We originally hired Chuck Jenkins and Able Painting in 2010 to paint the exterior of our house. His quote was in the middle price range of those we received. He was true to his word and showed up when he said he would. He kept us informed of any repairs that needed to be done before he painted. The work he and his crew did was very professional. We now rent the house out. Chuck and Able Painting are the only painters I call when the house needs to be painted. He has repainted our deck and just completed painted several interior rooms. He starts the job when he says he will and finishes when he says he will. And he does a fabulous job!

I've done business with Able a few times over the years and have always had a great experience. They are professional, fast, and very reasonably priced. I just moved into a condo that needed painting and updating. Not only did they do a great job with the paint, but they were able to do wood trim repairs, replace doors, change my locks, and much to my pleasant surprise re do my bathroom! Their prices were so reasonable I was able to replace my kitchen counters, sink and dishwasher. I spent much less then I thought I would have to, and they got everything done a week faster then I was told by other contractors. They can do it all and for less, and it was so nice to just have one company that I can trust to work with. I wanted to share because I'm thrilled with he outcome! They do excellent work and helped me save a ton of $$$

Paid this low life $1000 ($2500 total) down to paint the exterior of my house. Showed up a week later and power washed all the old paint off and never came back. Took him to court and he never showed. There is an outstanding judgement against him in local courts.

Dixie Drive-In

Able Custom Painting was hired to paint both of the outdoor screens at the Dixie Twin Drive-In Movie Theatre. Their price was the best out of 3 bids and very reasonable for such a large and unusual job. We also hired them to repaint and repair our huge marquee. They have always done an excellent job for us and are now our "go to" painting team!

Chuck and Able did a great job painting my barn recently as well as replacing (2) very large wooden doors that roll to seal off the barn. The work was done under the terms of our agreement and I was happy to pay Chuck and Able in full when the work was complete. It was quality work at a fantastic value, doesn't get better than that. Chuck is the WORST contractor I ever hired. He lies. On Day 16 of a 5 day job I fired him. He is a complete and total bull S***er. Don’t even consider him. In fact, if he offered to do your work for free, it still would not be worth it! And only gave him one star because this app would not let me give him negative stars. PS. Change name of company to UNable!

I have taken a day of work to stay at home for a one day job that was prescheduled, but Able Custom Painting team didn’t show up as planned. I have called the guy who showed up to do the etimate and collect the deposit (Jack Roach), he promised that someone will call me back, no one did for a while, but eventually someone called and said that he is having car trouble, and will be there later in the day. He didn’t show up as promised, but called later to say that his partner has fell of the wagon, and his partner has all the tools, he hasn’t seen his partner in two days, he will not be able to pull off this job, and he will be returning my deposit tomorrow (which is today) “ guaranteed”. Not wanting to take the chances, I have called the bank and put the stop on the deposit check. The whole experience was unprofessional and disappointing. What’s even more unprofessional and disappointing is the fact that deposit check was cashed on the day when this company had no intention of even starting my job, and of course no one from Able Custom Painting has made any effort to contact me to return that deposit as promised the following day. I have paid $100 deposit, but originally an effort was made by Jack Roach to obtain as much as 50% deposit, which would have been $450! I am protected by my bank by putting a timely stop on the check, but what business did they have cashing that check on the day when they had no intentions of even starting my job and before discussing delay / cancelation with a customer? Jack Roach has conveniently disappeared and hasn’t returned any of my calls. I am very close to reporting this to local police department as fraud (who knows what other customers of theirs have been in the same situation, i. e. paid a deposit, they took the money, but never performed a job)

Quick service, not so tidy! I hire their services to paint my new house, they were quick but the service was not so tidy; currently I am painting most of the door trims and baseboards because they painted with the wall color the trims. Also, I was told it was a certain price but after they were done they wanted to change the total amount. One thing I did not like was the fact that the guy that came to paint was not the same one who gave me the estimate, as a matter of fact after the estimate I never saw Chuck again nor spoke with him. Also, the painter told me multpile times that he walked all over the house to include the bedrooms in the basement, although they only needed to paint the first floor.--weird. For next time I'll try other companies in the area.

I LOVE that Able's Custom Painting offers painting, cleaning, and steam cleaning floors all in one! I have a property in Ohio that I rent out and all I have to do is call Able's Custom Painting to take care of everything before a new renter moves in if the previous renter chose not to do it. UNABLE TO PAINT SHOULD BE THEIR NAME!!! Hired Able Custom Painting to paint the first floor of my house and they painted all the trims and the baseboards with the wall color. I have been trying to get ahold of the company to have them come back and paint the trims but it has been unsuccesful, I do not reccomend hiring this company, I should've read the BBB reviews before hiring them and I suggest you do the same.

His prices were well below other contractor bids, it was actually him that came out with another painter to do the painting vs contracting others to do it, he was extremely punctual, he provided me feedback on what color scheme would look best, and overall he went well above my expectations.
