They were also very courteous and professional. They are more expensive than others for the work however they are more flexible on timing.

We hired Century painting to paint our entire house and they did an amazing job. I am very particular and have an eye for small details, but Jack and his crew made sure to live up to my expectations. Jack was prompt with communicating project updates and was very accommodating to additional work we asked him to do. They completed the job in a timely manner as well. My issue with this contractor came in a delayed fashion. An area that was repaired by them reappeared after the job was complete (not sure exactly how long after as we didn't move in to the house until a few months after buying). I asked Jack to come out and fix the issue given that it was in the exact area they repaired (and it was in the contract) but he decided to give me every excuse in the book to avoid coming back out. I ultimately got fed up with arguing with him and decided to hire someone else to fix this area. Though the initial job was well done, they didn't want to have anything to do with issues after getting out of there. For this reason, would not use again. **Update to owners response** Again more excuses and falsities listed in his response below. My parents swung by one of the days they were working bc I was not able to and they said nothing to his workers (in fact they said they were impressed with the work up to that point). All other times only people that stopped by MY house were either myself or my wife. Jack def didn't do a walk through of the project daily. In fact, the only times I saw him were the beginning of the job and during the final walk through (not to say he wasn't there bc I'm sure he stopped by daily, but there was no daily walk through with him like he alluded to below). I am now downgrading to a 1 star bc of the verbal back and forth I've had with Jack, along with an email asking I delete this review.

I purchased a home recently that needed most interior rooms painted including the removal of wallpaper. Jack met with me at my home to confirm colors and to discuss exactly what would be done. We had the exterior of our house painted which included fixing the separated joints on the Masonite siding. Jack's estimate was in the same ballpark as others but I chose him because he gave information beyond the estimate. He told me how the house was going to be pressure washed, the type of paint and why, and the type of caulking. There was a problem with sealing the seams in the siding but his team took an extra day to fix it to everyone's satisfaction.

Johnny, Vicente, and Javier showed up on time, prepped the rooms nicely, did a wonderful job, and cleaned up at the end of the day. They didn’t hesitate to help out with couple other things that we needed. The owner, Jack Jordan, is very respectful and communicated the work that will be done in detail in advance. Very reasonable pricing, even applied a third coat free of charge for one of the bedrooms. Highly recommended.

Jack and his crew recently came in and painted my entire 2 story, 1400 sq. ft. townhouse. Trim, doors, paint and all. I received a number of different quotes from other well reviewed contractors and painters but found Jacks prices to be the most reasonable. From the start, Jack could easily be reached via email and was in constant communication about the start date, a timeline, paint, prices, etc. With little notice they were able to start painting the home and finished in a day. They are very meticulous and do a nice job of prepping the space before getting started.They started at 8 and were completely finished by 6:30. In addition, he uses Sherwan Williams paint and will give you great suggestions about paint color, paint type, etc. I would highly recommend hiring Jack and his friendly crew for your painting needs. Jack was the most professional and easiest to get in touch with of all, and his rate was competitive with the others that I had contacted. He was able to give me a rough quote based on pictures I sent him and then came out the next day to give me a final quote. He was able to start the next day and arrived right on time with a crew of two others to paint our two story living room and up and downstairs halls. His team was courteous and professional as well and they took care to properly cover everything. They were very efficient, did a walk through with us after the first coat of paint to make sure we were satisfied that all nicks in the walls had been plastered before the second coat, and finished in one long day. I contacted Century Painting 5 days ago (along with three other companies) to get a quote to completely paint the first floor of my home. Jack responded to my inquery within minutes. He gave me a very good quote for the area to be covered within the day. Not only was he extremely responsive through the process, but he got a team over to paint two days later. They arrived right on the first morning and got SO MUCH done. I was amazing. The quality of work was excellent, and their clean up was very good as well. They left things covered for the next day of painting, but everything was organized and out of the way. The next morning only one of the men from the original team came to finish up the work, right on time, with amazing results. He worked again very quickly but did great work. The previous owners of our home had gotten paint all over the trim and molding, and Century painted over all of it without that being included in our original price quote or expectation. They also painted an extra wall up the stairs because they thought it would be a better transition from the living room (they were absolutely right). The price was very fair for the work being done, and by the end I almost felt like I had underpaid with all the little extra things they had done without me asking. I will be using them for all my future work, and suggest you do the same!

Recently used Century Painting for interior and exterior painting and had a great experience. The communication from Jack throughout the entire process was great, highly responsive at all hours of the day via email which provides a lot of peace of mind when you are trying to plan and execute a big painting project. Miguel and team did an amazing job painting the interior and exterior of my house, along with staining the deck. Miguel's attitude during the whole process (even on very hot days) was great and he was happy to solve things that popped up throughout the project (replacing trim wood, caulking gaps, giving opinions on colors, etc.). When the project was over I came home to a fresh looking house where everything outside had been cleaned up and put back in place. I would highly recommend Century Painting to anyone thinking about doing interior or exterior painting.

All I can say is amazing!! Hired Century Painting to repaint the entire house. Jack finished the job in 2 days with primer and 2 coats of paint on all surfaces (ceiling, walls, doors, moldings, baseboards and closets). We got the paint ourselves from our local Sherwin Williams store, but Jack allowed us to use his discount which was a nice way to save some money too! He and his team were dedicated and professional. The type of results we all expect but rarely get. Have you ever had "professional painters" come and go and realize that there are little paint specks on vanities or door handles? We have in the past. Century painting was perfect for the quality of work WE ALL expect. They also fit us in last minute as we are getting carpet installed. I will preface this review with a comment...I am usually not a person who posts reviews of any product or service online. However, I felt compelled to share the experience I had with Century Painting due to the level of excellence Jack and his crew demonstrated with the exterior painting of my home. From start to completion of the job, Jack and his crew delivered on every promise. Jack came out within 24 hours of initial contact to perform a detailed estimate of the work. His was the first of 5 estimates that I obtained prior to making a decision. He patiently waited 2 weeks for me to obtain other estimates and let me know that his company wanted my business. After I selected Century Painting, his crew began working on the extensive wood replacement that was needed prior to painting. His crew started the work ahead of schedule due to a cancellation, and my job was bumped up. His crew arrived at the same time every day. There was never a doubt they would not show as has been the practice of several other contractors I have used in the past. They were polite and worked efficiently. Johnny, the crew leader, kept me apprised of the progress of the job daily. As expected, no project ever comes off without a glitch or two, and this one was no exception. Near the completion of the work, an unexpected summer thunderstorm popped up. The heavy rain caused multiple areas of running and streaking on the freshly painted siding. I emailed Jack that evening and attached photos of the damage. Jack responded that same evening and reassured me that the issue would be corrected even if that meant repainting the damaged area. He and his crew again delivered on that promise. When I walked around the house to inspect the work on the date of completion, I witnessed a flawless paint job. Also, I noticed the fine clean-up his crew had done around the outside of the house and in the yard. No remnants of nails, wood chips, or masking tape. I think it would be hard to find another painting contractor in the Charlotte area who provides the same level of quality and value as Century Painting. I am extremely pleased. Job well done!!!

Jack was incredibly quick to respond to any questions I had before the job began, and made sure to confirm all of our information right before the job (since we had booked a month or so in advance). On painting day, Vicente and Jason arrived right as scheduled. They were both very friendly and professional. They made sure to take their shoes off before coming into the house since it was a rainy day - and I didn't even ask them to do that! The job was quick and very well done. I was very pleased with his work and his very response manner, especially when I called him regarding some touch up work, he showed up within the hour of the call. Working with Jack and team was great! Jack is highly communicative and very professional. Century Painting provided me a very competitive quote for the exterior of my home. The results were far and away better than the previous painters I used for the exterior. Jack kept me in the loop the whole time about the planned dates and any weather delays. The crew worked really hard and finished in two days. I have a very old home which is complicated because of the many uneven surfaces, etc. The results looked great, and the process was very professional start to finish!

We were looking for a painter to paint just a few rooms in our house, only to save us the time and hassle of painting a 2-story foyer. We also needed someone to repair an old ceiling repair that was starting to show. I found Century Painting online and the reviews made me want to try them. They live up to the reviews! Jack gave me an estimate and confirmed everything through text messages, which made it easy for me with my busy schedule. He was also willing to work with our schedule and gave us a few days heads-up on when they could start, which was helpful since my husband needed the time to arrange to be home for the painters. Johnny showed up on time and him and the other painters were quick and professional. They even touched up the ceiling to cover up the old paint that was on the ceiling (from a previous poor paint job). The ceiling repair was very well done and Johnny said all it needed was light sanding before we paint (we didn't ask them to paint the ceiling, just repair). Even with a light sanding needed, you can barely tell the ceiling was repaired! We will definitely use them again to paint other rooms in our house. I highly recommend using Century Painting.

I'm joining the chorus of excellent reviews. This company truly deserves the 5 stars. Here's why: the price quoted was very fair. The crew arrived promptly at the agreed upon time (a big plus in my book), the work was impeccable. There were at least 4 guys who finished my jobs in one day (!) and when they left, my house was clean. Jack helped me choose the right paint and provided excellent communication throughout. I cannot ask for more than this. The quote on the business card says "Where experience makes the difference" -- but I think it should say "Where attention to detail makes the difference." There was some repair to the walls and some extra prep needed. You'd never know that the wall had been patched. It looks perfect. The lines where wall meets trim are sharp and crisp, just how I like it. I'm a very happy customer and when it's time for the other rooms, I hope that Jack and crew can fit me on their schedule.

Century Painting recently painted our house including the walls, ceilings, trim, doors, and kitchen cabinets. They did a great job the first six days and we were very pleased with the quality of work; however, they rushed to finish everything on the last two days of the job causing major issues, which were handled very poorly by the owner Jack Jordan. The kitchen cabinets were rehung while still wet, leaving them with several smudges, nicks, and finger prints. The crew leader, Johnny, had to come back the next day to sand and touch up every cabinet. Although, they looked much better after the touch ups, there are still several finger prints and smudges that need further attention. The cabinet doors also seemed to show uneven paint color evident from the lines left behind from whatever they were laying on when they were sprayed. Johnny told us that everything would even out once the paint fully cured. We decided to give Johnny the final check, even though we had concerns about the final product of the cabinets. The next day, Jack tried to cash the final payment and the bank needed to confirm the check amount. They called me first and left a message then tried calling my wife, but we were both tied up in meetings. Jack immediately texted and emailed my wife several times, berating her for not confirming the check amount when she didn’t know what he was talking about. The check amount was confirmed once I received the message. When the cabinets did not dry evenly, we asked Jack if they could come back to touch up the cabinets. Jack told us his crew spent more than enough time on our house and they were not coming back because we had unrealistic expectations. As we were getting our house back in order, we noticed a coat of white overspray on our dining room table and several areas of the hardwood floors that were recently refinished. What we thought was dust during the final walk through was actually overspray damage. When I sent pictures of the cabinets and overspray damage, Jack seemed concerned and asked if he could send someone out to take a look at everything. I told Jack we would be free later in the week, but we never heard from him for three weeks until we reached out to him to provide estimates we received to repair the overspray damage. Jack came to the house the next day and had two of his guys on their hand and knees for two hours trying to remove the overspray from the floors. This was after he and I exchanged words and he slammed our front door. Although the floors looked better, the overspray was not completely removed. His guys agreed the floors needed to be buffed and re-coated to restore them to their original condition. Jack didn’t want to hear this and eventually told us (in front of Johnny) that Johnny would have to pay us cash to cover the cost to fix the damaged floors ($600) and dining room table ($245) since he was responsible. This was one of the most unprofessional things I have ever witnessed. These types of accidents happen and this is why professional contractors are bonded and insured. Johnny also painted another coat on one of the cabinet doors and it clearly fixed the uneven paint issues. In dealing with these issues, my wife and I both received several condescending and disrespectful texts and emails from Jack. Although Jack continued to make excuses for how all these issues could not have been caused by his crew, Jack eventually said he would be willing to repaint the cabinet doors, and pay to fix the dining room table and hardwood floors, only if we were willing to sign paperwork stating that we would not leave a negative review about him or Century Painting. Unfortunately this experience was so frustrating, unpleasant, and handled so poorly by Jack that we couldn’t give in to his bribe. I hope everyone reading this review thinks twice before hiring Century Painting because Jack is not easy to work with and has no idea how to resolve issues in a professional and timely manner.

I contacted him on a Wednesday and he was in my home at 8am Friday morning and out by 7pm Friday night. His crew had painted my almost 3,000 sq ft house in one day with perfect straight lines. A little late getting to the review, but my experience with Century Paint, Jack, Johnny and crew was nothing short of exceptional. We had our entire home repainted (interior) and there was quite a bit of work to be done. In addition, we had popcorn removed from 2500 sq ft of ceiling. The home hadn't been properly painted in years and the popcorn was a job too big for me to tackle. Jack showed up on time to provide the quote and was very helpful answering all of my original questions. When the work started, the foreman (Johnny) was very helpful and walked me through everything each morning. These guys kept my home clean, took great care of my furniture as they moved it around, and put everything back into place after finishing, along with cleaning the home. The work was excellent. The ceilings are perfectly smooth and every flaw in our walls has been repaired and covered with fresh new paint. This home has never looked better. Overall this was an excellent experience and I will only use Century painting moving forward. We are looking to have the exterior of our home repainted at some point in the future and have already received quotes from Jack for when we get ready. Couldn't recommend these guys more. Thanks!
