Please go use someone else. DO NOT USE GARY. Gary comes to your house and gives you the warm and fuzzies, sent a reasonable invoice, and then i never see him again. Only random men coming to my house. They did the job wrong (replace rotten wood - Round 1) and it took THREE requests and repeat visits before he actually got it Right. Even Gary came by and said there was no issue and it was done properly, but i knew the rotten wood was covered with a coat of caulk and left to be good enough. The entire spindle was what needed to be replaced (PHOTO 1) , which is why I had hired them in the first place. HOwever it was just caulked into place which i easily unveiled (photo2 - round1) I have to assume the job on my chimney siding was done right because I cannot climb up there to see otherwise. But i would suggest you not use Gary because he does not do the job himself but sends men he poorly communicates with (from the mouth of said men) I would never call him again to do work on my house and I would never refer him to anyone. In the end, the job was done, and i assume it is correct, but what a hassle to have to triple check and still call him out on it being done incorrectly. His attitude was not apologetic at ALL. Gary himself came out and ASSURED ME THAT it was correct, but i'll show you a picture of the wood and you tell me if this looks like it wasn't soft underneath. (photo3, Round 2) Here is the BIG DEAL to me, NOT ONCE did he apologize for this hassle. His worker parked in front of my driveway, like perpendicular so nobody could come in or out. I'm not sure where he found his workers who seemed nice enough, but he must be paying them next to nothing and making profit. I will tell EVERYONE this DO NOT USE GARY AS HE DOES NOT CARE IF IT IS DONE WRONG. HE JUST WANTS THE MONEY. GO ELSEWHERE! He even asked me to give a review, so here it is. a very bad one.

Great overall experience with Gary and his team. Was very easy to schedule an estimate via his website. Gary showed up promptly to assess the job of replacing some rotten wood (porch column and brick molding) throughly and gave a fair estimate. Ultimately Robert completed the work. Gary sent Robert out for a few tasks - hang a storm door, repair a door jamb, and install crown molding - and Robert did a fantastic job. I was going to upload a photo of the molding, but the picture can't convey the care and craftsmanship of Robert's work. He was initially concerned that I didn't have enough molding on hand (we'd bought 64 feet for a 58 foot job with a few too many corners), but he planned carefully and mitered judiciously and made the molding not just work but look great, too. I'll be calling Gary again for my next job. Highly recommended.

We wanted Gary's team to match the existing railing, as well as to make recommendations to add grab bars that would be functional and would be easy for my parents, in their 80's, to safely navigate into my home. I was able to send a picture of my existing railing and received a prompt quote by Gary by email. Gary told me who he was sending, and their contact info. Rich did an outstanding job of keeping me updated on when he was coming, what he was doing, and he made great recommendations for grab bars. He was skilled, fast, and cleaned up the work area thoroughly.

Horrible Started well enough. Came over did a good job on making an estimate and a few weeks later 3 workers showed up who we had never seen. I paid the $950 down payment to start work They were nice enough but when we started asking hard questions such as, are you bonded and licensed and do you have workman's compensation insurance, they said NO. Homeowners, don't let anyone in your house without WC insurance because they can sue you as the homeowner. They said Gary had the insurance and was bonded but when we called the stated construction board there was no licensing or insurance. You take it upon yourself and you as the homeowner take on the liability and exposure if something goes wrong, not to mention because there is no construction license, the work is not warranted for a period of time. We had the workers not come the next day. We contacted Gary to try and reach him to DISCUSS our concerns and reached his secretary who said she would pass the message. Received an email the next morning asking for the remaining money so the workers could come in. I have called Gary 3 times and emailed him 3 times and have received NO response. As a business owner, I thought he would be willing to listen to my concerns and see if we could negotiate a fix to ensure both parties needs were met. NO RESPONSE FROM GARY THE HANDYMAN. Good Luck I

Robert came in on time to fix the door lock jam. He tried different methods to remove the old door lock so that I could put a new one in. He then went ahead to put in the new lock that I bought. Very reasonable price. I have also used Gary the Handyman before. The First time involved a bathroom drain issue and a faucet leak. Robert came in to fix them. Very reasonable price. The second time was for some double pane window replacement. The estimate was very reasonable and the work was done beautifully by Rudy Glass.

I looked a long time for someone to work on my special project. I wanted a French door with a large window on each side of the doors. I could not find anyone I could afford or trusted to do the work. I am kinda picky. The two men that Gary sent to my home were wonderful. They were professional, friendly, and did exactley what I wanted. They were timely and efficient. Problem alert: They installed a new (More modern) fan+light for us and put the old (perfectly working) fan+light on their truck without telling us. I had to ask for it back. We later sold it on Craig’s list for $50. So be aware that this is obviously another income stream for them and hołd on tight to any working items they remove.

Gary built out some amazing space saving shelves in our garage units. Do yourself a favor and take advantage of the tall ceiling space and have Gary build out some heavy duty shelving. He doesn't stand by his bid. The thing that rally made me mad was the actual work came in 50% more than quoted. I tried to discuss this with Gary but it was worthless and he just kept saying the same thing and wouldn't budge. Pretty poor business practice as he took over a week to even call me to discuss the bill. I can say the work is pretty good but he does use a lot of subs.

As a homeowner, I decided to act as the GC to save some money. I was finishing an unfinished basement. Gary acted in a very timely manner to the request for quote and the quotes were very detailed on the work to be completed. He also broke up the quote into separate projects that fit the other contractor’s tasks. Gary was not the one that completed the work but the person that did come was very professional and checked with me constantly to ensure that the I was getting exactly what I requested. Framing changes took about 6 total days of on and off work. Plan on using Gary in the future for any other items that come up.

I called an Gary was at my house that day to do the estimate and by the next week his guys where here repairing a bunch of rotten wood around my home. The work was excellent, his crew did a great job and always cleaned up at the end of the day. This last time I used him, I had them inside doing drywall work and installing new trim. Once again, I was very pleased. I would recommend him to anybody needing this to be done.

Rating is a 10 for Gary and crew (Robert and Daniel). Robert replaced rotting wood on fascia; very courteous and professional. I was very impressed with Daniel and his expert painting crew. I have light stucco panels and dark trim and was very nervous about how straight the lines would be between the two colors. I am so pleased with the finished product. The painters worked very diligently in hot humid weather, were professional and polite. I will definitely hire Gary for future projects.

Came to my home for an estimate for a relatively small job. The estimate was obnoxious! So over priced. Then I researched and noticed that this company does not have insurance. If a worker falls on your property you can be liable. I found another reliable company that has insurance. And they did the job for 1/3 the price of Gary's estimate.
