I hired certapro of Cary to paint the inside/outside trim on my screened porch and paint my storage shed. They arrived pretty much on time and got right to work power washing the areas to be painted. The first thing I noticed was that they powered washed the screens which confused me. They finished up and left to return the next day to paint. They arrived on time to paint. The process went fairly quick. However they missed several areas on the outside of the porch including a new piece of unpainted trim. Also several areas of the screen that were power washed were torn out of the trim and was not noticed until after they left. I contacted certapro and the contact lady Charlotte was very nice and scheduled someone to come and correct the issues. The two Certapro employees came earlier than expected which was great. They painted the missed areas and repaired the screen. Not sure if it was repaired properly but it appears to be. Time will tell. These two employees mentioned that they were tired of cleaning up after the painting crew that did the painting and that it wasn’t the first time they had to. Apparently this crew is a subcontractor. Might explain the problem of it not being done right the first time. Another minor issue was that a supervisor never came to check on the quality of the subcontractors work. If it weren’t for the patience, understanding, quick response and sincere caring of Charlotte I would only give 1 star. Thank you Charlotte.

I received a very detailed quote for my mother-in-law's home and they even helped me choose new colors - so much better than I could've chosen myself. Scheduling the project around her schedule was no problem and the painters left the house nice and clean for her.

We hired CertaPro to paint the exterior trim of our home. The guy that did our estimate arrived in a timely manner and gave us a very reasonable price. The weather added a few days to their arrival but that was no fault of theirs. When they arrived they got to work very quickly and did a good job at taping everything off. They worked very hard and it was nearly sundown when they finished. My husband has NEVER had anyone do painting for us as he does such a great job and is a perfectionist. He was very pleased with their work. The only reason I did not give them 5 stars is because when they were finished the had not painted the garage doors. When my husband questioned them they said that was not included in the quote. He insisted that they were and when they called the estimate guy he remembered the discussion and said that they were included so they had to come back another day to finish up. Also, since it was nearly dark when they finished the first day they left a couple of areas with tape and plastic protection in place. So my intention was to keep my husband off the ladders he still had to get up high to remove this stuff.

Everything was absolutely perfect. I called them on a Monday, and they came out the same day to give me a written estimate. No surprises, no additions to the original estimate. Tito and Jesus (Chuey) were professional and the attention to detail was excellent. They power washed the house, everything looked like new. They covered the entire kitchen to minimize the dust from the ceiling. They arrived on time and they finished when they said they would. The kitchen looks perfect. They also stained our back deck. AWESOME JOB!!!! I contacted multiple companies about painting my office building and many would not even quote it after seeing the state the building was in. We have very old windows on part of the building that all needed to be resealed and repainted to match. There were many other areas that had started to peel and need to be sanded down heavily prior to painting. CertaPro of Cary/Apex priced the job very fairly and did a fantastic job. The windows look like new and the rest of the building really pops with the fresh paint. They were very professional from start to finish and paid great attention to detail. I would highly recommend hiring this team.

Met with Frank from CertaPro and we went over everything I wanted done to the interior of the house. He was very professional and took careful measurements and notes. Got a wonderful breakdown of every room and each cost/add-on. Very easy to understand. Once we agreed to the work, they sent a crew out who met with my wife. After going over things, she decided to add ceilings to the workload. Apparently there had been a mis-communication regarding everything that we had decided upon doing, but a few quick calls to Frank and Amy and we were all sorted out. Hector and the crew did a fantastic job on the house. The place was spotless when they left. They did a great job walking through each room with me and if they caught something or I caught something, they immediately fixed it. Upon completion of the walkthrough, Hector said to call if we noticed anything else that needed to be done and they'd come back out and fix it. We had a great experience working with CertaPro. And we'll certainly consider them for future work on the house.

We hired painters through our real estate agent a few weeks ago to paint our kitchen and den. The painters were just god-awful. We needed our bedroom painted so we call CertaPro. We knew they'd be pricey, but professional. The CertaPro painters were pricey but awful... not god-awful, but pretty bad. My wife and I were disappointed.

If I could give them less than 1 star I would. The whole process with them was very frustrating, from the general lack of communication from our project manager who did not contact us until they were almost done, to errors that were made during the painting of our home and had to be corrected not once but twice. At the estimate we explained that our contractor was still going to be doing some drywall work and we would need some holes patched and painted. We were told that would be no problem. We told them not to paint the ceilings where the work was going to be done until after our contractor was done. They went ahead and painted the ceiling before the work was done and then refused to patch and paint the drywall after the contractor was done without an additional charge, resulting in us having to hire someone else to come and patch the holes and paint the drywall repair because they tried to claim the work wasn't in the contract, even though the person they sent for the estimate agreed to it. The company rushed to get started on the job, the crew they sent did pretty good work but we were frustrated at repeatedly having to tell them to not put open cans of paint on our new quartz counter tops or in our new stainless steel sink. In addition, we had to ask them multiple times to please cover the new counter tops. Two of our bathrooms were painted the wrong color and had to be corrected, and when one of them was corrected they made several mistakes that they had to come back out and fix again. In addition, we were supposed to have been given a sheet to write down the colors of all the paint for the different rooms. This never happened, and is likely the cause of much of the confusion. They tried to claim they had emails with the paint colors but given they painted rooms the wrong color, emails were apparently not adequate We were also told after we agreed to the estimate that a project manager would be contacting us to keep us informed or the progress on the job and be our point of contact. We were never contacted by a single project manager and we had to keep trying to get in touch with the person who gave us the estimate, which proved to be very difficult. It was not until we escalated our issues to the owner that we ever heard from the project manager and didn't meet him in person until he and the owner came to inspect the mistakes their crews made. Each time a new crew came out to fix the mistakes from the previous crew, they would arrive with no instructions on what it was they were supposed to be doing, even though we were told they had been informed. My wife would then have to take time away from her job to walk them through everything. We also had issues with last minute notices that painters would be delayed or not showing up. This is very frustrating when you are moving your work schedule around and boarding your dog to accommodate them being in the house. We had our contractor take a look at the work in our master bathroom and mark where the mistakes were and he was shocked at what he saw: -There was paint on the new quartz counter top and backsplash -The top of the window trim still had the original wrong color paint streaked on it -The painters painted the newly installed grout along the edge of our new shower, rather than creating an edge to protect the grout and only paint the wall. Their solution for this was to just caulk all the grout around the edge and paint it. They should have removed the paint from the grout -We had new shadowbox recessed wall panels built, and the painters failed to caulk and paint them, they simply made an amateur effort at painting them -One whole section of trim was not painted at all -You could still see sections of the old wrong wall paint color on the ceiling after they corrected the wall color The company also attempted to invoice us before they had completed all of the agreed upon work, a payment I refused to authorize until the work was complete. Needless to say, should we have any painting needs in the future we will be looking elsewhere.

My experience with CertaPro of Cary/Apex was not great. Obtaining the initial quote was easy, and the price was cheaper than other quotes I received. However, the painters showed up late on the day they were scheduled to paint, and they did not bring the paint as promised! I had to make other arrangements for them to be let back into my apartment at a later time that day, because of course I had to leave for work. The paint job was shoddy at best. The bedroom is particular was so streaky, I had to insist the painters return to do a second coat (not in my original quote). Though CertaPro only charged me for the additional bucket of paint, the walls still do not look good, and I found a number of paint spots on my carpet and furniture. It was also irritating I had to request a second coat rather than them letting me know up-front it would be necessary. Next time, I would choose a more expensive company that provides better service.

Isabelle and her team arrived promptly each day and did an excellent job prep our home for the painting. We had furniture, floors, and walls to be protected and all were cared for with great effort. The actual painting was perfect thanks to the designer who came to our home and matched the color perfectly. The areas to be painted were prepared with great care, sanded, primed, painted and given several several coats in areas of heavy use. We also had dry wall patching done that is perfect. Work was not completed to expectations! Had to have painters come back out to do a second coat b/c you could see the original paint through the sloppy application of a thin initial coat. They got paint all over our front porch and brand new wrought iron railing we had just had installed. Came home from work early to find painters fishing in our pond without permission, used our garden hose to clean the fish, and then had the fish hanging from a tree next to the house! My husband took pictures and emailed them to the office and no one seemed the least bit concerned. Total price of job ended up being $1220 more than original quote. If the original quote was that off, you all should have been upfront with us and said you needed to redo the estimate, not blindside us with additional charges after you already started the job. Additionally, the house was not cleaned of spider webs or dirt before the paint was applied so there is chunks of dirt and spider webs permanently painted into the house. There were additional problems that aren't even worth mentioning b/c every concern and issue my husband addressed was either ignored or dismissed. Will NEVER use this company or recommend to anyone we know. Thoroughly disappointed.

Expert crew that were extremely careful of our furniture, cabinetry, appliances, etc. At the end of the job the crew even swept our hardwood floors where they had been working. DO NOT HIRE. Working with CertaPro Painters of Cary/Apex was a frustrating experience. Getting an estimate was easy but most everything after that was very difficult. Trying to communicate with the company was next to impossible. They almost never answer their phone. We were starting to wonder if they had gone out of business. The painters were friendly and hard working but they did not come prepared with the supplies needed and one young woman was inexperienced (had only been with the company 1 week) and came to our house by herself to do painting/staining she had never done before. We finally got a hold of the owner. He was always friendly as were the other employees. He tried to make things right but lack of communication and poor management is a real problem. We are happy with the results but not with the process. I would not hire CertaPro Cary/Apex again. Other CertaPro Painting companies may be great but not this one until they get their problems worked out.

I got an estimate from these guys for some interior painting. The price was great so I thought I'd give them a chance. Filled out the paperwork and was told by the sales guy that they would give me a call 'at some point in time' to schedule the work (big red flag there). It's been a month since then and I have still heard nothing. I got the work done by another company - paid only a little bit more but it was well worth it and they even did more trim and ceilings than expected (and more than CertaPro was going to do).

Had shelves removed from our living room and wanted the wall patched and painted a new color. Painter didn't do any priming, so of course, the paint dried patchy. We were assured this was because the paint wasn't dry yet. Had to have painters out a second time to fix the problem since it dried patchy (big surprise). Painted too quickly, and bubbles formed, which again, we were assured happened because the paint wasn't dry yet. Customer service/quality assurance asked about our experience but basically apologized (too bad, so sad), and that was it. Four coats later, still have bubbles and imperfections due to painter. Also, plastic was not put down as promised in signed quote. We had another company patch cracks a few weeks later and were so much happier NOT using CertaPro.
