I hired Painting & Moore to paint the outside of my home and to do some drywall work. My house is made of brick so I thought this would be pretty straight forward, but this ended up being a disaster. (see attached photos). Every window in the home was painted shut. The irony of this was that we hadn't planned to get the insides of the windows painted but they advised us that it would look better if we did. Other painters later told me that painting a window shut is like the cardinal sin of painting; it should never happen to a professional. To make matters worse, when we told the crew that we couldn't open our windows, one of them became very angry and yelled at us and stated that it was our fault for not telling him to open the windows. The foreman, Oscar, told us that he was sorry this had happened, but that if we needed him to come back for touch ups then that would make up for the windows and they just left like the job was done. THEY JUST LEFT! I called the service manager, Ben, and he was very apologetic about everything and tried to put a plan together to fix this. So the crew comes back over and pries all the windows open and repaints. The service manager assured me he would come by that day to make sure all the windows were taken care of, but never did. After the paint was dry, we went around the house to close all the windows. WE COULDN'T GET ALL THE WINDOWS TO CLOSE. This is when I lost all confidence in Painting & Moore. I had to go outside at 9 o'clock at night on a ladder to try and push my crank windows shut from the outside. Some window seals had literally been ripped in two from when the painters were trying to force open the windows that had been painted shut. We did eventually get them all closed, but decided it was time to cut all ties with Painting and Moore and hire someone else to fix all this. Looking back, there were several signs that this was going to be bad. The crew was unprepared. They kept asking to use my tools. I had to loan out my drill, table saw, even had to dig out screws from my toolbox so they could use them for the drywall repairs (which didn't even get sanded down). They tracked in all kinds of dirt into the house. You can literally see their foot prints in the attached pictures.

It was one of the worst experiences that I have ever had with a residential painting contract. The head crew member, Oscar, was not professional on my project and he didn't take pains to ensure that my home would be protected from painting mishaps, Although his helpers covered areas where they were painting, he did not. Everywhere he painted there were drips and splatters and when the helpers painted baseboards, they managed to drip paint on the wood flooring and it wasn't cleaned-up until I pointed out the areas. Even then, the cleaner dulled the finish on areas of my wood floor. His painters actually painted around objects in one of the areas instead of taking them down. When I confronted Oscar, he said, "Maybe they didn't know how to take them off the wall"--and these were painting professionals??? He argued with me about completing the painting job for the master bath. I mentioned that the water closet would be included since it was within the bathroom area on the job list to be painted. I believe my questioning Oscar's judgment and pointing out sloppy work resulted in an animosity towards me and this reflected on the job he performed. I called the owner, Jon Moore and he did his best to make things right, but he told me that Oscar would have to own his work, and I would have to point out all the areas of painting clean-up and repairs that needed to be redone. Having Oscar out to my home again was very upsetting and it took another day out of my time that I didn't have planned. The painting contract entailed some exterior painting as well and Oscar and his crew did sloppy work on this area as well. The general manager, Gil, was nice but I felt he was coddling Oscar's and his lack of painting skills because he needed crews to perform other jobs that the company had scheduled. Gil said that Oscar always did quality work in the past for them, but I still find this hard to believe. If you do decide to hire Painting & Moore, make sure that Oscar is not the crew member in charge of your project for your home.

Reached out to them to provide a quote and they said they were coming out out the following day and would "leave the quote." I followed up several days later to confirm they were still coming out as I had not yet seen a quote - still have not received a response several days later. Guess I dodged a bullet, if they can't provide a quote as committed, their work is probably just as shoddy.

Excellent in all aspects from the first contact with Cory. Personable, dependable, professional team, prompt, attention to detail...perfectionist in every aspect of painting and pressure washing our home of 18 years. Looks fresh and NEW again. Love this company! Also, out of 5 quotes theirs was the best price!! Can't beat that! Go for it...you will not be disappointed!

My neighbor recommended Painting and Moore so I gave them a call. Gill came out and gave me a fair estimate and explained the process. The crew came out to prep the exterior and paint a few rooms in the interior. Two days later my house was fully sealed and painted. Gill came back to inspect the work and had the crew make a few touch ups. I will definitely recommend them to my other neighbors.

Definitely do not recommend! We used this company about 4 years ago to paint our living room because the room has vaulted ceilings. The first problem came when they asked us which color and finish we would like. I clearly stated that I would like an eggshell finish, however, I was told that flat paint was better and easier to clean (which I KNOW is not true) even after telling them that I prefer eggshell, they told me that I should do flat. So I ended up with a flat, builder grade paint throughout the living room. They finished the job and left...leaving behind destruction. Several pain spots left on our carpet as well as the spindles broken off of 3 of our blinds. Now, I will say our home is older and the blinds were fragile. The only positive thing to come from the experience is that they did end up sending us a Lowe’s gift card for the damage to the blinds. I was so ready to get them out of the house after seeing the mess, I didn’t even notice that they didn’t even leave us any leftover paint for future touch ups. So here we are 4 years later, and it’s time for some serious touch ups. We called Painting and Moore to try to get the information of the paint they used, and all they were able to give us was a certain tree of colors that they used...not even the exact color. So that left is with about 12 samples to figure out from. I was able to spark a memory after seeing one of the names of the paints, and I was 99.9% sure that it was the right color. I get to Lowe’s today to purchase a gallon of this FLAT paint, and the man at the counter asks which paint I want...Sherwin Williams or Valspar. Apparently the shade could be different depending on the brand. While I’m pretty certain that this company probably just went with the cheapest option, I choose Sherwin Williams because it is a Sherwin Williams color and they so proudly advertise Sherwin Williams on their website. I am currently watching a sample swatch dry on my wall, and it is very obviously not the same shade. All of that to say, this company sucks. And I’m still dealing with the aftermath all these years later. The LEAST they could do is keep file of the exact paint, brand and finish they used on your walls. Especially if they aren’t going to leave behind any touch up paint.

Painting and Moore just finished this week with the exterior of my house. My house has never looked this good! Wes was in contact from the estimate to the end. All the workers came on time and worked until almost dark. Everyone was very nice and very respectful of my property. I would highly recommend this company. I can't wait until I have the interior done!

Two of our neighbors used Painting & Moore and recommended their services. We now highly recommend them as well. From the initial phone contact to the completion of the project, they were highly professional and responsive. Their pricing was competitive and their work exceptional (we had the exterior brick of our home painted for the first time, including all trim and a few rooms in the house). Wes was our main contact and he was really easy to work with. They also offer a color consultation through Sherwin Williams, which I also recommend if you aren't sure of your color selections. Katie Brown was our consultant and she did a great job of listening to us and figuring our what colors would work best.

Ben & Danny were great to work with. Crew was ontime and did not leave till we were satisfied. Great service.

I hired Painting & Moore 2 years ago to repaint our historic home. The job included replacing rotten siding, pressure washing to loosen old paint, scraping all loose paint, caulking, priming, and painting 2 coats. It was a big job, and they did it without any major issues, all while communicating extremely well. However, after 2 years, there were a few areas that started to peel for some reason, and I assumed I would have a big fight on my hands based on experience with other companies. Nope! John replied immediately and came out to see the peeling paint, brought out his Sherwin-Williams rep to figure out why their top-quality paint (Duration) didn't seem to be holding up in those areas, and had everything repaired and repainted within 2 weeks of calling him. It's so rare these days to come across an honest company with the integrity to stand by their warranty without argument, and for that reason I would recommend Painting & Moore to anyone who asked, and I will use them again for all future painting needs.
