Most professional run company I ever known! I hired a lot of companies in my lifetime and this one I have to say is soup to nuts. Marcone is the foreman and his crew were wonderful. I have a disabled adult that they were very understanding about. I Clearly in their way many times they never even complained. They also put up with my dog which is a little meanie. Finding a paint company that operates with the highest level of integrity can be difficult. As a first time home buyer, I was overwhelmed and needed the entire interior of my home painted. She agreed to meet with me during the weekend, as I have a busy schedule. She walked me through the entire process and what it would take to proceed. I felt confident after our meeting and decided to hire CertaPro Painters of Mountainside to complete the job. It does not stop there. The entire team at this location is helpful. Raul, their job site supervisor was on the job and present every step of the way. He pays attention to detail and took his time. What I like the most about Raul, is his level of professionalism and he showed up on time. Raul and his team cleaned up after every project. They even went above and beyond by fixing additional problems that I had with another company that did work in my house. Renata, the office manager, was kind and always available when I had a question regarding processing payments or making changes to my contract. I am most happy with the owner, Kevin Foley. He went out of his way by staying in contact with me to ensure that I was happy with the job and his team. Regardless of me changing my mind regarding a color or perhaps adding on a new project to my home, Kevin worked with me. No project that I had in mind was too big or too small for Kevin and his team. He was patient through the entire process and he was reasonable with the pricing. Our Abraham Clark Chapter, Sons of the American Revolution, which maintains the Abraham Clark Memorial House in Roselle, used CertaPro to do the exterior (and some interior) painting this summer. Not only was the job done as scheduled, in spite of weather, but everything was left neat and tidy. One neighbor said that the house hasn’t looked this good in over 20 years! Mind you, the last time it was painted 10 years ago, we did it ourselves, but we were not professionals! In addition to the excellent painting, and within the estimated price, we received a discount for an historical property, and CertaPro obtained a discount in the price of the paint itself from the vendor. Overall, it was quick but with semi-professional results and service. Positives: Speed - they somehow did a 4-day job in 2 days, and were able to take on a job that was too overwhelming for me and with hard-to-reach places. The price seemed reasonable compared to cabinet specialists. Negatives: They rescheduled several times. The standard of quality was below what I would have done myself, e.g. painting over spackled nail holes without sanding properly, large missed spots on the ceiling, etc. While they made some attempts to clean up, I had to work hard to get spilled paint out from the cracks in the wood floor, scrape spackle globs off doors, etc. And most importantly, they rolled the cabinets rather than spraying as per the contract (apparently they don't have a workshop to do that in), and the office had the gall to call and say they would have to charge more for an additional coat that was needed because they were using rollers, though I don't know how they did primer and 3 coats on both sides of cabinet doors properly in 2 days. In the end, the foreman didn't ask for more money, because I think he knew better. The end result, with the enamel paint, is decent on the cabinets, but I'm a bit embarrassed to show off the rest of the room with the missed spots on the ceiling and obvious unsanded spackle spots that stand out.

Exceptional job from start to finish. This was an outside job which included painting a very dirty deck. The prep the CertaPro Team did was great, power washing and sanding until the surfaces were perfect. They cleaned up like the had never been there and the result was beautiful. We have plaster walls, so patch work is difficult. Each room needed ceiling, doors and trim done, so even though our house is small it was a lot of work. Our house looked GREAT and still does :)

Nice company. Great owner who knows how to do business the right way. I just had new windows installed in a 100 year old house and in addition to the windows, exterior paint and the trim needed to be updated so I called Certa based on their really good reviews and some of the work that I had seen. After meeting with Scott (a salesman) in February I hired this company to paint both the interior and exterior of my house. I emailed my paint color choices to Scott and the work was due to start the next week. Everything from there on is was mistake after repeated mistake. I'll provide you with the highlights. 1.) They managed to get the paint colors wrong on both the interior and exterior, even after having the color choices emailed to them. It was so bad that I came home and the foundation of my house was painted lavender despite me choosing the color beige. After correcting the paint color, it started to peel. I requested that the whole foundation be stripped and repainted. I was told by Brian (supervisor for the exterior painting) that would be done. I later received a call from Kevin (the owner) stating it couldn't be. He said that isn't a service his company offered and that doing that could jeopardize the structure of the house. I had no idea that stripping paint could do that...lmao. Such lies. 2.) Multiple screws were lost for both light fixtures and curtain rods. Even after being provided with a cup to place them in. 3.) A basement window was cracked. 4.) I later found out that Santiago's (supervisor for the interior painting) son was helping to paint my house. I'm sure most homeowners would be happy to know while their at work there house was being painted by a minor...smh. When I raised this issue with the office I was told by Renata (the secretary) that he had done that in the past and was told to stop. 5.) The last straw was when I made an appointment over a week in advance, called to confirm and they didn't show up. When Kevin (the owner) called me 4 days later I explained to him that his services were no longer needed. He explained because I still had an outstanding bill of $800 that he couldn't warranty the work. After spending over $8000 and receiving this kind of service, it's ok you can keep your warranty. I'll have a professional fix the job. All in all I would say this was the worst experience I ever had with a business. I would not recommend them at all.
