We recently bought a home that needed a lot of TLC. We interviewed several paint companies to completely paint the exterior. Five Star Painting, not only came in with the best price, but the best customer service. Mark Averett gave a fair and accurate quote and kept every promise. He even went beyond what he promised. The paint team, led by Jorge, was friendly and courteous, working very hard to totally transform the house. Every our HOA was impressed! And our neighbors love us for the extra care that was put into beautifying our home and neighborhood. We were so happy with their work on the exterior, that we had them do some interior painting as well. We also had them do a total renovation of our back porch, with customized screening and lattice-work trim. They have responded quickly to any question and concern and again, have gone way beyond the call of duty to make sure that we were totally satisfied at every stage of the process. Quick, economical and excellent. Five Star Painting gets a Five Star Rating!

I can't explain how great these guys were! We're renovating our whole house, and have had some run-ins with bad contractors, but Five Star was such a breath of fresh air. Their communication was excellent, and they really wanted to work with us and be flexible within our budget. We had a large ceiling painted and some trim, and it looks great. Just used this company to paint my entire house, except the basement. Their prices are quite competitive (I got higher estimates) but their workmanship was incredible! It's a real mom and pop shop, which I like because one of the owners stopped by each day. The head painter Walter was FANTASTIC. Before he moved on, he always had me check to see if everything was ok. He was very detail oriented. Very customer oriented. And the crew was CLEAN. You don't realize how important that is until they are gone, and there is minimal dust and clean up. Highly recommend

We had to schedule an urgent painting project prior to moving in with a cascade of services to follow. Mark from 5 Star Painting came out to estimate the work. After finding a crew, all the work was finished in 3 days during the Thanksgiving break. The work was excellently done with no mess ensuring a clean finish daily. There was a room that got missed during the estimate since we were going by section in various rooms. Mark co-ordinated with the same crew, got them on-site with additonal paint to get it done for me as a courtesy since we planned to move in next day. All done which gives a nice fresh appeal getting the house move in ready. I would give 10 stars to 5 Star Painting if I could.

I am so disappointed with Five Star Painting. Mark, the owner of this franchise, came out to my home the first week of October to look at what I needed. A couple of days later he emailed over an estimate for the work which involved pressure washing my home, porches, decks and painting my front porch which he said could be completed in one day. During his initial visit to my home, he told me their schedule was pretty light and they could get to me the following week sometime, meaning one day during the week Oct 7th-14th. I signed the contract on October 7th after it was emailed over during the weekend. After a day or two I heard from Diann who schedules the work. I was disappointed when she said they couldn't get to me that week as Mark had estimated and it would be the following week. I reminded her that I had told Mark I had to have the work completed by the 18th due to other commitments the following week. She scheduled my job for the following week on Tuesday, May 15th. Their project manager, Randy was scheduled to come out on Monday, the day before. On Monday Randy came out, informed me that they were only going to put one guy on my job so it would take at least 2 days. I again reminded him the work had to be completed by the 18th, 19th at the latest. During the discussion, he expressed concern over painting the columns on my porch which have peeling paint that would need to be either stripped or sanded down. He said that if they just sanded and painted them, the columns would probably start peeling and bubbling 4-5 months later. He thought they should be stripped completely. I asked him why Mark had not told me this and he said because he doesn't know that kind of thing. I asked if Mark had ever been a painter or had done any painting and he said, No. So the person that came to my home to evaluate the work and give me an estimate has never been a painter!!! The day before my job was supposed to start, Five Star Painting sent out someone knowledgeable about painting who frankly didn't sound like he wanted the job once he saw it. He looked unhappy about the prospect of stripping the four columns on the front porch. The work was supposed to start the following day and I had a gut feeling they weren't going to show up so I texted them the night before asking when they would arrive. Randy texted me the following morning saying they couldn't get to my job that week after all, so they would do it later when my schedule opened back up. This company is so unprofessional. I've never even heard back from Mark at all. What I think happened is they sent out Mark who apparently has never done any painting per his project manager, so he didn't know enough to realize the columns would require extra work. I'm guessing that once Randy told them this, they probably no longer wanted the job for the price they had quoted so they just blew me off stating they would have to come out later. I had already allowed them to move my job out a week beyond when I was initially told by Mark that they could start and now they weren't even showing up on the scheduled start date. I texted back this: "No, this is not okay. It's not okay to tell a customer the day that you're supposed to show up on her job that you're not going to be there." I told them I would find someone else and to cancel the job. I'm so disappointed in Five Star Painting and would not recommend them to anyone!

They did more than we expected on both projects and completed them in a timely fashion with minimal imposition (a huge relief with three little ones in the mix). Their pricing was also very competitive to other quotes we received. I highly recommend them and plan to use them the next time we have a need.

They went the extra mile with repairing damaged wood before they painted. Sure there were added costs for this service but it sure beat me getting on a ladder to do it myself. I would highly recommend FSP! They treat you like family. We recently had our entire exterior painted of our east cobb house. They did a fabulous job. However, as time passed I began to notice that our brand new deck railings were beginning to look horrible. I did not know if it was me being picky, or faulty product. When I contacted FSP and they assessed the situation-the fully corrected the problem by pressure washing, sanding and repainted the railings at no cost to me! FSP decided to use a different product and the finished product is beautiful. Please consider using FSP. You will not be disappointed!

When you schedule a free quote from a company you do not expect the owner to be the one to show up at your door. Mark definitely shook that expectation when he showed up at exactly the appointed time. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and very direct. It became very clear there would be no surprises through the process. Next, on the day the painting began he met me again and introduced me to the job foreman. He covered all of the bases and it was completely painless. The foreman expected the job to take four days and it was completed in three! The work was top notch and I could find no defects at all! All in all the interior of my house looks stunning thanks to Mark and his team!

Five Star Painting is a five star company. If I only could choose one sentence to describe the company I would say they are clean, on time, on budget and pay intense attention to detail. Five Star first gave me a free estimate and then stayed on budget. They used top quality Sherwin Williams deck stain and left my home with only an excellent stain job on my deck behind. There were a few small spots that were missed by the painters that I could have easily touched up by myself but Diann told me that Five Star would take care of those small misses because with Five Star, the customer gets a paint job that includes touch ups and she didn’t want me to pick up a brush. The quote was very no nonsense and Mark worked with us to figure out what would fit into our budget. Diann was so helpful with talking about colors and organizing the painting crew. The painters finished the job much faster than we expected and did excellent work. What really stood out to me was the final walkthrough. I was probably more picky than most about little imperfections, and they never made me feel like I was asking for too much. I walked through the whole space and noted anything that looked irregular and they fixed it on the spot. It was exceptional service. I've had Mark Averett come to my home with his painting team twice now and have never regretted it. Five Star Painting prices are reasonable and they never charge you for something that you don’t need. For example, they painted my upstairs master bedroom which was completely white. Given there was not a strong color on the walls to begin with, they suggested that I do one coat to start out with (the cheaper option) instead of two. Afterward we both assessed if the paint job was to standard. Turns out it was and they saved me a lot of money. They could have easily said I needed a second coat regardless and charged me a higher price. Their conservative, customer centered approach made all the difference. And the work was excellent as well. The painting team came into my home, taped and moved my furniture; put everything back where they found it undamaged, and were very professional and friendly. The lines were clean and they even made minor repairs to wall blemishes so that the paint job would look even better! My thanks to Jorge and his team for the great job. I highly recommend FiveStar painting and as far as I am concerned, they will always be my first call for future paint jobs in my home

The team was very engaged from the onset. My wife wanted to review color options for the house and Diann connected her with a specialist at Sherwin Williams to discuss the possibilities. The end result is a total remake of the outside of our house and we love it! The project was delayed by rain; however, once the sun started to shine, the 5Star team was on it. They were able to complete the job before Thanksgiving so that we could focus on entertaining friends and family. The price for the service was reasonable considering the quality of work provided.
