Mike's prices are very competitive and the quality of the work has been uniformly outstanding. He is courteous, responsive, trustworthy (I trust him with my house key) and he cleans up thoroughly after the job. I recently bought a new home and plan to use Mike for repainting the exterior. He proposed a way to save me money and do more than I had requested - that's great service.

We contracted J&M Commercial Painting to complete extensive interior and exterior repairs and painting, to help us prepare our home for sale. This work required a significant amount of painstaking detail work, which required skilled, meticulous painters. In all areas, the work far exceeded my expectations. I have worked extensively with contractors in Southeast Ohio over the past 10 years, and have generally had terrible experiences. They are largely unprofessional, they don’t finish the job on time (or they don’t finish it at all), they aren’t conscientious, they don’t communicate with you, they often try to overcharge and in general they have left me with a bad impression of contractors. Mike and Camilla Butcher showed me that there are still contactors out there who are professional, honest, conscientious and truly care about getting the job done right. Mike promptly offered a reasonably-priced bid, had a crew out within days, checked in with me everyday to make sure I was OK with the work that was being done, and promptly resolved any issues that I identified. His foreman, John, and his crew were courteous, hard working and highly skilled. They showed up on time and got the job done right the first time. As a former business owner and a current business professor, I have a pretty good grasp of what professionalism looks like, and J&M epitomizes it. I couldn’t be more pleased with the work and the experience I had dealing with this company. If you want the job done right…no hassles…no typical contractor B.S., call Mike and Camilla. They made our home look better than it did when it was new, and they treated us right in the process.

J & M Commercial Painters painted all rooms, except for one bedroom, in our home in Athens. They prepped the wall by plastering and sanding over all cracks and irregularities, caulked along the baseboards, primed, and painted the walls, including a front entryway, large pantry/closet/ kitchen, two bathrooms, stairway, upstairs hall, two bedrooms, living room, and dining room. All work agreed on was done. They were meticulous and neat, with all evidence of work cleaned up, including the plaster dust, equipment, trash, etc. Mike Butcher, the owner, was very responsive and prompt with e-mails, texts, and all necessary communication. The quality of the work is excellent. The old house seems like it has new walls! We also really appreciate J & M waiting as long as we needed in order for our contractor to finish with renovations and repairs before the painting process. But, as soon as possible, the painting began and was completed in five short days. We are very pleased with every aspect of J & M Commercial Painters’ work.
