After asking friends for recommendations, we asked Horner Painting and one other company to provide quotes for us on a long-overdue, whole house painting job. Horner came in less expensive and more flexible -- they were willing to paint as soon as a window of warmer weather opened up, instead of waiting until spring as the second company wanted to do. Within a week of deciding to go with them, they found a time frame to paint in, had us pick colors with a Sherwin-Williams specialist, and sent a crew of lovely and efficient painters to our house to power wash and spackle and fill many, many worn boards and pieces of trim. The final paint job looks great and we feel like we're living in a brand new house. They were professional, timely, reasonably priced and did quality work, and we are very satisfied customers.

11/30/2015 Horner painting did an outstanding job painting my living room (15ft ceiling) and entry way (18ft ceiling), they had to cover a tannish/brown color with an ultra pure white color. There was a lot of bleed through but they covered it and it looks amazing---they will be paining the exterior of my house in the Spring, I'll update my review after it's complete. I enjoyed working with Travis and his team (Carlos), they were friendly, professional and provided excellent customer service. I highly recommend their painting services. Eva 5/3/2016 To my surprise, the painting crew arrived earlier than scheduled, which was great! When I got home from work they had already covered the entire house with tape and paper and had started painting the trim. It took them two days to paint the entire house--which is two levels high--and cleaned up afterwards. The house looks amazing, I went with the Duration paint, it's worth it! Horner's crew did a beautiful job and went above and beyond to accommodate the customer. Again, I would highly recommend Horner Painting.

Starting with the bid: I met with almost a dozen painters and Horner, while not the cheapest, and far from the most expensive, gave me an honest bid for honest work. VETS: they give a military discount, of all the bids I received only 2 companies offered that. Rockstars. The entire job was done right as Adam promised. Manuel, the crew chief, power-washed our house, the crew he commanded did an outstanding job in just two days… my whole house painted in two days! I promised Adam I would not be, “that client” but I’m being honest, as a Navy guy, I was detailed oriented and really worked these guys. The exterior of our home was in need of a fresh coat of paint. My wife and I interviewed three Northern Colorado painters. Of the three that we interviewed, Adam Hulme of Horner Painting was very professional, and presented himself and the company in such a way that we had a very good feeling about giving them our business. Prior to painting, there were several pieces of rotting trim around the windows and doors that needed replacing. Adam saw to it that all the wood trim was inspected and some replaced prior to starting the job. Adam also arranged for us to meet with a Sherwin Williams color consultant at our home to select colors. In addition, samples of paint were provided to us to test on the house. Adam's communication and follow-up was exemplary. On the morning the painting was to commence, the crew arrived early and started masking the house. I was amazed at how quickly and carefully they spread the plastic and tape to protect the roof, concrete, and fixtures. To make a long story short, the entire crew was professional, meticulous, and friendly. They treated our home as if it was their own. The final result was nothing short of PERFECTION. My wife and I are amazed at how beautiful our home is. Others in our community have nothing but positive comments when they walk by. We very highly recommend Horner Painting, and will definitely use them again in the future.

Horner Painting did a fantastic job on our ranch-style home in Fort Collins. Adam was the primary contact; Carlos was the crew chief; he did the power-washing and led two other painters for prep and painting. In every way, Horner Painting met our highest expectations. They did a thorough prep job; painted the main color, trim, and exterior doors with two coats and a total of three colors. The exterior was washed on a Saturday and the painters arrived later in the week and completed the exterior in a single day (working hard!). We also had them paint the interiors of our new exterior doors, and both sides of a new garage-entry door. This part of the job took extra care because they had to site-build spray booths around the doors, which took a bit of time. But the results were highly professional, and I'm glad we opted to have them paint the interiors. Horner charged a reasonable price, with no deposit and invoiced only after 100% satisfaction was achieved. They also were patient with the color selections, allowing us several samples to ensure we had the right colors. We highly recommend Horner Painting!

One thing, the painters has a family issue and started later in the day, causing them to overflow to the next day and the following Monday. I was referred to Horner Painting by my Builder as I had a small job I needed completed. When I contacted them and explained my project, self pay, no insurance claim would be necessary, I was told that she would call me back. I did get a call back and was told that her manager said we weren't a good fit. I asked why, but no explanation was given to me. That was the extent of my customer experience. As a professional in this community for over 30 years with owning several businesses, I haven't experienced this level of dismissal and poor customer service. I can not recommend this company. We had our home painted by Honers 4 years ago and they did a great job. We started to have issues with some paint peeling on one part so we gave them a call about it. We were just outside of the 4 year warranty they had on their work when we had it done, but told us just after they changed their warranty to 5 years. Because that change happened just after our home was painted they came out and repaired the work under the 5 year warranty. The paint was repaired in 3 day and was done by Moses Honers himself. This level of customer service is almost unheard, thank you so much for your great work and customer service.

It was a lot of work with trim, crown molding and baseboard plus a few repairs where the walls were slightly damaged from pulling off wallpaper border. To be able to complete all of that in one day was spectacular!! I would definitely hire Horner Painting again.

EPA Certified? These guys were professional, and communicative, the job looks great bbuuttt... we paid a premium for EPA certified painters to keep lead out of the soil. They put out tarps but appeared to pick up nothing additional. I’m not being whiny here- I get tiny chips in the mulch but when these guys left there was a blanket of chipped paint across the property including dozens of pieces bigger than my whole hand - could have done it myself cheaper and saved the river some poisoning.

The bid was in a folder with all the particulars of my job and copies of insurances, policies, etc. Moses was so professional, always calling to let me know if there was a delay (weather was iffy) and when they would be out. We attempted to get three quotes. Horner responded first and had us a quote within a day or two of when we contacted them. We hired Horner Painting originally because out of three referrals they were the most reasonably priced. The first home they painted for us was an exterior job and an extremely difficult home to paint because of the vertical slope of the land that the house sits on. They did an exceptional job. They caulked and primed thoroughly and there was not a drop of paint on the ground. The final product was outstanding. We've hired them again for two other jobs, one exterior and one interior and once again a quality job. Another thing that I respect about Moses Horner is that he sticks to his estimate and the bill is not due until you are satisfied with the job. A great value overall. I'm writing this review because when I decided to go with Horner, I was a little worried because I couldn't find any online reviews of their work (aside from the ones on their website, which I didn't know if I could really trust). Hopefully this review will help someone else thinking about going with them. Horner Painting caulked and repainted the exterior of my SE Fort Collins home in April 2013. I received quotes from four local painting companies, and Horner beat them all by $500-$2000. Moses (the owner) came out in February and promptly gave me a quote on the same day I called him without all of the fuss, which was refreshing (other companies wanted to hold my hand and walk around the house pointing out every single spot where the caulk or paint was failing, which got a little old). A few days before painting, Sherwin-Williams delivered a gallon of each of my colors (body, trim, and punch) so that I could test them and verify that they were the correct colors before work began. Horner let me keep these gallons afterward for future touch-up's. Carlos and his crew came out two months after the initial quote (as soon as it was warm enough) and did an excellent job and finished my 1800 sq foot 2-story home in two full days. Carlos was very friendly and did a pretty good job of keeping me apprised of what was going on (there were some delays due to some windy and snowy days, etc). He did a walkthrough afterward with my wife and I and immediately fixed anything that was missed. When he was removing the weather stripping to paint my front door, it ripped, so he took care of purchasing new weather stripping and installing it, which was nice. The quality of the work and the products that they used (SW Superpaint) was excellent. They did a great job applying it thick enough but not runny and the attention to detail was great. My only minor complaint would be clean up. There were a few areas where there was a small amount of overspray or dripped paint, scraped caulk on the ground that didn't get cleaned up, or a little bit of masking tape left behind on areas like the garage door handle and the fence. I didn't notice these things until a few days after they had left or I'm sure they would have fixed them. Overall, these issues were minor and I think Horner provided an excellent value for the price. I wouldn't hesitate to go with them again. My house looks great!

We had gotten 2 recommendations from friends and had seen their work performed. Very friendly crew! We felt the design consultant could have been better. We were expecting a little more help/guidance as far as ideas for color schemes but we did have to stay within some constraints of our HOA so in the end it wasn't really a big deal.
