CertaPro did an excellent job painting the outside of our home. They arrived on time, worked hard during the day and cleaned up before they left for the evening. Our job was completed on schedule and team leader Shellie kept us informed of their progress.

We had the outside of our home painted by CertaPro several weeks ago and our experience was outstanding. Karl worked with us to make sure every detail was outlined in our quote and Tommie was the lead on the painting of the project. All work was done well and we are so pleased with the final product. We were pleased with the daily cleanup and the way we were kept updated on progress. I would recommend CertaPro to anyone who needs painting done, and will definitely use them in the future!

I am very happy with the work I received from CertaPro. I did due diligence when choosing the house painters/power washers and received my 3 quotes from 3 contractors. CertaPro was not the lowest or the highest, but right in the middle, cost-wise. However, their professionalism, detailed quote and previous reviews convinced me they were the way to go. CertaPro Painters of Akron has done a lot of painting throughout my house over the past 12 years. They always do an excellent job. Chad was the lead painter on my most recent project, and he worked hard and he worked fast! He was thorough and was as picky as I am with the finished product. He went above and beyond on a couple concerns I had with colors. Lori, the office manager, just might be the nicest person ever. What a pleasure it was dealing with her! Karl was my sales associate, and he was very thorough documenting every little project I wanted done. I was also impressed that Doug, the owner, did a walk-through with me and Chad on the first day of the project. Every person I dealt with was nice and professional, but most importantly, I am very happy with all the painting they have done at my house.

Our project with CertaPro Painters of Akron (located in Hudson), in August of 2019, was an extremely frustrating and stressful experience. The scope of the project was wallpaper removal, wall prep, and painting of 6 interior rooms, hallway and stairwell. The owner, Doug Bowser, has issues with staffing, scheduling, training, quality, and communication. These issues caused our two-week long project to take seven weeks to be completed, and the quality of work to be unsatisfactory. They did not have enough quality staff to do the necessary drywall work, resulting in both delays and poor work quality. Work estimates were very unrealistic. Every time a deadline for some aspect of the job was promised, they failed in their ability to accomplish it. Due to the issues with staffing and scheduling, we had at least twelve different workers involved in some aspect of the project. They had obviously not all been trained to meet the quality expectations set forth on their website and in their sales process. We still have inconsistent texture on our walls and paint where it does not belong, such as on oak woodwork and on flooring. However, the most troubling aspect of the whole process was the poor customer service and lack of communication by the owner. When issues arose on more than one occasion, Doug chose to stop communicating with us. He tried whenever possible to have other staff intervene. At one point, after numerous phone call attempts and emails, we were preparing a certified letter in an effort to find out if our job was even going to be finished. If you are hoping for an experience where the customer is valued, I would strongly recommend not doing business with Doug Bowser.

The work in my home was performed in August of 2018. Since I continue to get spam emails from CertaPro reminding me of my experience; I decided to create my review. Initially the main part of the painting was complete in the allocated timeframe. However, there were several areas where the paint was missed, or a second coat was needed. Additionally, blankets were not put on the floors to project the flooring I just installed from paint splatters. As a result of not doing this, there was paint on my new hardwood flooring. After the first visit there was no follow-up for a week. The inquiry was how did everything look. I was hoping this was a call telling me when the work was going to be finished. However, it was more of a phone QA check to verify their work. This isn't my job to do your QA checks. I hired CertaPro to do this for me and to follow-up with their workers. Regardless, I relayed my concerns with the quality of work and the issues I observed. He said he could resend out the workers in another week to see what else needed to be done. This whole scope of work was a timing issue for me. I had things that required moved in and getting the project done in a time frame was imperative. It was agreed it would be done in the time allocated. Needless to say, the commitment could not be upheld, and I had to complete the work myself. However, I was still sent a bill with you expecting full payment without completing your full scope of work. I did pay it and took this as a learning opportunity as how I should proceed with future painting projects. Unfortunately, this will not include CertaPro!
