We got a quote from ProGreen in June of this year. My husband & I thought the quote was fair compared to other companies, so we went with them. 1st experience: We needed to have our home painted in a short amount of time, and the crew came through. Overall, we were very pleased with the results. So much so, that I hired them for a 2nd exterior paint job soon after. 2nd experience: This is where things started to get progressively worse. The painter had to come out a total of 3 times to paint/re-paint because the paint started to bubble everywhere (exterior front door - I had photos to provide and sent them to the PM after the 1st coat). The results wound up being OK in the end (still bubbling a little). Because I don't like to be a PIA customer, I kept my frustration to myself/did not provide any original negative review on this, since it was mostly fixed in the end, so I moved on. 3rd and FINAL experience: During the initial paint quote in June, as mentioned above, my husband & I saw that ProGreen does services other than paint, which they market exclusively on their website. We were interested in getting a backsplash installed. For the sake of keeping this review to a "minimum", I will give a generalized overview of my experience here. Let me just start off by saying that the installation was not fully complete until September 24th. We received the original quote on June 15th. Some of the main issues we experienced (over the past 3+ MONTHS!) include: Lack of communication from numerous parties, giving completely false timelines, 1st Contractor cancelled the night before the installation, 2nd Contractor no call/no showed and office staff did not call back when I called and asked what happened (we had to pull the owner into this because this was getting ridiculous), Contractor made a mess out of our kitchen that we spent hours cleaning afterwards, Contractor did something to our electricity because now one part of our wall is not working when you plug things into it, and many more issues in between. We were sent to a showroom so that we could see the backsplash in person prior to purchasing. A few days before, we were sent an e-mail of our "choices". Our "choices" was 1 choice only and that was subway tile in 3 different colors. I was so confused. Per the office staff, this was the only thing available in our budget. We never talked to anyone about budget or what style we wanted - we assumed that was the point of going to the showroom. After we went to the showroom, and picked out the tile we wanted, we needed to get an updated quote. No one ever originally came to measure our kitchen (this company works so backwards), so a member of the staff had to come to measure (by the way, this company also charges their customers for staff members to come by to do basic runs like this - never heard of this before?) ProGreen would not schedule us for the job unless we gave them a $500 deposit up front. In order to give them the money, we made them give us a proper timeline in writing, which ended up not being the timeline at all (took over a month to begin this job after cashing our check the same day it was received over a month prior - go figure). Best part of this all: They added over $700 worth of costs (without forewarning) to the final bill and they expect us to pay this immediately. When my husband requested an individually itemized bill, they did not provide one. If I am expected to pay over $1, 700 for a job, then you should make sure it is a flawless job and this experience was anything but. I am so disgusted with this company. This is not standard business practice. If you were not able to do this job, be transparent. Don't wing it, which is what they clearly did. Just to be clear: It isn't about the money; it's taking advantage of customers that sets me over the edge. My honest review: If you want a good paint job, I'd recommend. If you need something else done, I would look elsewhere.

Each time they come in with the best price - and don't mess around when they get to work. They care about the details and are always willing to work with me no matter the request or restrictions. The painters started a day early, which fit in perfectly with my plans. They worked through a weekend, including Sunday. At the last minute I changed the paint color and they accommodated me. All I heard was "no problem". There was a miscommunication about the biggest room, and if it had been more clearly explained I probably could have saved some money. This was an expensive job. Overall, they deserve the 5 stars. Definitely professional and easy to work with. I would use them again.

Rescheduled four times. They did later agree to fix these, but by that point we were so done that we didn't want to deal with them further-- 1. Did not fully repair walls. 2. Dripped paint on multiple services in bathroom—floor, baseboards, bathtub, towel rod, light switch. 3. Did not replace all weather stripping on exterior door. 4. Unplugged the refrigerator/freezer without letting us know.

They did a great job painting our house. We painted the outside in January and there were a lot of weather challenges. ProGreen stayed on top of the job. The paint job looks great with attention to detail. Very easy to work with. We will use them again.

I had my 1986 home painted recently by ProGreen Home and they did a fantastic job! My home is older and needed quite a few repairs (rotten wood replaced, cosmetic changes to exterior, new front posts) and they took care of all the repairs. I wanted a company that would point out the problems and remediate them without just painting over it. Their communication was excellent! I always knew when they were coming and what to expect for the day. They were immediately responsive to any questions or concerns I had. Last but not least, everyone who showed up to work was a professional and treated me and my home with tremendous respect. I highly recommend ProGreen Home for any painting or remodeling needs. They are also general contractors so they get the job done right!

I have used Pro-Green on three separate occasions, to paint both the inside and exterior of my former house in Cary and then my new house in Apex last May where they painted the entire interior of the house from ceiling to floor. They also retiled the kitchen back splash and put Durock on my master tub wall (already had contracted for that tile job.) I have repeated used Cary's group of guys because they are very professional, hardworking, eager to do a good job and make the customer happy and have worked within my time frame each time. They've also readily come back when I wanted more attention given to something. Their prices have always been fair as well. Call Cory for an estimate-- you won't regret it!

We went with Progreen over a competitor because the price was right and when they knew we were shopping around they dropped the price. In speaking with the owner I was told that every exterior job was treated as though there were less involved (drop clothes for scraping and proper containment technique). When the crew came to do prep work they scraped and left thousands of paint chips all around my house. The scraping was not well done at all. Large flakes hung loosely from the house and if they were painted over they would have immediately chipped off in a wind or rain. A carpenter was supposed to come in the first day to start repairs of the wood that needed it and I had to call to find out where he was. He didn’t show until after dark because he didn’t realize he was supposed to be at my place. He then had to completely revise the quote I was given because the original quote didn’t cover 1/2 of the repairs that were needed. I called the company back and asked that they clean up the mess they made. They apologized and sent someone out the next day. The woman must have been at my home for about 1/2 hour and done nothing because it looked the same when I came home. We also found cigarette butts on the ground and empty chip bags stuffed behind the cable box. I cut all ties with the company as they breached their contract. If you plan on using this company you will want to supervise everything they do. I have found out that it is illegal for companies that aren’t RRP certified to do this kind of exterior work on houses older than 1978, and I now know that progreen is not RRP certified.

I decided to use Pro GREEN to remove our textured ceilings a couple of years ago. What a great decision. Our ceilings looked so much better smooth. This was one of the smoothest experiences we've had with a service provider, even though this was a major undertaking. Our house is about 2800 sq ft with a high vaulted ceiling in the living room. The kitchen and all of the bathrooms were in wall paper that also needed to be removed. Cory's estimate was very fair and significantly lower than the other companies I was considering. In addition, Cory said they could get the job done in 7-10 days whereas the other providers said it would take much longer. The crew showed up on time every day, worked hard, and were extremely polite and courteous. They got the job done in 10 days as promised, and the quality of their work was outstanding. We are extremely happy with the results and would recommend Pro Green to anyone considering a painting project.

Progreen painted our home and replaced our carpets ahead of putting our house on the market. Their painting crew in particular was unbelievable. They found and fixed things in my dry wall that I didn't even know were problems, at no extra cost to me. They even came back after the carpets were replaced to redo any mark-ups on the floor boards caused by the re-carpeting. I won't use another crew for home projects.
