Their work is awesome and I could not be more pleased with the results! They also painted our shutters, which also look amazing. My wife and I selected Prim Painting based on the excellent online reviews. Much like similar reviews posted to Amazon, it should be clear that Prim Painting ordinarily offers a -$20 discount for writing a Google review, so there may be some bias in review writers. Still, they did a good job. We had 5-6 rooms painted in a home we just bought, which was built in 1970. They did the work initially in two days, but I had them come back to fix problems not initially corrected, making the work extend to a third day. The cost was roughly $2600 dollars, making the average over $400 dollars a room. (However, we have crown molding and also wanted the ceilings painted with a fresh white coat, adding to the cost.) Throughout the house, there was wall unevenness from rough wall patching done before we moved in. For that reason, I was very concerned about getting good wall prep before painting so that the surfaces would seem crisp and fresh rather than merely painted over, and communicated that to Nathan during the estimate. On this, they did a fair to good job. In some rooms, particularly a bathroom, the surface was mottled all over and probably needed much more extensive skim coating to make it crisp. It would have been nice to have that communicated beforehand by Nathan during the estimate, since I may not have opted to get that wall painted at all, so that I could first hire someone to do the more extensive work of skim coating before adding fresh paint. He had only communicated that this should be no problem. His crew did a decent job in that room, but had to come back a second time after the work was done because there were a fair number of small holes and other wall problems that were not taken care of well the first time. That surface seemed much better after someone came back, but still has a fair amount of mottling (they think it was from wallpaper removal from a former owner). In the rest of the house, there were less extensive wall problems to begin with, but I did notice a fair number of paint drips from a former, sloppier paint job that were not sanded down first before the job was done. Overall, I think they did a good job, but it would have been nice to have a greater level of detailed communication about what to expect from his crew on wall prep so that I had realistic expectations, and could make judgments on what to paint based on that. One other small problem had been a miscommunication about whether closets would be painted in the master bed/bath. Initially one was painted "by accident", but we were told that this was an extra cost to paint the second -- even though nothing about an added cost was explained to us in the initial estimate (I had thought closets were part of the overall room cost). Nathan was quick to accommodate the complaints about the bathroom wall issues and the closet not being painted, so that in the end the second closet was painted for free when someone came back to do the repair work in the bathroom (mentioned above).

Nathan from Prim Painting did an excellent job of getting us a quote just based on us sending him pictures of our bedroom. Once we received the quote, my wife and I both missed the fifth sentence on the first page, which stated “Descriptions below address items listed above. Not all descriptions below apply to every job. If the surface is listed above, then the description below applies, unless specified above.” Please make sure all the work that you would like them to do shows in the “Service/Product, Description and Total” area. As I said, both my wife and I missed this statement and thought we would have the ceiling painted, some patchwork done and the trim painted as well. This is not a reflection of their work; Prim Painting did an excellent job and did exactly what was on the quote. After speaking to Nathan about adding a small closet to the quote, he quickly got back to me and even though we initially disagreed on the price, he told me “’l’ll make it work” and he did. As for the quality and the professionalism, no question it was top notch. Nathan and his crew painted on Friday while we were at work and did not leave a trace that they were even in our home. It is nice to see that some companies still clean up after themselves and leave only footprints. We will definitely use them again as I thought they were great. We did have another quote that was the same price, but it included the ceiling and since I thought I was going to receive everything I stated above from Prim, we decided to go with them instead. I believe his prices are a little high, so it does pay to get a couple of quotes.

Had what I thought was a roof leak for years. Replaced the roof, it still leaked. Figured out is was the siding. Got the siding fixed and called Prim to paint all the ceilings on the first floor of my home. They were in-and-out in about 3.5 hours. This is a job that would have taken me a week of evenings or an entire weekend. Plus I wouldn't have been able to move my neck for a month. We recently had Prim paint our kitchen cabinets and could not be happier with the outcome so far! We booked them in October and had to wait about six weeks after booking based on our project. The crew painted and took all of our doors to be painted in one day. When they had finished painting, the kitchen was cleaner than when they arrived. I love that they take the cabinet doors to be painted and cured off site for both quality and the fact that the cabinet doors were not at our house for those days. Day of install was also very seamless. Quality seems great so far. Very well done and a worthy investment!

Nathan was very helpful in working around scheduling conflicts and responding quickly via email. The initial estimate was quick and I received it the next day via email. I was given an estimate from another company that was recommended by a friend and the estimate from Prim was nearly $600 less, using the same paint and time to complete the project. I was told to expect the painters between 8 and 9am and they were there promptly at 8. They went through and confirmed paint colors and project scope and then went and purchased paint. The painters were there all day until about 6:30pm and then the next day from 9am to 3pm. The previous homeowner left tons of paint bubbles and debris when they painted before. The crew went through and scraped, patched, and sanded nearly everything. The end result looks great! I didn't have baseboards or trim up, so they said to let them know if there were any problems after I get them up and they'd come out and fix them.

The initial coat improved the look of the pillars 100%, but the painter wasn't satisfied with the results and voluntarily went back to the store to get more paint to add a second coat. Scheduling the service was easy and fast. They did a great job and I'm very happy with the results. I would recommend this vendor.

We had some decent sized cracks in the drywall from foundation movement/weather changes and he was very careful to patch and smooth the whole thing (about 4ft long crack) before doing any other work. Very professional painting crew. The three members of the crew that painted my inside (which I have wanted to do for a long time) were well-worth the wait. They arrived promptly at 9 am both days and communicated with me all through both days. Their work was excellent. I love to paint, and the only reason I didn’t do this job myself was because of my cathedral ceilings. I had two colors on the walls (accent walls) and the corners where the color changed on the walls were nothing less than professional. Very crisp, very sharp. I love my great room, entry way, up the steps and down the 2nd floor hallway. Recommend Prim painting without hesitation. The office was very thorough communicating to me via email about any bumps in the road before they might have occurred. (Due to color choice, a 3rd coat might be necessary, which I was informed of this up front...it would have been an additional charge, of course, but the office was clear about this potential before the first drop of paint went on the walls. Ultimately, a 3rd coat wasn’t necessary.)

Wow, is all I can say. I see by all the 5 star reviews they do great. Maybe my job was to small...kdk? 848 sq ft House. Want living room, dining room, and maybe kictchen done. This is floor space 159, 126, and 36. Sq ft with Windows and doors....living room runs right into dinning making 6 walls with 5 window in dining and living room with fire place. Told me 6k to paint and 2.5 to paint cabinets in kitchen...5 total cabnets...3 on top and 2 on bottom. My roof was 5k, with able, bath was 5.8 k with all new and tub...no cover but new tub....all plus floor and mostly paint., wood floors 1190$.... Paint should be a max of .75 cents wall space and not 12 plus $$. Ic with your review you do well. Sorry my job was to small
