Severe mixed emotions about this project. We felt our quote was priced very reasonably and based on the online reviews we felt good about doing business. Our project was subcontracted out (regardless of what the website says about subcontracting) and the paint job was top notch. Correspondence with the company was almost non-existent however. The first email we got after making a 50% down payment was a form email telling us "don't contact the owner...only contact the support team" email...and the instructions on How To do that. After that, the balance of communication was email billing. I left a couple of messages on the answering service about a final walk through but was never contacted back. There were two unannounced visits from the company to take some "before" pictures. Additionally, the subcontractors and the company are now in a disagreement over the number of hours quoted and payment for the project. All of this has me in a position of loving the paint job but being put off by the experience.

Horrible company. By the way, they subcontract every single job. They don’t pay their subcontractors. They underbid jobs so subs wouldn’t make any money anyway. Lazy people who don’t answer the phone for customers OR subcontractors. Do yourself a favor and hire a company that has integrity instead of these clowns. Every time someone complains, they pass the buck and don’t accept responsibility for anything. If you don’t believe me, read the reviews they get for yourself and see how people complain about how terrible their communication is. Steer clear of this place.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. I was contracted to work for them and it was a disaster from the start. They claim they don't use subcontractors on their website but that's a lie. I recieved some nasty voicemails from a customer because Tanya had relayed information that I never said. Between the text messages that I recieved from Preston did not match up what with Tanya would say. I never recieved my payment for my service and was told by Tanya if I would write a review she would put a bad name out on me. I have been doing this kind of business for several years so good luck spreading those lies. When a customer is contacting the subcontractor you hired and telling that person that they rather talk to you than the company because of the poor communication they were receiving that is concerning. Even when I went to pick up paint for this company I recieved some nasty comments and jokes about the company. I defended them but I know realize those comments were accurate. They did not do a background check on me or even see If I was qualified for the job. They never even wanted me to provided proof of liabality insurance. They offered me $1200 for a job and claimed it was a 50/50 pay. For 7 plus rooms I have no idea why they bidded that low. Probably because all they to do is the paperwork and they get paid like that. I didnt even get to finish the job because of them. They don't have to do any physical labor. When I questioned when I would be getting paid, Preston gave me a document that was dated at least 3 months ago. I was going off that document and he claimed "that was when we used employees but now that we only use subcontractors we pay differently". If that is the case then why send me a document that isn't current? They are very disorganized inside and out. I have no idea why they are still in business. If you want to be paid poorly, disrespected, threatened, miscommunicated and lied to then this company is for you to work for. If you want to hire these people to do work and wonder if they will contact you in a timely manner, or act unprofessional then this company is for you too. ONCE AGAIN, STAY AWAY. ***UPDATE*** I don't really believe you are sorry. If you were supposedly sorry then you wouldn't have constantly threaten me via email. Now I do have to laugh about the communication part. Are you counting yourselves in that one? We both know your company is horrible at communication. Look at your other reviews. I am not the only person who has had a bad experience with this company whether it is a customer or not. In regards to being on time for projects, I agree with that. You know between the customer and I. We made arrangements of when I should be there. Oh that's right you wouldn't know any of that because the customer didn't want to talk to you given your communication skills and professionalism. Given the way how snotty that response was I am going to take an educated guess that was Tanya. She was always snotty over the phone and email. YET AGAIN, STAY AWAY FROM THIS HORRIBLE COMPANY.

Ryan was super quick with our estimate and the simple online form to accept the estimate and move forward was awesome! Ryan and his team did an exceptional job on two projects I needed done on my home. First, they gave my front porch a much needed face lift. Sanded, power washed and restained. The finished result looks amazing. Second, I needed my gutters cleaned. The first time since owning my home (11 years) and who knows the last time it was done before I bought it! Ryan’s coworker Kevin cleaned out around a five gallon sized bucket full of dirt from my gutters. Needless to say, I’ll be having them done more frequently. Both jobs were completed in no time at all. Communication between myself and Amato Painting went smoothly and their response was above and beyond! I wasn’t going to write a bad review online but after living in our house for a while and looking at this paint job every day, I need to. Absolutely in shock with the horrible job that was done in our home. We got every room painted and chose Amato painting because of their reviews and awards. There is paint everywhere imaginable in our house...molding, carpets , bathroom floors, wood floors, appliances, cabinets, window sills, and more. They scuffed our wood floors and didn’t cover the floors properly leaving me to scrub paint for hours. Yes there was a “final walkthrough” but that happened after the truck was packed and with the guys who did the terrible job in the first place. It was unprofessional from the start With the first day consisting of a 2.5 hour late start time because the guys left the paint in the truck and drove off! I honestly don’t know how they have the reviews they do... apparently they only care about big business jobs. I took pictures and sent it to the owner but nothing was done. Thank you for ruining our brand new home! I would not recommend them to anyone.

While waiting to find a reputable contractor to put the fence back up, Ryan stayed in contact with me continuously. He was extremely professional and patient. He was up-front and honest throughout the process, letting me know when it would be appropriate to begin the painting process (once the temperatures were consistently warm enough) and arrived on-time and as anticipated every time. He and his group were accepting of our 100-lb pitbull, which some may have been fearful of (our pup is nothing to fear, btw). He has done painting for friends and family and they have expressed similar satisfaction. This is the first time to I contract a painting service but having difficulty in paper removal it was a much bigger chore then expected so we call in the Professionals, Amato Painting. Excellent job well done. Everyone from the initial contact with the estimator Kyle Eads to the crew-chief Brendan and of course the painter Doug. Brendan and Doug did a fantastic job with the preparation of the wall taking very meticulous care during repair of the damaged sheet rock (I created when removing the paper) and then painted the three rooms making them look as new as when we built the house. The final inspection was competed with quality in mined with both Brendan and Doug making sure it was perfect. I would recommend anyone considering having the need for painting organization that is dedicated to customer satisfaction they should defiantly look at Amoto Painting.

Several issues with this company everything from the paint job performed to the way their mgmt. handled it. Even when I contacted the owner, Ryan, he said he doesn't deal with operational issues and asked me to try to resolve with the salesman after talking to two different operational managers. They said that the painting didn't meet my expectations but I think it would not meet anyone's expectations. The dining room, kitchen, family room, upstairs and downstairs hallways were painted. Most lines where the wall and trim meet are not straight, the paint in any of the 90 degree angles does not go all the way to the corner, there is ceiling paint on the crown molding, several areas that they missed painting all together, there is paint spatter on my hardwood floor and stairs, wall paint on the white trim, many layers of paint on quite a bit of trim when my house is only about 2 years old, paint drippings on walls and trim that was not cleaned up and now is dried on. They also removed all leftover paint from my home which I was charged for. The list is quite extensive. After three different painters were in my home, they are now asking to send a fourth to try to resolve and they expect full payment. The poor quality I received is noticed on nearly every wall in every room they painted. Not a company that I would recommend doing business with. **edited in response to owner-there was actually no response to the detailed email that was sent. I tried contacting via phone (left a message), email (with details), Facebook and finally LinkedIn which only allows limited commentary. Ryan’s response regarding his unwillingness to get involved in a client’s concerns was via LinkedIn and after his response and my request to reconsider he blocked me on LinkedIn. Even if they fix the extremely poor quality job performed, I would still never recommend this company especially due to the owner’s poor customer service. No further commentary will be added as I’ve added pictures which will speak far more clearly then I could articulate. The pictures are just samples of what my entire house looks like.

I wish I could be one of the lucky ones that is able to give a 5 star review. Unfortunately my experience was beyond horrible!! What started out as just painting my kitchen cabinets, turned into having to repair my hardwood floor due to paint on it in spots and the finish pulled off from their taping job in other spots. They got paint on my porous stone backsplash. Whatever tape they used pulled the paint off my walls. And after all this it’s not like my cabinets looked amazing and made up for the mess they created. Nope, they looked so bad!!! They were bumpy and “orange peel” looking. Some of the cabinet doors only had one coat of paint and you could see right through it. I was devasted to say the least. When I called to talk about getting this fixed the communication was awful. The “answering service” would tell me someone would call in the next 12-24 hours but after not getting calls back I would have to call again to follow up. I was so frustrated and asked to talk to Ryan, the owner of this company. Never did I get a response from him. Kyle Eades who was the sales representative was initially very responsive but even he was impossible to get a response back from after all this. They offered to power wash for me because of the horrible job they did. I agreed which was a huge mistake because although I specified “just do the siding”. They did everything, including my windows- with the screens still on- that I had had professionally cleaned only a few months prior. They also did my front patio and dislodged some of the cement and it was all over my garden. When I questioned Kyle about it he assured me the guy only did the siding. When I got in touch with the guy who did the power washing he told me “Kyle told me to do everything”. I have no idea how this company is getting all these great reviews (although some of the names I recognize as being employees of the company- surprise, surprise). I just want to tell my story so someone doesn’t end up like me with more costs of repairs due to the damage Ryan Amato Painting caused than the actual cost to paint my cabinets (which still look horrible).

Do yourself a favor and DO NOT HIRE Ryan Amato Painting. I contacted them to restain my deck at the end of April 2019. They explained they schedule out a week in advance and would be contacting us when our job was up. This is where the communication broke down. We went close to a month with very little contact from Ryan Amato Painting. The next break down in communication occurred when an employee showed up at our house midday to clean and prepare our deck without any warning. We had not been informed someone would be coming to work on our deck, therefore our deck furniture, grill, and various pots were still out on the deck. Not being home the worker was forced to move everything the best he could leaving marks and dirty spots on the deck. The following week I received another a call midday while at work from an employee who wanted to stain my deck that day. Unable to get home from work (and already waiting close to 3 months to have our job completed) we agreed to the next day. We were promised in past conversations that Ryan was personally going to stain our deck and glorified the situation. (to basically quiet us) That day the male that showed up was not Ryan, was not aware exactly what he was to perform on my deck, had to walk through my house because DID NOT HAVE A LADDER TO COMPLETE the job! I was told he would have to come back another day and finish or lean over the rails to paint! Wanting the project done and not wanting him to do a bad job by “leaning” I gave the man a ladder to finish my project. So he showed up unprepared and uninformed of what he needed to complete the job. At this point, I was extremely upset with the lack of communication and surprise visits to complete this job. I left a voice mail and emailed my complaints about the job. Again I hear nothing back from anyone at Ryan Amato Painting, except for an invoice. So they ignored my issues and just sent my bill with NO attempt to explain the situation or offer an apology. The lack of communication is absolutely astounding. Very unprofessional company and I am now left feeling robbed and disappointed this ended the way it did. Go with anyone else for your project and save yourself the stress.

Other quotes were 4 to 5 days for this project they finished it in 3 days and I was very impressed with the quality of their work. I would highly recommend Ryan amato painting and definitely hire them again.

Did interior and exterior painting for me. It was a really big job that took three times as long as the estimate and a lesser crew might have cut corners to finish sooner but not these guys. We hired Ryan Amato painting to paint the entire interior of our house. It included living room, dining room, kitchen, family room, office, 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. We're talking 10 different colors and white crown molding and trim! They did an amazing job! They are an extremely professional team - they work super fast - always neat and clean and never disruptive to the life going on in the house! They always arrived on time and got the job done sooner than expected. We would highly recommend Ryan Amato Painting for any job. In fact, we've already had them back to paint a bedroom a different color (my son changed his mind...lol)!!!! If we ever finish our basement - we'll ask them back again. I can not for the life of me comprehend how these people are even in business. Never mind the rating they have. If I could I'd give them -5 stars. Twice they cancelled on us and it was only established when I had to repeatedly call and leave messages. Otherwise I doubt we'd have been made aware until the day came and time passed. The first explanation we received was that it was raining. Well, we're a residence. We do live inside. The next cancellation we were told it was due to being backed up on a commercial site. And that 4 employees had called out that day. It is painfully obvious they care more about their larger projects over the smaller, residential projects. And they are not cheap. My biggest regret was giving them second and third chances. I was soo close to cancelling and getting a refund. But after apologies galore and promises made by the Project Mngr. Bill, I foolishly allowed it to go through. Mostly because it was nearing Thanksgiving and we were having guests over. He insisted it'd be completed by the Wed. prior. Which it was, but not without incidents. The first day two workers showed up. One left approximately after an hour tops and was never seen again. Leaving one painter to complete the job over the next 2 days. They never sent him help. He had to wait for other workers to bring him supplies he needed. Including ladders to reach the top of the walls in our hallway entrance. I had to loan him my own extension pole to reach up to the cut-in points. Otherwise it would've taken even longer. Then the next day two other guys show up with a ladder. They helped him remove painters tape from the upstairs walls. I asked why they were doing that when we're supposed to get 2 coats. Per the contract, and common sense. I had to call the office. And then wait over an hour for the Project Mngr. to text the one worker we had to relay information to us. When I was told he'd call me back directly. Seemingly ignoring and dodging me for some unknown reason. After all of their screw ups you'd think they'd be going out of their way to satisfy a customer. In reality we apparently were just an inconvenience to them that was a quick paycheck to fund their future commercial jobs which obviously take precedence. Why any business would take on a job they knew they couldn't do correctly & would continually cancel appointments on is beyond me. The only reason I did not do the project myself was due to recovering from carpal tunnel surgery. I truly regret not canceling them. Then came the ceilings. Again the one worker whom I feel extremely bad for was left alone. Again he had to use my supplies, wait for a ladder, and more paint. I ended up helping him hang plastic and prime parts of the ceiling I had patched previous due to a water leak. To ensure the job would get done. And because I felt bad for the single worker who had to do it on his own. He did a great job. And considering the circumstances I wouldn't be surprised if he's quit by now. My 5 & 6 year olds could run a business more effectively. I also just noticed spots where the old paint was missed. Under stair railings. That was the guy that disappeared. This may seem like a long rant. In fact it is. But it's in order to warn anyone considering them. I assume someone from there will read this. If so and you plan on responding don't waste your time like you did ours. There's no explanations, a.k.a. excuses that could be used effectively. I feel like I was strongarmed. It kills me to have to pay these people a dollar. Never mind $1,800! If it were up to me I'd only pay the worker Antonio who did the job by himself. If I had not helped on my own accord it'd still be unfinished. This company is inept, unprepared, and unreliable. I keep waiting for someone to tell me It was a prank. They do not communicate. You have to phone hunt them down. I cannot honestly list one positive except for the fact that the experience is over.
