the paint from last year and the stain for the deck all ready for them. They took one look and said "let's do this now" with confidence they could complete the job in the remainder of day. They grabbed their ladders and went to work. A few hours later they were done!!! Right from the start, CertaPro's attention to detail was evident in their listening and then detailing the proposal. As a retired accountant, this was a real plus. Their pricing was in line or better than other quotes. My home was not painted outside for about 10 years and inside we were anxious to remove wallpaper. They provided a interior design person to make sure we would like the colors we chose. Over a three day period, CertaPro had two crews, one inside and one outside. Their attention to detail and customer satisfaction was very good. They did all the things they said they would do and we are very pleased with the end results.

**Not reviewing them as a business but as an employer. Commercial sales ONLY** Unless your applying in the third quarter, the amount of time you’ll receive training is minimal, at best. Residential sales is much better for someone who’s absolutely green to the industry. If your new, don’t start in commercial sales. Period. Most of their team are truly amazing people to work with, save for one rotten egg but you get that everywhere. Honestly their inside folks are top notch. Benefits are EXTREMELY high unless your single with no children. Pay is on the very low end of the scale(look up company is Glassdoor it’s a common practice among franchisees). Lastly the commission structure is very watered down. You make a small % off total dollars LEFT OVER: So after the painters get their cut(roughly 50% of the job) etc etc etc. Don’t get me wrong you can make good money but it’s, again, watered down significantly. Needs to be restructured. Quite frankly if your in the commercial sales arena, seek life elsewhere! It’s not a “bad” position however you need to be able to pull in business like yesterday. The other commercial rep will not help you, he’s always “too busy” but he will ask you to run his appointments and “compare” your quotes. Mostly because he’s extremely lazy and just wants everyone else to do his work for him. I hope this paints a clear picture to the culture and kind of operation the owners of the “Boston” South Shore CertaPro Painter owners have bread.
