Aztec came highly recommended to me from a friend that had recently used them for her home improvements. I was not disappointed. From the initial quote until the final walk through I was impressed with everyone involved with my job. The transformation of the house was incredible. They removed all of the popcorn from the ceilings as well as repaired any issues with the walls and painted them. I also had exterior painting done as well. Even my neighbors have commented on how great of a job Aztec has done. Walt was my main POC and was very friendly and professional. Jordan and Kirsten were wonderful to deal with on every occasion. I would recommend them highly to anyone in need of renovations!!

Called for an estimate on my house. He came out on Friday and said he would email me the quote by Monday. It’s now Tuesday and no quote was received and when I emailed for the second time asking for the quote I got no response. Taking my business elsewhere. He just lost a big job!!!

Very happy with the work done. The crew was professional, on-time each day and respectful with our property. We had old dry wall issues that were repaired poorly by another company. Aztec re-did this work and it came out beautiful. The price was fair for the work to be done.

In the past we had a great experience with Sam and his crew, so we decided to reach out to them again. Sam came out and gave me a quote and said his secretary was in charge of scheduling and would be in contact. He told me they were about 2 weeks out which was perfect. A week and a half went by and his secretary had not contact me so I reached out to them. She said I was on the schedule for mid August which was 5 weeks from when we received a quote from Sam. We decided to just do a small portion now and the rest later on. She messaged me on Monday, July 23rd and said they could do our paint this week and asked for a day that works best for us. I told her any day was fine. She responded to my text and said she would let me know a for sure day after she spoke with Sam. We have a lot in our garage to move in the center so the could paint. That was at 8:58am on Monday. Wednesday at 8am they showed up. No communication from her at all since Monday morning. When I called and asked what was going on she assured me she let me know that they would be arriving. I double checked my text and calls. I did not have anything from her I sent her a screenshot of our messages because she insisted she let me know. I requested Sam to call me. He did and his attitude is why we will NEVER use or recommend them again even though their work is great. Attitude, especially from the owner is key!! When he called he was acting like it was no big deal and informed me that his secretary told him she was 99% sure she told me and maybe I was mistaken??? Then he said, "you would have been upset if we made an appointment and didn't show up. It was really just 5 minutes of your day that was inconvenienced " I totally understand mistakes happen because I make them everyday. However, the owner of the company can't have that type of attitude when speaking to customers. Simply say, we messed up and what day works best? Also, materials were included in our quote but they never reached out to us to get the color. Makes me wonder what color he was going to paint our garage when he showed up at 8am?!?!

Sam Matus and his crew at Aztec painting were professional from the start of the process through the last stroke of the brush on the exterior of our home. Their attention to detail on wood repair and surface prep was the best I have experienced and the crew was prompt and extremely neat. When they left at the end of the day you couldn't tell that they were even at the house. I would not hesitate to use them again or to recommend them to others. They are first rate.
