I recently hired Smallwood and Associates to paint the interior walls and trim of my entire home. Daryl was professional, knowledgeable, and communicated well with me from the time he came to first look at the house through completion of the project. He was always easy to contact if I needed to discuss something with him, as I made some changes as the project progressed. His estimate was highly competitive with the two other estimates I received. I did add on some additional work after the protect started, and Daryl’s prices for the additional work were very reasonable and fair. I don’t commonly hire painters as I lean towards being very meticulous preferring to do my own painting. The quality that Daryl’s crew delivered was excellent. Specifically, I had previously removed wallpaper from walls that were likely never primed or painted. The removal of the paper caused severe damage to the drywall. I had actually considered having new drywall put up in those rooms. The crew skimcoated and painted the bathroom walls, and now you would never know those walls were damaged. Very impressive work! Planning on hiring Daryl again for future painting/construction projects.

The complete renovation of the kitchen helped sell my home in two days and I hired him to get my new home move-in ready. When specialty work is required he discusses with you in advance and if something won't work like you think he gives you the benefit of his experience. His work is high quality and finished on time.

I met Daryl Smallwood 16 years ago when we hired him to paint the exterior of our house. Then in 2018 we decided to do a major interior remodel before listing our 1993 home for sale. I contacted Daryl to get a bid for the interior painting and wallpaper removal and I mentioned my other needs hoping he might recommend someone. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that Daryl is no longer just a painting contractor but is now more of a general contractor as he took care of all my needs. Not only did he paint my entire interior (including kitchen and bathroom cabinets), he also handled all my other projects, either with his crew or with specialized trade people he works with. Having him oversee all the work and coordinate the workers made this major remodel so much easier. The additional work he did for me included plumbing, electrical, roof repairs, chimney repair, gutter replacement, deck repairs, flagstone porch repair, hardwood floor install/sand/finish and tile work. Daryl is very responsive, respectful and professional. He does excellent work at a fair price and I highly recommend him.
