Overall, I am happy with the service that I received from Sharper Impressions. I had some interior painting that needed to be done. Most of the interior painting I did myself, but there were some higher areas that I did not feel comfortable with doing; hence, I contacted Sharper Impressions to complete the work. Zack completed the estimate in a timely manner. The estimate was very reasonable, so we decided to move forward. We scheduled a time for approximately a week after the estimate was taken. On the day of the job, the painters showed up right on time and worked diligently throughout the day to complete the job. They were respectful of my house and did a great job with cleaning up. As far as the outcome, I am about 90% happy. The only complaint that I have was a spot (about 2'x2') on one of the painted ceilings (which was painted a flat white) had some brown showing through it due to the painter putting some mud down to even out the surface. The painters did not use a sufficient number of coats to hide the brown color from the mud, so it resembles a water/leak spot now. I contacted another employee to have the painters come back to repaint that spot on the ceilings. The employee (Brock) said he would contact the painters to have them come back out, but did not call me back. Honestly, I may just take care of it myself, as it is probably not worth the effort to coordinate the painters to come back out. Overall, I am happy with the service and would recommend. Edit: After posting this review, Sharper Impressions contacted me and corrected the issue--5/5.

I can’t say enough great things! This company came out on a Thursday, Tim gave me my quote, extremely nice and professional. Plus, very reasonably priced. Sharper impressions was $700 less than another quote I got for the same amount of work. The quote was done on a Thursday and the painting was done by the next week. The painter did a fantastic job! 1) nail pops were not done as promised and reminded 2) paint with color drippings on white crown molding 3) paid to have base boards painted and our 16 year old paint was used when it was told that they just wanted to use it to match the color so of course the coverage is bad that is if they decided to paint the base boards and was charged for my own paint. 4) was not told I would have no access to my kitchen for 2 days 5) ceilings were painted, and there is an area that is cracked and looks like a chunk is ready to fall off 6) air return vent was painted the color of the kitchen, light switch plates were not removed either... 6) was to get a quote to add the master bedroom to the price and have it painted but that never happened. Was rushed from the time they showed up

I would not recommend anyone use this company. We had an awful experience. We had to have them come back twice to fix and finish things that were not finished or not done correctly. They stripped the screws on our curtain rod holders and even broke one of the hooks so we can’t even put the rods back up or take them down. They also scratched all of our face plates, which they offered a whole $50 to replace when we complained about it. They used the wrong paint on our ceiling in spots so now we grey paint on the ceiling and it looks awful. I didn’t feel that the owner or the project manager were very professional in handling fixing the problems with our project. They seemed like it was an inconvenience and even asked us to pay them before the project was completed. Just avoid hiring them and save yourself the hassle and frustration.

I checked on the internet for exterior painters and Sharper Impressions Painting Co. was listed so I called for an estimate. We set up an appointment and the sales person was on time, knowledgeable, and we felt trustworthy so we contracted with them. Everyone we dealt with in this company was great, from the office person to the painter. The painter was very good and did an excellent job. He was on time, worked consistently, and always cleaned up afterward. You would never know he was here. We are so pleased with how nice our house looks, have had a lot of compliments about it and would recommend this company to anyone. We would definitely use them again if needed.

Zach was easy to work with. He was punctual and provided a competitive quote compared to the other quotes we received. During our walkthrough, we pointed out areas that had issues after the paint job was completed, and he had the painters address our issues. There were a few issues with things not being returned back to their original location by the paint crew after they were done (e.g. the hose was moved and connected to the faucet outside but was never disconnected once they were done using it and the temperatures were getting cold, our patio furniture was not put back in place, the fence hook was broken - it was ok last time I checked it before the painters arrived). There was a bit of a misunderstanding by the paint crew on the request to paint the window trims a different color but Zach helped get this taken care of. The paint crew worked fast and completed our paint job on time. Our house looks great now. Thanks for the hard work.

Our project was to paint the trim on our house and the fence in the backyard. Sharper Impressions sent a team of four painters and completed the job in one day. Prior to their arrival Sharper Impressions sent a guy out to power wash the house before they painted it. The team lead by Marshall Hall was extremely professional and worked straight through the day to complete the job in one day. They actually applied two coats of paint on all surfaces, repaired three sections of wood trim, removed and painted all downspouts. The house and fence look amazing.

Absolutely terrible experience, do NOT recommend using this company in the least. Our experience started off great with Zach coming out to give us an estimate that was lower than competitors, along with being very professional and helpful. Then we spent over a week trying to get them to schedule an appointment to actually come out and stain our deck, constantly sending e-mails and calling their phone line with no answer. Finally they scheduled for a Monday which I took off to meet them and make sure everything went smooth... Until late that afternoon I get a text saying they won't be there that day but they'll definitely be out Tuesday. So we wait that day too.... Only I finally give up that evening and text them myself only to hear that they couldn't get to us for another week. We wanted to give them another chance so we agreed to stay home again the next Monday and they'd be out "first thing in the morning". Two guys in filthy clothes finally pulled up speaking almost no English, had to borrow a hose from us since they didn't have one, and proceeded to "powerwash" our deck to prepare it for staining. And by powerwash I mean they blew all of the dirt and leaves caught under the deck onto the top and left it, meaning I had to clean up the mess on the deck they were supposed to be cleaning. They promised to be back the NEXT day to do the actual staining so we actually stuck around one more day (today). No call, no text, and no painters. On the bright side, I contacted Zach and he did cancel the order for us so that was a relief. But aside from him this was the most unprofessional experience I've ever had with a company. I know they're going through staffing changes but this was just silly and I wish I could get back the four days waiting at home we wasted. Long story short: Doesn't communicate, doesn't show up, and doesn't seem to understand how to do their job. Minus one employee as an exception. Update: After cancelling the order my fiance was woken up the morning after by the sub-contractors already staining our deck anyway. I had to call Sharper Impressions and threaten legal action and take off work (again) to oversee them sanding off the painting they did without letting anyone know they were starting (and without permission). Unbelievable.

I got several bids and they were not the cheapest but they were prompt, attentive to what I needed done. They pointed out areas of concerns and explained their process thoroughly. Once we said yes, we had a paint consultant out who was also helpful and great with suggestions. When the work began, they were on time, efficient, courteous and respectful. They power washed, replaced wood where needed, put up new trim and caulked everything up. Once they started to paint, they did an outstanding job. No overspray on windows or shingles or no drops on concrete. They were quick on cleanup and left no mess. Once they completed all of this, we had a walk around with the project manager and the painter and the project manager actually pointed out a couple of things I didn't catch. They had those touched up in a jiffy and then they presented me with the final invoice, which to my surprise was less than the estimate, which was based on wood replacement. I can't say enough about the job they did. I would highly recommend them to anyone!

To say we were pleased with Sharper Impressions Painting of Kansas City, LLC would be an understatement! We had many quotes, some higher some lower, but must in the same price range as Sharper. One reason we picked Sharper Impressions Painting over the others was our first contact with Zach, as he not only addressed issues/concerns we had, he brought up a few trouble areas we missed. We were also very happy to have the chance to work with a color consultant, Emily, who was a big help and so nice. Painting a room is one thing; mistakes can be redone with more ease than having to repaint a whole house! We had ordered outside lights which Sharper Impressions Painting put up for us, but ran into another problem do to the size of the base of the lights were larger than the wood blocks on our home. Zach and Paul were there with solutions! The two who came did the painting, wood rot repair, lights and so on were not just very kind, but extremely professional and detailed about their work. Sharper Impressions Painting was great to work with, did a great job and we would call them again if in need!

We hired Sharper Impressions Painting to paint the exterior trim and stain our deck. Definitely a stark contrast when compared to the last painting company we hired (College Painters). The entire experience, from quoting to cleanup, was perfect. Given that it's spring, we have lots of plants popping up around the house. We requested that they be extra careful to not step on any of them, and not a single plant was damaged. Our deck needed staining on the handrails, and fresh paint on the deck and lattice. There wasn't a single drop of paint on the handrails...nice work! In closing, I can't recommend Sharper Impressions Painting enough. Many thanks to them for refreshing the look of our house and deck!

Took 3 times as long as promised. My husband overheard the boss tell one of the workers to hurry as other customers were threatening to cancel. Never again.

Sharper Impressions did a whole house paint with wood rot remediation. I spoke with 5 different companies before choosing Sharper Impressions. They were not the highest bid, but they also were not the cheapest. I told the sales guy that I needed all of the wood rot repaired. After the paint job was complete, I found 2 areas of wood rot that were NOT repaired. I was told those areas were not in the bid. I agreed with the project manager about them not being in the bid, but explained to him that I needed them fixed even if it meant the original estimate would change. Brock took care of it. He had his crew return and fix my two areas of concern. Unfortunately, this resulted in rushed work. So on the final walk through, I had to point out areas that were completed sloppily (i.e., boards that were not caulked, gaps between the board and the house, etc.) I hated having to point out the sloppy work. The paint looks amazing and then there were these final areas that stood out because they were rushed. The customer service and clean up leave A LOT to be desired. Maybe I am wrong, but I am pretty sure it is part of the contract to replace anything that was moved and pick up all the trash from the job. Lastly, they do not tell you until it is time to pay that they will charge you a 3% service fee for using a credit card. I was specifically told in order to avoid the service fee to "write a check". When budgeting for a job this big, the majority of folks do not have the monetary flexibility to change from a credit card payment to a check. I asked if they had any type of veterans discount (trying to off-set the fee) and the same service representative said she had no idea and there was no one to ask.
