My wife and I are moving out of our rental house shortly, and into a home we bought. Our dog had done some damage to two door-frames, and we did some damage to a laundry closet doorknob. Our landlord gave us a lot of pressure to get repairs done quickly (unreasonably so!). Regardless, Lee (the owner and handyman) and Judi (in the office) were extremely cooperative and flexible with scheduling. The repairs were done quickly and look terrific! We will be using Craftsman Direct for any handyman needs in our new home.

We discovered water damage to the outside of our bathroom window. We called Craftsman Direct for a quote (along with 2 other companies). Rick came out to do the estimate and we received the quote the next day (which is more than I can say about the other 2 companies). Craftsman Direct, Rick and Lee, replaced the outside trim with PVC framing, caulked completely around the window and also repaired the inside trim work that had to be removed earlier to see if there was water damage inside the house. They arrived on time and had the job done in a couple of hours. We are very happy with them as a team and the workmanship. Thank you again for getting this done for us!

I hired Craftsman Direct to replace my siding and they did a beautiful job. The masonite siding was rotted and they replace it with James Hardy cement board. Gave me a 25 year warranty on the job too. It was done in one day and they cleaned up so well, honestly I can't even tell they were there. Except for my new beautiful siding. Highly recommend them. Two thumbs way, way up.

This is the second time I’ve used Craftsman Direct for handyman work. I had my deck sanded and stained, exterior power washed, and front porch cement re-painted (plus huge crack removed). After working with these guys a second time, I can confidently say they do not cut corners. They will make sure the job is done right and that you are happy with it. For example, we had problems finding the right color for the deck. Lee and Vesko had already purchased and applied stain when Lee suggested that the color will not do the deck justice. They took pictures, ran back to Lowe’s, and found colors that worked. You just get the sense that they’re looking out for your interest instead of trying to make a quick buck. Work aside, Lee and Vesko are incredibly professional and a pleasure to be around. I definitely recommend these guys. Thanks a lot for your work and for making my move that much easier.

We are very happy with our experience with Craftsman Direct. Lee and Rick replaced our front door and fixed rotting wood around the door and under the hardwood floors. They replaced the hardwood in the area and worked really hard to match it to the existing floor. It looks great! They also did some smaller jobs for us like fixing a loose railing, hanging and leveling a new chandelier, caulking, pressure washing, etc. We couldn't be happier with the results. Lee worked with us along the way and helped problem solve to make the most cost effective decisions. We highly recommend Craftsman Direct and will definitely use their services again when we need work done.

Lee and his team did a complete demo and redesign of our Master Bath. The entire room was retiled, a new shower was constructed, new lighting, closet, and washer and drier installed. Rick’s tile work is absolutely exceptional-he is a true master craftsman. Through the project, from the beginning of the design to completion, Lee was a superb partner and advised us on potential problems and gave us great recommendations throughout. He was very transparent about choices we made that impacted on cost, and was in constant communication with us. We were so pleased with the the redesign of our Master Bath that we contracted Craftsman Direct to paint our Master Bedroom, replacing French doors and installing a ceiling fan and crown molding. He then installed hardwood floor in our basement. His advice was critical to us deciding the best options for materials for the project. And again, Rick was exceptional. Through these projects we could not be more pleased with the professionalism of his team and the excellent quality of the work. We will continue to use Craftsman Direct for other projects and will enthusiastically recommend them to our friends and neighbors.

Unresponsive, unreliable and poor quality work. Doesn't stand behind warranty. Poor follow-up. Would never recommend Lee. Had to have someone come in and re-do everything he did. In the end, he cost me a lot of money.

I chose this company based on Google reviews. Wanted cosmetic work made to house prior to putting on market. This is a typical contracting company. I never spoke to Lee that everyone on Google was praising. A representative named Kevin came out, We toured the areas around the house and discussed what needed to be done. A few days later I received the estimates. Craftsman Direct contracted the job out and Kevin acted as project manager. The final cost ended up to be 3 times the original estimate. If everything looked great, the final cost would have been more palatable. It didn't. When I discussed the issues with Kevin it was apparent that there was a disconnect between us. The work that was done by the people that were contracted was fine, but not everything that I expected was completed. Some work resulted in damaged siding that was never addressed and I had to point out to Kevin. I've worked with similar contacting companies before and had similar results. Generally, I've had better results for projects when I deal directly with the people doing the work. Contracting companies usually end up charging a lot more for less and Craftsman Direct is no different. I'll not be using Craftsman Direct or any similar type of company for any future work. Contacted Lee directly specifically about the area that was never repaired properly and left in a more damaged than before any work was started. As per their warranty, Lee came to the house, took pictures of the damage for his records, and made arrangements for someone to fix the damage,which it was.

I called Craftsman Direct several weeks ago and left a voicemail asking them for a quote on a relatively simple job I needed done at my home. A week and a half later, I hadn't heard a word, so I called again and left another voicemail with my phone number. Here I am more than 3 weeks after the first call, 2 weeks after the second call, and I have heard nothing from these people. Not a word. Perhaps they just aren't interested in my business. I will be looking elsewhere for this job I need done and any future work as well. I recommend you do the same.

I'm updating this review based on the response from the owner. Yes, I'm sure it does take a day or two from time to time to provide a call back; however, at the time of the review it had been a week. It has been three months now and the owner replied to my review but still no call to discuss my project. Original review: I'm not sure if they do good work or not because they haven't called me back. I used their online contact us for a quote feature. They even ask about the urgency of your project. I selected "please call today or tomorrow." They didn't, so after a few days I called and left a voicemail asking for someone to call me back and several days later no one has.

I dont know what it is with this company but all I asked for is a quote for some drywall. When I first filled out the form online, no one called or emailed me back. I called a couple of days later and was told someone would call me back. I got a call back about 2-3 days later. I finally set up an appt. The tech was on time for the appt and stated I would get a quote back that night on Tuesday. I didnt receive an email or phone call with the quote and I followed up with the company friday to let them know I was still waiting for the quote. My email and phone number was re-verified and I was told someone would call me back. Here it is a week later and I still dont have a quote. I cant believe this. If this is the service I get for asking for a quote, I can only imagine what it would be like if I had hired them and was ready for them to start the work. Needless to say, I'm not gonna follow up with them anymore as this is beyond poor service. The only good I can say happened in dealing with this company is that the tech showed up on time. They just lost a potential customer as I was wanting get this work done within the next few weeks.

We had Kevin Hayden from Craftsman Direct renovate our full bath and powder room. The house was built in the 1950's and some of the fixtures were original. He put in a new tile floor (after repairing some subfloor issues), wainscot, and all new fixtures. It looks terrific! He showed up right on time to do the original estimate and was easy to contact via text or email. It did take longer than we thought it was going to but overall we are very pleased.

This contractor is great! Last year when I lived in Raleigh, NC I had them come out and repair our roof. A lot of other contractors came in really high and this contractor came right in under our budget. The crew that came out was courteous not only to us but also our neighbors. The roof looked brand new and the clean up they did afterwards was phenomenal!

I called Craftsman Direct for a quote on a master bath/closet renovation. The company was fantastic about getting a very competent individual to the house to take measurements, hear my ideas, and propose potential alternative solutions. I received a written estimate and all was going well. I then called the company's general phone line indicating I was interested in the work. I was told by a young woman on the phone that Lee would call me back that day. Six days passed and I heard nothing. I then realized I had Lee's personal number from the estimate. I called that and left a message. Another day passed and I heard nothing. Today I called back the general line and Lee's personal number and both calls went unanswered. If communication is this difficult when I am trying to use their services, I can't imagine it's much better during the actual renovation. I am now looking for alternative contractors.

From the first call the owner Lee was polite and responded quickly and with assurance that even though it was a small job he would find a way to make it worth both our time and money. After calling at least 10 Angies List A companies he was the only response that did not say my job was too small to bother. I actually only had 2 companies call back at all. Lee assured me he had a craftsman who could do this quick job and do it well. Charles gave me a call within the day and set up a time and he showed up the next morning right on time and got right to work. His quote was reasonable and he had a can do attitude that was absolutely reassuring. The work was done very well and my door hung and framed beautifully. Charles and Mike were prompt , professional and really very personable. I can't say enough good about them!!! This company is smart to have called me back as my bigger jobs and those of my family members with larger, very expensive homes will go to Craftsmen Direct as well.

We had these guys come out last weekend and do some work to our house. Lee replaced and painted a bunch of damaged siding we had, he made it look brand new. He also cleared out our gutters that hadn't been cleaned in years. I was very impressed with how knowledgable he was and how quickly he was able to get everything fixed up. He showed up early and worked literally all day long. He was very honest and transparent about everything. While he was fixing some siding he had to remove an electrical box from our house. The door to our storage room with the circuit breaker was broken, he noticed that and he fixed that for us too! I can't recommend Craftsman Direct enough!

I had to get some rotted exterior wood trim replaced before I could get gutters installed- Lee did a fantastic job and was helpful with some insight on things to be sure to look for from the gutter installation company. Craftsman Direct is now my 1st stop for when I need 'handyman' home repairs- and with a house built in the 1970's and a never-ending "to-do" list I already know I'll be calling them again for other repairs in the very near future.
