Peggy McNeil and her Freshcoat crew of painters brought my dated dull kitchen back to life and into the 21st century. With Peggy's design expertise, we chose the perfect shade of white paint (out of a jillion choices) and her crew sanded, cleaned, and did a perfect job of painting. They look like they came from the factory. Peggy is not satisfied until the customer is satisfied. In months since completion, the cabinets have stood the test of time and are easy to keep clean. Peggy also guided the purchase and installation of a new tile floor. Everything is now so new and bright, I even enjoy spending time there.

I would recommend Fresh Coat Painters to anyone in need of a small or large paint job. I purchased a home that needed a whole home re-paint, and it was a very big job. The owner is very easy to work with, and makes herself available at your convenience. She was great about staying in contact with me and communicating timelines accurately. The painters themselves were personable and extremely professional too. The quality of work was also fantastic. The level of attention to detail and the apparent organization among the painters is undoubtedly the key to their success. I felt the price was very fair for the amount of work/painting I was getting done, and you I would definitely use them again. Remember, you get what you pay for, if you want sloppy work and low cost, they are not for you, if you want exceptional work and a fair price for it, these are your painters.

Unable to meet start date. Lots of excuses for inability to start job. After two delays we punted and used another painter. Still waiting for return of my deposit that was promised.

I set up an appointment with them to get a quote for interior and exterior painting at my house and they never showed up nor did they call to cancel, reschedule or notify me. I tried calling twice after the appointment time passed and got only voicemail.

I requested a quote to pressure wash and stain a deck weeks ago and have yet to receive it. I have reached out twice to inform Fresh Coat that I haven't received the estimate.If I end up getting it any time soon and choose to use Fresh Coat for the job I will make another review... to be continued...

I work for a company that hired Fresh Coat Painters of Southern Pines. DO NOT CALL THEM. There work is terrible. They take forever to paint and they have no idea what they are doing. I would have been better off hiring a kindergarten class to do the job then them. They are WAY over priced. I found an awesome company to do the job. Please don't waste for time on these people. :)

Fresh Coat has proven themselves to me to be the best bet for hiring a painting contractor. The company is one of the only companies that will remove wallpaper and popcorn! I want to say the price was the best part but to me it was the attention to detail. The job and job site were as good as it gets as far as the quality of the work and the clean-up. Five stars all the way for Fresh Coat. Good price, good work, happy customer!

Peggy and her team are top notch professionals! I first spoke with Peggy over the phone before I moved to town. I had never hired painters and was really nervous about what to expect. She was so knowledgeable, friendly and supportive that I hung up relieved knowing I would be in good hands. We painted the whole first floor and I needed help choosing colors. Peggy to the rescue. She met with me at the house before we moved in and spent several hours discussing color options. She offered great advice and we ended up picking beautiful colors that I don't think I would have honed in on by myself, but they are totally me. She really took the time to get a feel for preferences. Once her team started I was still very impressed. All of her staff is professional, courteous and detail oriented. You can tell Peggy expects a high standard for all of her employees from the prep work until the end product. I was very pleased with all of their work and if there were any minor blemishes they were very quick to fix. We were on a pretty strict time frame with some other contractors working in the house before moving in and we had no delays. I can't recommend Fresh Coat Southern Pines enough. I really enjoyed working with them and love their work. My house looks great and Peggy and all of her team were just a pleasure. Thank you so much! I get so many compliments on the colors and how nice it looks.

We won our case in court against fresh coat and Peggy . The judge was very concerned that a business owner here in this community would treat a retired 31 year veteran this way especially as we retired here due to the support and respect given to military persons . And apologized. He agreed she had no legal right to keep our deposit and awarded it returned along with court costs. Peggy has still to this day not returned our deposit as so ordered by a judge! A business owner with no respect for a judge or north carolina law. Is this the type of person you want anywhere near your property ? Have you read fresh coats morals and ethics and how they say they hold employees and franchise owners to a high standard. Apparently all that is a lie as well. We will not give up on getting our deposit returned to us.. we will continue to take whatever legal means necessary and write reviews like this to warn other potential clients DO NOT USE FRESH COAT for your painting needs. I hired Peggy to paint all the trim on my house which included a badly sun-degenerated, stained front door. She was a little disorganized and the job was in the winter, so weather was a moving target of course and that understandably delayed work. It was finished and done well. The front door was very complicated, but she persevered. I was happy. A couple of gutters were damaged by her painters and they were replaced. Overall, I think her conscientiousness overcame a little disorganization and I would use her again. Chuck Grantham
