He always took the time to explain the steps of the project and it was evident that he takes extra effort when prepping the house for paint (caulking every seam). Matt also came out twice for touch-ups. I would highly recommend his group.

I didn't know if it could be covered but Matt's work was great! You can't even tell what was there. Matt also did some handiman work for me and left the home clean. He helped me with the color selection, as I was lost as to what colors to use when we began the project. He did an amazing job on the lower level of my house. He worked quickly and efficiently and made sure that when he was done for the day, there was no "evidence' that we were having work done. He took the time and care to make sure the project looked PERFECT when it was done. We cannot wait to have him come this summer to paint all the bedrooms and bathrooms upstairs. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

I recently hired Shumway Painting to paint the exterior of my two-story home. There was wood rot in various places to both the T-1-11 siding as well as various trim pieces and facia. As the repairs took place, we discovered more than what we originally anticipated. Matt made everything right, kept me well-informed along the way, and was careful not to skyrocket the final costs. If anything, I felt his final cost was far below what it should have been. Matt's work was excellent throughout. Where he especially shines is in his prep work, the thing that makes any paint job last for years. I highly recommend his services and will certainly use him for interior painting we have planned this winter. (UPDATE)) We had Matt back to paint most of the upstairs and half the downstairs of our home. Fantastic! Quality work, a real professional who uses quality materials. My best recommendation? We will have him back to paint the cellar rooms in the coming weeks.

Matt is the epitome of a professional. He was extremely punctual and was easy to communicate with. My wife and I had picked out a dark grey for our house and Matt was concerned about it being too dark and offered some suggestions. We ended up using a color he had suggested and it looks amazing! Matt did everything he stated he would including fixing issues that were previously there. I cannot say enough about how pleased we were with the job he did. I would HIGHLY recommend Matt to anyone as his prices are very competitive and since he does it all himself it is very easy to communicate with. He was exceptionally clean and precise with his work and again I cannot recommend him enough!

Matt did a fantastic job on our story-and-a-half house. We had a ton of questions, were looking for advice, and were very particular on how we wanted our house painted, and Matt covered all those! He was the only painter we talked to (and why we subsequently chose him) that really cared about his craft. He wasn't looking to just throw paint on the walls, make some money and run. He is knowledgeable and takes pride in his work...something that is usually sorely lacking in this world. Our house has a lot of detail that required a lot of hand work and Matt did a fantastic job on it. I've already recommended him to many people and would use him again anytime.
