Move on to another contractor and save yourself frustration! Would never recommend this company to anyone after they painted my house last fall. The sub-contractor they used did the worst job of caulking I've ever seen, huge caulk bands that were glaring, he left the tops of windows and many trim joints un-caulked, paint coverage after initial paint was awful. I had to get on a ladder and mark all the poor quality work with tape, and there was a lot of tape! To their credit, they came back and caulked missing areas, and painted them over. But even now, white caulk joints bleeding through on joints. Rating of one is a nod to that fact that they came back and addressed the situation, otherwise it would be a "Zero Star"

I would recommend Five Star painting to anyone looking for a professional painting job. We had repair work on window sills and brick molding. The did a superb job in completing those repairs. You can't tell the repair work from the original . Overall I couldn't be happier. The work crew and the project manager (Mary Jo) were excellent people to work with.

We had a gentleman come to our house to give us a quote to paint our foyer and one small bedroom. His speech and recommendation list were second to none from others we had come to give estimates. He showed us pictures of what their company called "chuck in a truck" painters vs. what there painters do. According to him, their painters covered all furniture, they placed plastic sheets over doorways into other rooms, and they used the right ladders, and so on. Everything sounded great, so we called that same day to get an appointment and start the painting process. They took our deposit two days later and then it was silence for four days. I called to see what was going on and figure out when our appointment was going to be scheduled, I was told that someone would call me later that day to set the date. Again, two days of silence. I called once again to get an explanation, they told me they were short staffed and apologized for the inconvenience. Trying to be understanding, I told them I wanted to make my appointment now for the upcoming Saturday, it was Thursday. Surprisingly enough they said they could make that happen and I was on the schedule for Saturday! Having taken 9 days to finally get an appointment since I sent over the request for service, we were happy. To my dismay, later that same day I received a call asking if I could change my appointment to Friday instead of Saturday. I obliged and said sure, why not. Being very frustrated with this entire process I called the main office and asked to speak with the owner, Scott Specker, I was told they tried to contact him but he was at a job sight, so he was unable to answer, so they left a voicemail for him and told me that he would contact me later that day. If you can guess, that never happened and I never received a call from him. The day of my appointment finally came, the painter was supposed to be there between 9:30am and 10:30am, I get a call from the project manager at 8:45am saying he is running a little late and they have to change the time between 10:30 and 11:30. At 11:55 one man showed up it an unlabeled white panel van, and told me he was here to paint. He moved all his equipment inside, which was two drop clothes, one ladder and the paint. He then started to paint, roughly throwing the drop clothes over my floor, leaving most of it exposed except where he was standing, not covering the dresser or desk in the bedroom with ANYTHING. None of the things that was promised to me in my estimate meeting, that sets this company apart from ANY other company were done. It was literally a "chuck in a truck" trying to finish the job as fast as possible. The day after the painting was completed we noticed some blemishing and spots on the wall that were not fully painted, we again called the office and they sent out a project manager. We showed her all of the areas that were unacceptable and she told us she would do it right now if we wanted, we said no thank you, and we would like a professional to do it. She also told us it was not cost effective to have someone come out and that they didn't really make any money off of us!!! Who says that to a customer! She then said she would have someone come out the next morning and would give us a call when he's on the way. If you have been following this story, you can guess, that never happened. No call, no painter, nothing. Now here I am left with spotted walls and a disgusted attitude towards the entire process from this company. I would highly highly NOT recommend using Scott and Five Star Painting of Suwanee.

They arrived in a timely manner, covered their feet to maintain a clean floor and immediately covered my floors to ensure there was no damage. I'm sure this company's painting is five stars, but I was never able to find out. My experience started two weeks ago when requested an estimate for some exterior paintwork on my house. Within a few days I received an estimate via email. The price was surprisingly good... Too good apparently. I texted the number in the email to contact me as soon as possible. I received a call the same afternoon and told them I was prepared to get the work done. I was told that they would need to talk to their paint team and would get back to me with a timeframe. Two weeks later, still no calls or emails. I texted the same contact asking when work could start. The response I got was shocking. I was told that the exterior painting jobs had been put on hold for a couple months, basically notifying me they couldn't honor the estimate (which was good for only 15 days) that they had provided. I would happily pay the deposit and have the work completed when weather allows, but this was not an option provided. The timeframe is not my concern, but I feel I had been avoided because they didn't want to complete the work for the price they had given me. In my line of work, I have a contractual obligation to honor any estimate I have written. I guess this is not the case with this business. A message to potential customers: make sure you have a large painting job before contacting this company, since they can't seem to honor estimates written for small ones. A message to the owner: perhaps in the future it would be best to provide estimates that can be fulfilled, or at least advise the customer in advance that weather of other inconveniences will void an estimate, even within the 15 day period. This review will be happily rewritten and changed to five stars should you decide to accept my deposit, and complete the work when the weather permits for the price we had agreed upon.

I called them during the pouring rain. the long gutter accross the back was sagging in the middle. The rain was coming over the front of the gutter in the middle.They waited a week to stop raining and sent a little lady out here with her cell phone to take pictures. No ladder. Took pictures from the ground.. They never called back. A week later we called them. and was told it looked like a roof problem and it would be 80.00 for them to come out and look. Do not hire this co.. We had the same problem with the paint. Had to call them back.The most unprofessial co. I have ever dealled with.,

Five Star Painting did a great job from start to finish. Scott came out to give us our estimate. He was personable and professional. We wanted our ceilings done throughout the house and although his quote was not the lowest, he made us feel comfortable that the job would be done to our satisfaction. Five Star was willing to work around our schedule. The painters arrived, covered all of our furniture and floors and went right to work. One challenge was a very tall and narrow skylight. They tackled it without issue and did a very good job. Kristen reviewed their work when they were through, had them touch up a few areas only she could see and we were done in 6-7 hours. All members of the team had a great attitude and did a very good job. We would definitely use Five Star again for other painting projects.

The name says it all and their slogan is spot on. You really do receive 5 star quality without the 5 star price. From beginning to end, the process was seemingly simple and smooth. I had Scott come out and quote having the exterior of my home painted and the quote he gave me was spot on with what I anticipated spending. When I originally met Scott I was simply trying to get a quote to have and get the job completed in a couple of months. After 3 months I finally contacted Scott back and informed him I was ready to have the work completed. Not only did they honor the quote, but they were also able to fit us in and complete the job quickly. I was shocked at how precise and efficient his crew was at completing the task at hand. They were very meticulous and quick with their work. I was concerned that changing the color would effect the cost of the overall job, but that's where quality paint and labor pays off. I can just tell by looking at the paint up close that they truly use quality material and don't water their paint down. This is a paint job that will last me for years to come, great investment. They also were able to perform some repairs on siding due to rot and drainage issue from a downspout, which he had his guy redirect to flow into another gutter so it wouldn't wash back against the house. Highly impressed with the workmanship and work ethic from Scott and his crew. Kristen ensured the job went smoothly and walked us through every aspect of the job. They even completely cleaned up and hauled away all their trash. If you need painting of any size, I highly recommend Five Star Painting of Suwanee!!!

Our estimator, Barry was absolutely wonderful, but unfortunately our service when downhill from there. It appeared that the painter rushed to get the job finished and left paint everywhere. It was on our floors, counter tops, sink, and refrigerator. There were areas of our baseboards where you could see the paint running down them and areas where you could see the paint bled from the walls onto the baseboards. We were given the excuse from our project manager, Matt, that the painter had just returned from a month long vacation so he was probably just rusty. We were also told the painters would be back tomorrow to finish the job and no one showed up. Additionally, we were told by the project manager we would be compensated “on the house” for this inconvenience and never were. I called to speak to the owner about our poor service and never received a call back. A week later, I was TEXTED by the owner only after he had read my negative review.

The painter worked very fast, and the job was very well done. In fact, I was a bit surprised at how clean the job was given how fast he moved and the painter even improvised to fix a piece of trim on the exterior of the house. The only thing I would recommend to a potential customer is to make sure that the person who does your estimate is the person who will be doing the job. That didn't happen with me and there was some confusion when the project manager showed up. I highly recommend asking for Kristen Vance when you get your estimate, she is very flexible and you can eliminate any miscommunication issues between the initial meeting and the day of the job itself. No complaints at all about the actual work.

I decided to go with Five Star Painting of Suwanee after seeing all the positive reviews here on Google. First, let me say my sales representative, Bob, is outstanding. Great follow-up and a top-notch guy. With that being said, I first started to see issues when I signed the contract and gave them my initial deposit. I gave them my deposit on a Thursday and followed up with them the following Monday - I hadn't heard anything from them. I reached out to Bob who told me he'd get in contact with the scheduler and have her contact me, but that scheduling was normally done on Wednesday(s). I had to call back Thursday (past the day scheduling was supposedly done), and follow up with Bob again to see why no one had contacted me. Turns out my deposit went through but someone made a clerical error and didn't put me in the system. I finally had someone reach out to me at the company and scheduled my appointment. I was told the name of my project manager and that was that. Fast forward to the first day of painting. The painters met me at my door, and were very friendly. He immediately asked what was to be done, and I guess there was a communication issue because he called the project manager and advised what I expected and what was on the contract didn't match. Not sure how that happened, but it got resolved after yet another call to Bob - still no contact from the project manager at this point. During the pressure washing, I noticed water beginning to come in through all the doorways and some of the upper level windows. I was told they didn't use a high-pressure wash and that my weather stripping was bad; not sure the validity here, so I'll just leave it at that. While they were washing the diluted bleach from the house, the leaking got substantially worse. Again, still not sure here. The painters were very friendly and accommodating, helping me clean up, and they called the project manager - who I still hadn't have reach out to me at this point. I was told she was on her way, and when she arrived we went over the water entry. At this point, she asked me to choose the paint color and left. The house was painted the next day, and besides a little overspray no major complaints. Clean-up is another matter - cardboard pieces strewn about my driveway, tape left on windows. The project manager called me to ask when I'd be home and we scheduled an appointment to review the job. She never showed up. No phone call, no messages, nothing - she just didn't show. The paint job itself was good, but dealing with their employees will require pro-activeness on your part.

He brought tools to measure the house, a binder with the company's mission statement, proof of insurance, etc.Mary Jo, the Project Manager met with me to walk around the house and review expectations. She made sure the Lead Painter, Jeffrey was aware of the repair work and areas to be painted. The crew cleaned up every afternoon before they left. Mary Jo walked around the house when the work was completed to make sure I was completely satisfied. She pointed out a couple of areas that needed touched up and made sure the crew completed the work expeditiously. We had a great experience with Five Star! Barry, our estimator, was awesome - no pressure, informative, thorough. We had a few months between initial estimate and actual start of the job requiring Barry to come back out for some additional jobs which he did late on a Saturday afternoon to accommodate our schedule. I did a color consult with Patsy a few days before job start - no charge to me! She was awesome and her knowledge put me on the right track color-wise (I was headed into the "uh-oh" zone). On day one of the job, the Project Manager, Mary Jo, and the crew, headed by Juan, arrived right on time. Mary Jo, Juan and I walked the house and made sure that we were all on the same page. Mary Jo stayed in constant contact, offered services I didn't think about ("do you want us to remove the toilet paper holder and towel rack in the bathroom and repair wall before painting so that you can put up new hardware if you want?" Um - YES!), and made sure the crew stayed on track and we were happy with the project. Juan and his crew did an excellent job and definitely know their craft. I would highly recommend Five Star. The entire process from estimating, to scheduling, to color consult, to project management and job completion was thorough, well thought out and made for a great experience!

5 Star painting just painted 4 rooms and 3 baths. They were quick and accurate. Every room they painted required prime and 2 coats. They also painted the ceilings which required 3 coats. We will have the other 1/2 of the House after some remodeling. We WILL have 5 Star do that additional painting along with the exterior this fall. We highly recommend 5 Star Painting.

We were so impressed with the exterior work that they did for us two years ago and were very happy the same people were still there! The entire 2 story house ceilings and all. First we called and got an excellent visit from Barry for the quote. Barry was very informative and helpful. I highly recommend starting with Barry. We had color concerns, so he sent over Michelle, who came over and recommended modern colors that blended amazingly with our furniture and kitchen, etc. We are so glad with her choices. Our home has a whole new dealing and everything flows so well together. Michelle definitely has a gift with color. She even asked how everything was looking during the painting. The paint team, led by manager Mary Jo, started work quicker than we expected! The crew was absolutely the best. They worked around us and completed my bedroom and office first so that we could continue our lives. The paint job is just beautiful, and the price was really fair. We are kind of picky but Mary Jo was great at getting any concerns corrected. She immediately spotted some things that needed additional work (that we missed during the quote) and got us on track. This was a small interior job and required tall ladders. They seemed grateful for the opportunity. I had barely posted on HOMEADVISORS when I got a call. It was amazing they were able come out within a few days and on a Saturday no less. I thought it particularly good that a Production Manager shows up with the workers to explain the requirements and then comes back to review the work, making sure all problems are resolved before any payment is requested. I had obtained a few bids and this company was a great value. Not the least expensive, but the most professional and still affordable. Don't know how you could go wrong using this company!
