We had 2 jobs performed by Donovan's Painting. The first was a bathroom that needed some drywall repairs (nail pops and ceiling separation) prior to painting. The repairs and painting were completed and looked great. However in less than two weeks the nails popped again and the ceiling area separated. Craig looked at it and said he would have it taken care of. He did eventually follow up and it looks great (again)! The second job was a 2 day affair painting ceiling, posts and railings of our large front porch. This was professionally painted and looks wonderful. The painters are very neat, covering up areas to avoid paint spatter and meticulously cleaning up afterwards.

Candidly, if I could give zero stars I would. This experience was an utter disaster from the very beginning. Underbid and overcharged by an insensitive and belligerent owner. The poor quality of workmanship will need to be done over. Worst home improvement experience ever. Update: You must have mad employees as well as customers. I'm not sure if you are able to read, but you know who I am sir and you know the terrible work you performed on my home.

They ran a bit late once but called 15 minutes before their scheduled time and were about 5 minutes late other than that they came right on time and worked steadily throughout the day. I have read the reviews here, and I see that there is quite a difference of opinion on the quality of services by Donovan’s Painting. I recently contracted Craig Punte’s company and as stated within one of the reviews “it was an utter disaster from the very beginning”. Also in the review was that the owner is insensitive and belligerent. I must say I agree, as I was misinformed, insulted, lied to, and after Craig’s staff came back to re-repair portions of the work, he no showed after his secretary stated that “he would be personally on site”. I made a brief comment about my experience on a local social network in Mt. Airy and was threatened with retaliation if I did not remove it. I have since reported his actions and asked for a partial refund, as after Donovan’s Painting was at my home, my husband re-finished portions of the work that were not completed properly. I have not received a response, or refund. Need I say, I recommend that you go to any other company for your painting needs.

We had our 1st floor and foyer area done by Donavan’s Painting. Craig came over our house for a thorough estimate and we picked him after meeting with four different painters. Craig gave us three different estimates as we decided what we wanted painted and was paitient with us the whole time with our back and forth. After we agreed to having Craig he accomadated us even further as he came earlier so we could get our first floor set up and get rid of all our boxes in the garage. The painters did everything in two days and cleaned everything up. My wife is a bit on the particular side and the paint job made her smile. We were both very satisfied in the end and the results were showing after the first day. If I need paint jobs in the future we will use Donavan’s painting.

Knowing that painting jobs can be very subjective as far as final results are concerned, they have surpassed my expectations every time, and I can be somewhat picky. Regardless of the negative review and upon meeting Craig for an estimate, my girlfriend has decided to move forward with Donovan’s Painting. And I will continue to work with Craig in the near future.
