Worst contractor I've hired. Two words to describe my experience of their work: sloppy and sneaky; one sentence to elaborate it: watch to make sure they do the work! They’ll find any possible way to avoid doing the job properly. You'll see their quote being pricer than other contractors, and they attached five star review sheets from Angie's list. Don't trust those reviews, and their price does not meet quality. Don't trust what's included in the contract, because they don't read it or follow it. We hired them recently for our exterior painting and carpentry. Here's a comparison of what they did, compared to what was on the contract: "Two coats primer before all painting" -A majority of shingles were primed, but they skipped priming the front porch, the stairs, the railings, or around the windows. “four doors” -Painted three?? Even after we pointed this out that there were four doors, they still managed to skip one. "clean the site every day before leaving" -Not including the ladders and paint buckets they stored there, there were used plastic bottles, paint chips all over the place, used nails in the driveway and in my lawn. Make sure to check their work before paying them. They took many shortcuts that we only noticed after they left, and after we paid them. We felt like we had to constantly be supervising them, otherwise they would not complete the work correctly. They never completed the items listed on our contract, and have ignored our emails/calls. Vision is FANTASTIC. Here’s the story: My husband and I had several estimates prepared for deck staining and house painting. We had pretty much decided to hold off on the house for a year and go with the deck job when the last estimator, with Vision Painting, showed up to take a look at the job. I’m not sure exactly what it was about the estimate but it was somehow different in terms of what they said and how closely they examined my house. After the estimator left, I ended up phoning the owner, to get more info on the job. After explaining my concerns at great length, during which time he allowed me to speak completely uninterrupted, he patiently explained options and assured me that we would be happy with their work. This was a big project and he said up front that he would not take a dime from us until we were satisfied, meaning he buys supplies and does all the work before being paid. Unheard of these days. I had already read several great reviews and so we just decided to go with it. A few days later, as planned, Daniel came out to introduce himself and start working. Literally every single thing the owner said, and every single thing Daniel said, they actually did. ALWAYS on time, ALWAYS polite and respectful. Finished exactly as expected. Along the way offered tips and ideas. They even ended up putting a new sliding glass door in (SUPERB CARPENTER) which we were going to do on the side. They picked it up at Lowe’s for me and put it in one morning and I LOVE IT. The proof is in the pudding, as they say. My house looks FABULOUS. The paint colors are dead on perfect. The trim work is detailed and looks outstanding. The deck...I’m in love with it. I cannot say enough good things about this company!! We paid a little more than we could have but, honestly, the level of detail paired with the courteous dealings and honesty was more than worth it. They are standing behind this job, and I have the paperwork to prove it. You won’t be sorry when you go with these guys.
