Folks showed up on time, worked hard, and finished it in a week on schedule. They did a remarkable job scraping and pressure washing and preparing the house for the job to improve our paint job from a poor one by a DIFFERENT company. Five Star Painting was top notch! We've hired different painting companies throughout the years, and Five Star was by far the most professional company we've ever worked with. We had a fairly large job (entire downstairs, stairwell, upstairs hallway, a bedroom, and all trim/doors.) The crew meticulously prepped and painted everything beautifully. They took time to go over everything before we got started, answer my questions, and if any questions came up along the way, they stopped to ask - all of which I appreciated. They also worked cleanly, storing their gear each night and completely vacuuming and sweeping at the end of the job. Good customer service and quality work. I wish they had cleaned up better. We had 5 star paint almost the whole inside of our house. Definitely spend a day or 2 walking around your house before they do the final touch ups. We did this just because of our schedule, but found a few areas that we missed the first walk through. They happily fixed every area we pointed out. I think they were a little rushed at the end, because the last room and the trim needed the most touch ups - looked like some areas only got 1 coat. They did seem happy to fix it all. Clean up: it was a big job with several areas of repair work and they put down paper over all the floors. But there was white dust under everything that didn't move - couches, tables, beds; and on the kitchen counters. There was also paint on some door knobs and outlets (mostly in the rooms they did last). They were so nice, they probably would have cleaned more if I asked. But I didn't want to wait and we were ready to have our house back.

The paint crew was very thorough and was highly motivated to do the work right the first time. They spent a good bit of time looking for touch-ups when they finished and acted right away when we pointed out a spot that had been missed. Even after they had cleaned up almost of all of the brushes and tools, they offered to paint a door on the storage shed for us. Very professional and the house looks great!

Dan & Team literally TRANSFORMED our house, both inside and out. We hired them to paint all the interior walls (from hideous orange to a beautiful neutral gray color), and then also totally repaint the entire exterior of our brick home. Our home was orange/brown brick & trim, and they painted all the brick & trim white, and all the shutters and doors gray. They hired the best crew who were meticulous about prepping, taping, and protecting the un-painted areas both inside and out. The crew was thorough and did an excellent job on the actual paint, and they were also super fast. They did the ENTIRE interior in 2 days, and the entire exterior in 4 days - AMAZING! They are also great about cleaning up the mess and leaving the house & property as clean as they found it before they showed up. I recommend Five Star Painting to everyone!

We carefully considered about five different painting contractors when we were needing to repaint the exterior of our home. A couple were a little cheaper, and the other 2 were right in line with 5 Star. What set 5 Star apart was that they took it as a personal source of pride that our home looked amazing. They kept at it until it was right. Dan the owner would always come by during the different phases of the project and we would walk around and review were we were and what needed to be done and by when. About 8 months later, our house got struck by lighting and blew the siding off of the house. There was no question who to call to repair the damage. 5 Star came out and repaired the damage as good as new. No question moving forward when it comes to repairs or any painting exterior or interior, they are our guys.

5 Star painted parts of the inside of my house including kitchen cabinets and all of my exterior. It was a pleasant experience from start to finish. Their communication is excellent, arrive when they say, provide clear estimates and time frames, and always keep in touch. Their cost was quite reasonable especially compared to some of the local big name exterior contractors. Even though we had issues with paint coverage and/or color on different parts of the project and had to add some work (second coats and repaint) at additional cost, they were clear on the issues and reasonable on the changes.

Fast, professional, and excellent service. When we were planning ahead we called Five Start for an estimate (free) and then decided to wait a year to actually paint. There was no pressure from the sales team, just a polite check in twice to see if our timing had changed. When we did schedule their team leapt into action. They got the colors right, their secondary work (minor repairs) was excellents, and they did a thorough job quickly. On the walkaround the project manager noticed two errors we didn't (bad brushwork in one area and a seam that was not fully filled in with paint)and had them fixed immediately. We recommend them highly to anyone in the area.

From my initial meeting with Dan and discussion of the project, I had a very good feeling about having Five Star complete the project. Dan was attentive to the needs of the home. He was clear and concise in answering my questions. He was professional and very communicative about details of the process and very encouraging in working out the best possible scheduling for the project. Other estimates that I received were in line with or in excess of Dan's estimate. But none of the other 3 people providing an estimate left me with the confidence that Dan had secured in having his company do the work. After the schedule was set, the crew was prompt on site for the first day and worked diligently to complete the work on schedule. I cannot say enough about the crew leader on site and his communication, clarity and concern for my project. After meeting him the first day, I had the same confidence in him that I had after meeting with Dan. I was never disappointed. I can say that after the first day prep work, the house looked better. After the second day of work, the house looked even BETTER. When the work was concluded, it was obvious that an old home had been brought back to life. The work was done with pride taken in a service and product by a crew that really does seem to care about that aspect of their work. From selection of color to add-on work needed as discovered along the way, I was always provided with information and asked for input. Excellent job. I recommend Five Star Painting. That being said, they came back two more times and fixed the issues and made sure I was completely happy and that it was perfect. They painted every ceiling and every wall, and every closet's interior on all 3 levels. It was a big job. Mud work and 3 coats needed to cover some dark walls. I knew we chose the right painters as the whole 1st day the entire 3 man crew did nothing but through prep. Covering all flooring, stairs railings, cabinets, countertops, appliances, bathtubs, tile, etc. It was day 2 before anyone touched any paint. And they cleaned up very completely at the end, staying extra hours with me to make sure all was clean and shined for our listing photos the next morning. My house is about 10 years old and had the original builder's paint on it with Hardiplank siding. The paint was faded, and I also had a lot of cracked siding. The painters left the area around my house a mess (paint spills, trash, etc), and left furniture, trash, and things strewn about my yard. The project manager never showed up at pre-scheduled times. The PM had to return several times and was not helpful in resolving the issues I had after painting was complete, and instead continuously told me I was wrong about everything. The head office was more helpful and in the end made it right, but there is a clear disconnection between the turn-key service they are selling and what the PM thinks that they are selling. Very unsatisfied with the front end customer service I received. Too much of a headache and won't be recommending Five Star to any friends or neighbors.

In the past year, I had the exterior and interior of my house painted by Five Star Painting. First of all the interior painters were fantastic the were customer oriented and took their time and made sure I was happy with the results. The painting inside looks like a million bucks so they get a true five star job. I cannot say enough good things about the interior painters at this company. The exterior crew was not as customer oriented. They did an acceptable job but when I asked about things that looked wrong they got little to no attention. I did sign off on their work but I cannot rate them as five star. Best I can do is 3 stars for the full exterior painting work. They were always in a hurry and seemed to hold the customer in very low esteem. If you had a question they did their best to make any excuse that would get them out of making it right. So if you are having interior work done I say they have some fantastic painters for that. As far as their 2 year warranty, I asked about some problems with the exterior work and never got a call back so another reason not to rate them fully five stars.
