So the line is super long but you're in shade, so it's not so bad. There's plenty of parking so that's not bad either. The garlic shrimp is good, but honestly there are other places with good garlic shrimp and shorter lines. The hot and spicy is kind of over the top spicy. I like spicy but this was hot enough that it made the rest of the flavors disappear, order the garlic shrimp and ask for a cup of the hot sauce on the side.

Awesome! One of these experiences you must have on Oahu. I would skip the smoothy truck. And get the garlic butter shrimp from Giovanni. Smoothy truck uses some artificial flavors. There is also bbq corn, chicken, salad, and other selections on other trucks. Dresses and Tees, and other favorites are cheaper here than waikiki also.

Shrimp was delicous. I loved all the flavors: garlic, lemon, and spicy - and it was very spicy, just like I like it. It was also located next to a bunch of other cool food trucks and shops. Great stop.

Garlic scampi plate was excellent. Tasty and cooked just right. However, shrimp with lemon butter was bland & spicy shrimp was too hot and spicy, even for Korean visitors traveling with us. Stopped by on rainy day and adjacent pavilion provided minimum shelter. Still had to stand in rain to order and pick up items.

Whatever you do on the North Shore of Oahu, you must go to Giovanni’s. The shrimp is just... well you have to try it. Don’t expect a fancy restaurant, the word ‘shack’ is literally what it is!

The quality and origin of the shrimp is not particularly known, but the garlic-style preparation is always memorable and good. The crowd/line management isn't too excellent as well as the availability of parking during peak hours. Having many people in your group can be effective in finding parking, reserving a seating area, ordering, etc.

Very disappointed, prawns were tough and underwhelming. My friend was sick that night. Ate at Fumi's 3 days earlier and prawns were fresh and delicious. Visited Giovanni's because of the hype... That's all it is hype.

Iconic spot in Oahu. Fried garlic shrimp is the way to go. So yummy. Normally there is a big waiting list. Parking in the area can be challenging. Limited sitting. Even though it might seem like being in a zoo, once you try the shrimps you forget almost every problem in your life.

Another "must visit" when I am on Oahu is the north shore. In addition to the possibility of seeing the sea turtles at Turtle Beach, the scenic drive along the shore is breath taking. On the way, we always stop for a visit at the Macadamia Farm. The gardens are beautiful and the demonstrations by the locals is wonderful. Also, do not miss the delicious shrimp at Giovanni's Shrimp truck. They are amazing!

Great local vibe, the shrimp is good (mega garlicky, but I love that) if a little expensive. The local market has plenty of other options if someone doesn't like shrimp. The shops sell touristy knickknacks, but it's worth a short stop here on your way through the north shore.

Their garlic shrimp dinners are worth the trip from anywhere on Oahu! Two scoops of rice, a lemon wedge, and about 10-12 medium sized shrimp swimming in a garlicky sauce. This is my idea of heaven.

Nothing beats local Kahuku garlic butter shrimp and rice. It's pricey.. until you realize how good the food is. This place along with other food trucks in the area are a must! Don't forget to stop at the fruit stands along the way.

Furthest away from Honolulu but worth taking a drive just to see the surfing beaches and plantations. Suggest going all the way to the end of rt930 which dead ends at the point and wild life preserve. Fantastic view of the north shore.

North Shore Oahu is a place you must visit if you are in Hawaii. Visit Haleiwa town for a relaxing walk, visit beautiful art galleries, stop and try the food at the food trucks. Spend a day on the beach in summer time, and Winter time you can see amazing big waves and surf competitions. Take a hike to some beautiful ocean vistas.
