I think that you will enjoy meeting Chris Day and putting him on the case there. I have been glad for his handsome and reliable work here numerous times over the past 10 years.
I am continually pleased with Chris Day’s results on both the interior and exterior, including: wallpaper removal; drywall repair; staining new oak steps and railings; power washing the exterior; painting clapboard siding; painting doors and windows; sealing concrete patios; and staining three decks. My house is like the San Francisco Bay Bridge, when I get to the end, it's time to start painting at the beginning again. Over the past 9 years, he has done a great job three times power washing the complete exterior of the three-story home in preparation for painting, deck staining and concrete sealing. Chris is responsive to your requests and his workers are responsible. We are security conscious and I am comfortable having his crew in my house. Chris worked hard to mix a stain product to match the existing color of our interior oak steps/railing and exterior porch boards.
At a Sherwin Williams consultant's advice, we tried a decorator touch with 25% of the wall color tint added to the normal flat white ceiling paint. It worked well! For a child's bedroom that has handsome brown wood trim, we used a cheerful, green, outdoorsy wall color with a 9" sky blue border at the top of the wall to suggest the feeling of being outdoors in a greenspace below a blue sky. The 25% blue tint in the ceiling paint continues the sky effect subtly. It was a relief to be rid of the former wallpaper borders. The painted border does make the tall wall, with the 9-foot ceilings, more interesting. For the child's bathroom, we used the sky-blue color on the wall (this time to suggest water) with a border of the same yellow from our sunroom (to suggest a sunny day) and 25% of that same yellow in the ceiling paint. The hint of yellow in the ceiling continues the effect of being outdoors on the water on a sunny day well. Chris did a wonderful job with this detailed project!
Best wishes on your own projects.
