Hired him last October 2012 to do a painting for a small niche I have in my entryway. He came to my house, seemed excited about doing it, took my deposit and never did the painting. He initially told me he was happy to be doing a smaller project and would have it to me in 10 days. I had to continually call him and to find out when my painting would be ready. Finally in Feb 2013, he said he wouldn't be doing it and returned my deposit. Would not recommend him for anything.

European Painter was hired by a contractor I was using to fix the errors they had made. The European painters arrived promptly and with no direction turned my house into a masterpiece. They paid very close attention to detail, went over parts of the house 3 times, they even cleaned up the paint drippings the other contractor had left behind and removed the overspray off of my windows (from other company). I couldn't have been happier with the job they did. Very professional, remarkable work and I felt safe having the workers at my house. It didn't feel like my house was being worked on, they even cleaned up after themselves before they left. I highly recommend using this company. I will absolutely be using them again.

My husband and I just had the pleasure of both meeting and working with Darek Sokol "European Painter" on a project in our home. I have worked with many contractors over the years, both personally and professionally, and I can say with all confidence that Darek is one of the best in his business. Darek completed an extensive painting project in our home that I thought would have taken a three man crew a week. The job was done in four and a half days, and at a very fair price. Additionally, we trusted him implicitly in our home. He was beyond respectful, and even enjoyed our two dogs who have historically been a handful for previous contractors. He will now be our painting contractor of choice for life.

We live in a historic home and had some of our original decorative trim destroyed. Darek was able to recreate the trim by using a plaster mold that he created from silicone! After he installed it and faux painted it to match the existing, you can not tell the difference!!! What an amazing job!

European Painter did an excellent job for my family at a time we were very distraught. A car barreled into our home. The family room was a total loss and we had a beautiful mural of a germanic mountain scene partially destroyed. We thought it would be lost as the artist was not to be found. We called Derek to see if he would be able to restore it. He took great effort to restore the painting to its original look. We watched as he took the broken pieces and studied them, comparing paint colors and brush strokes. He did not rush the process. The result was nothing short of a miracle!! There is not one hint of where the original ends and Derek's work begins. All three of us in the home were astonished-- even though we know where the breaks are in the painting, WE cannot even see them. This mural means so very much to us. Derek not only restored our mural for us but was very sensitive to our family at a time we were very vulnerable. He was always professional and very kind. We recommend both his work and his professionalism without hesitation.

The team did an excellent job. They were on time and did a great job, in a timely manner and for a good price. The house looks better now than when I bought it. There was a small detail I noticed while they were working that i didn't know weather to mention or not and when we went out for the inspection it was taken care of, without me saying a word. It was a small thing but to me it was a big thing.

Mr. Sokol did such a great job for us we recommend him to all our friends. He does exactly what we ask him to do and always such a great job. He is far and away the best painter we have used, I have used him three times; for our own personal home, as well as two other rehab projects. He has a real eye for textures and murals even turned a fireplace that had painted over back to looking like the beautiful brick that was here before. I was stunned, it is amazing the eye he has for the details. I am convinced there is no project he can't tackle, especially if it's a decorative/artistic component, he's a genius at that.

Derek is really great to work with. We had him do some faux painting in our last home and he did a great job. In fact, our home went under contract in 8 days, and I do believe that his painting was a big reason why our home moved so quickly. By the way, there were two other homes for sale on our block for more than 100 days. We recently hired him again to faux paint our new home. My wife loves what he has done, and so has my daughter. I am very happy with the the quality of workmanship he as done. He is reasonably priced and does great quality work. He is just an excellent painter. Thank you Derek!!!

Hired him in May 2017 to paint our laundry room, bedroom and to stain the front-door frame. He did a very good job and in particular showed skill in matching paint color to repair partially damaged front-door stain. Mr. Sokol showed attention to the detail and his painting services are reasonably priced.

WOW what can I say-----What a great person to work with. When I first contacted him by phone to bid the job he was very nice and extremely knowledgeable about everything I asked him about concerning the job. He showed up on time for the bid appointment and then showed up on time for the job. He did the work in a professional manner and I was there every step of the way. He was very easy to work with and extremely friendly. The man is a true artist he showed me some of the work he has done when we were finished with the job and I truly can say that I have never seen such quality workmanship with what he has done. I have no problem giving him 10 stars if I could.

Zero integrity. Uses poor quality subcontractors who left the job unfinished. The owner refused to come out and even inspect the job. He refuses to take any responsibility for his crew. Wishing there was some accountability on his end.
