Y'all do not know what painting it is and how to mix up colors to save anybody's ass. I had to repaint everything you guys did from a old women's house. Inside and exterior. Y'all gave her a quote of 1,200 for whole house which is good but when I came in there, it looked alright until I go close to walls. Y'all need to learn how to not much as much paint on these walls and also be more straight when your cutting in. The color was good but y'all could have made it more pure and stired a whole lot longer than just for 10 mins. If y'all need your house painted, just give me a text or call another company since I have had a few customers that didn't like what they did. Thank you and again no offense to 5 start painting but y'all need some work and need to put as 3 star painting

Bruce and Five Star Painting do a very professional job. They were recommended to me by a property manager that uses them for all their painting jobs (both inside and outside) . This is a very professional team asks what you want, makes suggestions that are helpful, does a very good job, does the job on time, cleans up after themselves and bills you what they had quoted. The team was professional and knew what they needed to do. One can feel comfortable with these guys working around your house. They did exactly what I wanted done for a very reasonable price and there were no surprises. That is my definition of a perfect painting company. Plus your neighbors are happy that your house looks nice.

Friendly and prompt response from Susie Stafford in the office, and our sales guy Trent McGuire. We had a quote within a few days, and the work was scheduled in about two weeks. The job took about 5 days start to finish. The house looks great! Painters did a fine job...very thorough with excellent attention to detail. Nice job cleaning up each day. Trent was a good project manager and communicator, explaining how everything would happen and that he'd be there for any needs or problems. Five Star did a partial house painting for us in 2015 and also did a fantastic job then. It was an easy decision to use them this time for the full house.

UPDATE: I appreciate that Five Star has tried to remedy the situation. They had the painter come back and clean up the spots. So I've adjusted my rating, and due to the customer service, I feel comfortable recommending them. I have used Five Star in the past, and I found the work to be of good quality and felt the price I paid was fair. However, this time I cannot say the same. I paid a little more than $630 to have our fairly large master bedroom and two baths painted. To my surprise, only one painter arrived for the job around 9am. He said his assistant called in sick. I let him know in the very beginning that I would need to be heading out for an event at 5:30pm that day. Because it was just him, I think he felt rushed. He wasn't able to finish until a little after 5:40. He did a good job on the walls--very even and whatnot--but I found a lot of splatter afterwards. Most I was able to scrape off, but not what got on my chair or what got on the windowsills. Also, he accidentally broke part of our window fixture (not sure what it's actually called? see picture). It's all small stuff, but super annoying. I expect more when I drop $600+. Again, I don't really blame the painter. I think he did the best he could but was unable to do as good a job as if he had help. But that said, I don't think I would use Five Star again.

this was a very pleasant experience. We got a whole house painting from 5Star and they were really 5 Star ! Good price, easy to do business with (Thx Bruce and Susan for the great service and communication), excellent work by the painters and most important they were fast not lacking quality. I fully recommend 5 Star Painting, they are a great company and have great people working for them. See you guys when we do the trim :)

Very disappointed in the unprofessional service and lack of any customer service I received in Raleigh. Sure Five Star did everything they said they would. I asked for damaged siding to be replaced and they did that. However, I was unaware that Five Start will not address damaged components under the siding as that is "not their job". So if you ask for siding to be replaced by Five Star be sure you observe the work and have someone else verify that they are not covering up damage that needs to be addressed. I was told by the local specialist that even though he admits to not paying attention to the job and missing the damaged area, my having to pay someone else to remove the new siding to address the obvious damage was just my bad luck. The specialist went on to say even if he did see the damage he would not have done anything different as they routinely cover up damaged components without fixing them or (presumably) without notifying the owner of the damage as in their opinion it doesn’t matter. Apparently professional courtesy or repeat business doesn’t matter either. In my opinion if you are in the business of installing siding you should be aware of what damage directly under siding looks like. How can siding be properly installed over damaged components?

Stay Away. Very poor experieince. Very poor customer service. Bruce the owner is very unprofessional. Him and his helper Chad have no integrity.Bruce yelled at me and my wife during phone conversations. The painters damaged our wooden flooring durng painting and took no ownership. Be careful!!

Five Star did a great job painting the exterior of my home. Susie set everything up on a time frame that worked for us and was very easy to communicate with. Painters showed up on time and were very thorough with cleanup. I would highly recommend Five Star.

The exterior painting job was a disaster. They bumped up the cost just before the painting was to begun and forced me to pay the extra amount. In spite of that, the paint started peeling within 3 months. Even though the warranty was 2 years, they refused to accept the responsibility of the problem and refused to fix it. They blamed me for insisting on selecting the paint instead of stain that I have no recollection of . It has been very frustrating to work with them and the owner, Bruce Jones, always plays the hardball and is stubborn. He just wants profits, blindly trusts his employees and doesn't care about the quality of the work. Stay Away at all cost.

I HAD USED CERTA PRO FIRST AND WAS NOT EXTREMELY PLEASED WITH THE WHOLE EXPERIENCE. BUT I DECIDED TO PAINT THE REST OF THE HOUSE I CALLED THEM BACK ALONG WITH FIVE STAR AND BIANCO PAINTING. FIVE STAR BY FAR HAD THE BEST PRICE AND BRUCE WALKED THRU THE WHOLE PROJECT DURING THE ESTIMATE. My experience dealing with five star painting in NC was worse than you could ever imagine. They used my lawn to clean their paint equipment, then left a large pile of paint buckets in my driveway. They threw items into my bathtub and cracked it. When asked about it, they denied it. Dirty, empty paint cans were also left on my newly floored kitchen. I made an appointment with the supervisor to come and clean up their mess and repair the bathtub. However, he never showed up or called to cancel. Then they lied and told me that my driveway was clear of their trash after waiting several days for them to come and clear it out. I finally had to clean up their mess myself. This is certainly a company to avoid, very sloppy and unprofessional. My five year old grand daughter could have been a better job than they did.

I use five star painting exclusively. They came in on a project at our new building that was built for Poole's Plumbing. The contractor had hired another painting contractor that did a horrible job. Paint was coming off the walls and the job was very challenging but they did a fantastic job. The finished product was great. I have also used them on multiple rental houses and the job was always done in a top notch way. If you want a great painting job then they are the people to call.

Very pleased with their work and their customer service on our large exterior paint and stain projects. Robin was a pleasure to work with. We changed the scope of our project on several occasions and he took everything in stride. The painters were pleasant and professional. We pointed out a couple of items that we wanted to be addressed and Robin sent over a crew member within 2 days who spent an entire 8 hour day touching things up, cleaning the work area and really putting the finishing touches on their work so that EVERYTHING looked great. Horrible Job. FIVE STAR MY A** They blamed horrible lines on "the way your drywall curves" they blamed the construction of the home and the angle of which i was looking at the wall as to why the lines were out of place. I payed 3000 for my entire home with vaulted ceilings, worst money ive ever spent. They NEVER owned up to fixing any issues. They never removed light switches or lighting fixtures and got paint all over those and the electrical sockets. I also hired them to paint all doors in my home and they said "We only paint the front outward facing portion of the door, Inside is extra" WTF?!! Workers would blast their horrible mexican music even though i told them i was working from home and on the phone. I disagree with every good review on here. There is a service that you can pay for to remove bad reviews, i believe that is whats going on here.
