Description of Work: Interior Painting on Kitchen, office, Great Room, Hall, master bedroom, master bath, and 1 other bedroom. Also remove popcorn ceiling from master bath, repair and paint ceiling there and in the office and two other bedrooms. Also had baseboards and door frames painted in all rooms painted. One Door painted. We're very happy. Things went quite well. Everything was done over a 4 day period starting on a Monday. The biggest problem was the popcorn ceiling in the bathroom. The ceiling needed some care and attention because of a roof stand pipe leak a few years earlier. But it looks great now. The crew spent most of the first day getting supplies, doing wall prep work like spackling all walls, moving furniture we hadn't moved, and working on the bathroom. The next day they smoothed the spackle, covered furniture, and began painting. I was really impressed by the ceilings they painted. They took great care to cover everything to keep paint off the carpets and furniture. By Wednesday most of the wall painting was complete, and most of the baseboards and frames were done. The rooms where we changed the color got a 2nd coat of paint. They did a great job with the baseboards in the carpeted areas even though I'd told them we planned to replace the carpets soon and not to worry. The crew held off on the master bath until Thursday morning when the ceiling was ready for paint. They worked daily on the bathroom ceiling. It needed multiple stages of repair, usually having to dry between stages. Thursday the SouthEnd crew concentrated on the master bathroom finishing the ceiling, walls, and baseboards. They wrapped up any loose ends and put all the outlet covers and wall switch covers back up. They did a good job with cleanup. I was really impressed, but have to admit that as we moved furniture back and rearranged things, there was still a good bit of cleaning to do that was beyond what I expected of them. They had offered to arrange a cleaning service to come in and detail things. I think I would take them up on that in hindsight. Yasmine and her crew of three really did an nice job. I found one 6 panel door in the office that was missed on the back side. We and they had missed it in the walkaround just because the door was open when we came in the room and it was the only door we'd contracted to have painted. I contacted SouthEnd and Yasmine came by Saturday and painted the door. So it really wasn't a problem. I must admit this is a bigger job that I planned. I didn't realize how disruptive having so much of your house painted at one time could be. The SouthEnd crew was really helpful in ensuring things were put in place so that we had enough rooms that were useable to be able to stay home. And they ensured we could move around. Don't short change the amount of time it will take you to prepare for the painters. My son and I spent the weekend before removing paintings, decorations, shelf items. av equipment, computers. It's unbelievable how much you have to get out of the way for a major paint job. Luckily we had a garage, an addition room, and spare bedroom to fill with the items we moved around. We'll be recovering items and putting things back up for weeks. Also, think about your pets. We had one dog we shuffled around the outside and in various rooms. But surprisingly she seemed to have no problem with the painters. Just needed to be kept out of the way. My last note is related to planning for follow-up work. The painters did a great job. Things are much updated and the baseboard and trim work make things really snap again. But they also highlighted how bad some of our flooring looks. And how much we needed to upgrade faucets, lights, and fixtures in the bathroom. So our to-do list actually grew as a result of a great paint job. Also, because of ceiling and wall color changes, we had to replace blinds in 3 rooms immediately.

Worst company I've ever dealt with. Hired to paint white trim on my brick home. They pressure washed the house and dirty water ran down the windows and they didn't rinse them. White paint is splattered all over the brick and on some of the windows and storm door. The owner, Todd was hard to communicate with.. Another lesson learned the hard way.

They did a very good job with pressure washing and painting our condo complex. The price was reasonable even though it was very difficult to reach some areas. Workers were polite and cleaned up once things were complete. I would use them again and recommend this company!

This company is THE WORST I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH. We hired them to replace several boards and repair our chimney, as well as paint it. Everything seemed fine at first and their inspector seemed like a trustworthy person. They were very easy to work with in the beginning, but right before we were going to pay them, we noticed that where they claimed to have painted they had not. They came back out and painted over what they had done though it was difficult to communicate with the painter as he did not speak english. After somehow conveying what we needed done, they did paint it. However after we paid them, the boards which they replaced separated from the house causing rotting in the siding. After calling them for over 6 months we called and informed them that if they did not want to fix what they had done we were going to go to a local news station. At that point they immediately returned our call and sent out what I presume to be the owner of the company. He arrived in a truck with south carolina plates shouting from the road at me as I happened to be standing in the driveway. Upon arriving he was very adversarial, and claimed that he did not do this, it was not his fault that the work had caused rotting and to emphasize his point, he then broke 5 boards with his hand to show where they rotted. He said he was not responsible since we didn't pay him to replace the entire chimney (which when they were quoting us we specifically asked them what all we needed to replace and what exactly we would need to do, which they ensured us that what they were doing was all that was required). He then said that they would replace it, but that they didn't work for free and that whatever we needed would be charged again at full price. I said, this will not stand and with my knowledge of SEO tactics I would be placing negative reviews all over the web to warn people of what he did, and how they operate. He then said oh so you're threatening me, and stepped within my personal space as though he was about to get in a fight with me, upon me trying to walk away he continued to try to get in my face and intimidate me. He was screaming so loudly that my wife who was on the other side of the house came to the door to see what was happening. My employer who happened to have just arrived then walked over and told him he needed to back away, and change the way he was speaking to me or leave. As he was walking away he continued to raise his voice screaming that my house was just S**** and that he can't help weather. We are in the process of contacting the local news to do a story about their incompetence, but PLEASE FOR YOUR SAKE DON'T HIRE THESE CLOWNS.

Was very happy to work with South End Painters, they did everything they said they would and did it with speed and efficiency. I was surprised how quickly they were able to fit me into their schedule and accommodate my schedule. Easy to communicate and the Team Lead for the project was great and they left the space clean and organized when they left.

Received a Quote to get poles Painted which they did but wanted more money to do the tops. Make sure they Quote the complete jobs. Not a Very Good First and Only time using them.

Great experience..Employees were courteous and job was finished in a timely manor. We had a couple of unexpected hiccups in the job (not due to them) and they were promptly handled with ease and expertise. It has been my experience that commercial work is drawn out and susceptible to nickel-and-diming from the contractor. These guys Todd Cahill in particular were the opposite of that.Well done honest work. Thanks Todd for the stress free experience.

I have used Southend Painting for various projects. Most recently, they stained my deck. As usual, they were very professional and the product looks amazing. I certainly recommend them to anyone. Thanks again Southend

Mathnasium Huntersville

We made arrangements to have this company give an estimate to paint the interior of a home in new construction. Due to the time of day in having to make changes to our reservations & us NOT having access to get in the home for the estimate, an email was sent to the person in charge. 5 hours later we get a phone call from one of their painters who decides to scream his displeasures about driving to the home and then hangs up! Great customer service Sir, I'm glad you were inconsiderate & unwilling to listen to us over the phone & work something out. Instead you wanted to blame us for the lack of communication your company has. Your just another reason why the BBB has an alert to customers about your business.

Southend Painting completed a painting project at my home. I was extremely pleased with final product. I received a fair estimate with a detailed contract explaining the scope of the job. The crew that completed the work was awesome, they completed the job and made sure everything was to my agreement. I highly recommend Southend !!!

We have used this company multiple times to paint a large medical office suite. We have received estimates from many other companies and SouthEnd has always had the best pricing. They have always been professional, thorough and accommodating. We have patients throughout the day and they work around patient appointments as not to inconvenient us or them and have gone as far as to work weekends to accommodate our needs. If anything wasn't to our satisfaction it was fixed immediately with no hassle. I highly recommend them.

I had SouthEnd stain my house as it is made of wood and they did an incredible job. Focus to detail was fantastic and I was surprised by the flexibility. For example, I changed my mind on not painting the foundation but had a few boards needing replaced on my deck that were not in the original quote and the foreman agreed to adjust on the fly and not paint foundation but fix a few boards in exchange! Completed the job on time and on budget. I would have tipped more if I had the funds to! Fantastic job SouthEnd!

Joe H.07/17/2014 The most unprofessional service company I have ever experience. First they did not show up for the first 5 scheduled appointments. Did not even bother to call. When they finally did show up to power wash the townhouse siding, they left the property in complete disarray, did not even bother to remove are belonging from the porches or carport, found screens, door wreaths, seat cushions, and personal belongings literally blown of the deck and front porch and left down on the ground in muddy water. Left garbage and window screens laying in the yard. Left previously locked back gate and storage area door not only unlocked but wide open with bikes and personal property in plain view. The outside furniture they did move they did not even bother to put back where it belonged, left everything covered in soot and dirt that came from the power washing of the brick. Called the owner and he blamed the workers and assured me that they would return the following and clean up and leave restore things how they found it, came back from work the next day, and nothing had been cleaned. Called owner again, owner claimed that he was not paid to clean up decks, porches and car port, (all of which had just been power washed and cleaned days before), he was only paid to power wash brick and repair siding. I could actually go on but I think you get the picture. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE AND MOST UNPROFESSIONAL COMPANY I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH IN 50 yrs.

I contracted with them and it is a totally hands off experience. They send subcontractors to you and there is no contact with the company again unless you initiate it. Nobody comes to look at the job the subcontractor did, no calls to ensure that everything went okay, nothing. The second day none of the crew spoke english. Real pain. I would not use them again. I have issues with the job but will have them fixed by another company..

We've used SouthEnd Painting for three jobs that include both exterior work and interior work. They are efficient, easy to work with, show up on time and they do quality work. Their prices are quite fair. I highly recommend them.

Tony Robinson

They did a great job! The drywall looks great and they were not only able to work within the tight timeframe that I needed the work done, they finished a day ahead of schedule. Would definitely recommend them and I plan on employing their services on future projects.

S Hodges

Had a good experience and employees were courteous and on time. We had the exterior trim painted and our porch rails. They did a great job and were neat and efficient.

Clark Kearns

Very Pleased!! I used southend painting on two projects at my home. Very satisfied. They are very professional and easy to work with.

John Mantey

This is a lousy company. Don't ever do business with them. They did the most shotty work on my house, carpentry and painting. They didn't even complete the work in the contract, and then the owner shows up at my house on a Sunday afternoon wanting to get paid. I keep finding hidden problems with the work they did, including not painting new wood under gutters, holes in the wood behind the gutters, and probably a lot more I haven't seen yet. I had to curse out the bastard in my yard, creating a bad scene with the neighbors. Yes, I was definitely in "contractor hell" with these people.

Veronica Dunbar

Over all they did a good job.

Rahul Samant

I got the deck painted and repaired on 10/6/2016. They did a great job, cleaned everything before they leave. Very professional and punctual. Done the job on time. Price was reasonable. I will definitely recommend this company.
