My original insurance claim adjuster came out and looked at my house briefly; he missed quiet a few things. I was not aware of this until the Project Manager of Avalanche Roofing and Exteriors- Aaron Tucker brought this to my attention when he examined my house. He was thorough and patient in explaining everything to me and helped me submit the claim to my adjuster. Unfortunately, my case was passed along to a second claim adjuster and by then my claim was almost ending. Aaron was kind enough to assist me in extending the claim through the insurance company. He went above and beyond to provide excellent customer service and I would definitely refer others to Avalanche Roofing and Exteriors. Thank you so much for everything you have done!

Project manager I have is in unorganized and more worried about collecting money than actually completing the work. Told several time do many clients to call if I need sonething. Going on 15 months and just completed. . If you want a company for roofing. Great. Don't go painting or Windows. They subcontract everything out. If you want s pot head calling you a 747 pm on a Friday night to come out Saturday with no contact from.your project manager. This this the he'll hole to call. I'll be glad when I done with this screwed up conpany.

Wow, shocked that someone would talk to you like your an idiot (Matt). Wow, shocked that someone has to communicate through reviews to get anything done. Matt, you will NOT talk to me like that again! Your the professional here, you let me buy the incorrect paint! It does not specify in the contract which paint I should purchase/to be used. I thought I was helping get the paint out of the way when I was at the store and it was on sale. You, Matt, at that time should of said something. You went above and beyond and even called the painter and confirmed how much paint to buy. How was I suppose to tell I was in the wrong. Never mind our differences, let me suggest taking our total without our savings (retail if you will before discounts), take your pricing on your flavor of paint with or without discounts and we split the difference. That's meeting in the middle on terms that I don't think I had to come down to. And if you can find a less expensive way (OOP) lets roll with that. And allow me to comment this Matt, you're trying to cover-up an honest mistake on my part and for you not owning up to an accident (communications).

We chose them because they were one of the top rated roofing companies in the springs. It took about 6 months to get our roof done, and in the meantime they were hard and frustrating to work with. No one seemed to know what was going on-they didn’t seem to have any line of communication between their office staff, sales reps, and us. We needed some info from them in order to endorse our check to get the work done, and no one there could figure it out! They kept saying they needed to get with our insurance (for more money) in order to get us that Information we needed. After months, I finally got the Information on my own, and got things moving. When the work was finally “finished”, we really weren’t even certain. The crew had left all my stuff/furniture scattered around the yard, left a bucket of nails in the middle of my driveway, left materials/tools behind, and left dirty footprints/smudges/markings along our siding in various places. Maybe because it was before the holiday and they were in a rush? No one contacted us to let us know the work was complete or what’s next, they just contacted us demanding payment that we had to pay within 5 days of work being completed. We weren’t sure 1- that the work was even complete, 2- if it was supposed to be inspected first? We were just told to pay and when we asked about inspection, were told it’s 6 weeks out(which is fine)- it just would have been nice to know. The salesman did help me move all our stuff back, and take the remaining materials/tools when he came to collect the payment. This whole thing was an incredible headache, my husband and I were VERY UNHAPPY with this experience, and will not be using them again! I wouldn’t even have left this horrible review, but even after everything- we were texted twice asking to give a 5 star review... to sum it up, -communication was terrible. -Progress on the “job” was terrible. -And the workmanship was sub par. All I can hope for, is that it passes inspection, doesn’t have unseen damage from it being left unrepaired for so long, and doesn’t leak before the day comes that we need a new roof (from someone else)

After we bought our new house, we had Avalanche come and paint the whole interior. The painters were excellent. They were professional and did exceptional quality work all for a very reasonable price. They didn't leave any trash or mess behind. Ever since we have gotten numerous compliments on the paint. When we had to move, we had to show the house to many possible renters and many of them stated that the interior paint was one of the things they loved about the house. The office staff was also exceptional. They are very helpful from the very first contact they make you feel like their very most important customer. Very disappointed in this company, they promise the world and don't follow through. After signing a contract, which was a big mistake, my shingle order apparently was lost. After missing deadline after deadline I contacted the owner to cancel the contract. The owner threatened to sue me and was frustrated with me for his missed deadlines. The company has had to come out multiple times for issues with the roof. Needless to say I would not recommend this company. I'm sure the owner will add a comment of how I was in the wrong, just as he does with all other negative comments. Please take my advice and move on from this company.

Considering the amount of hail damage that was done around the city and how many roofs needed to be repaired Avalanche Roofing was on top of it. I noticed some of my neighbors didn't get their roofs repaired until 8-10 months after the storm hit. The quality of work was good and the staff was pleasant to work with. The reason I'm giving Avalanche Roofing a 5 Star rating is because how easy it was to work with them. They made the whole process with the insurance company a breeze.

Signing a contract with Avalanche for my roofing and exterior is the biggest mistake in my entire life. They are unprofessional (especially Blake and Carl whom i heard had been fired), and all what they care about is their money. Whoever is reading this review, please be careful and make the right decision by not giving them the contract. Total bunch of lairs from receptionist to the manager (James). One worse thing is their contract is full of grammatical errors, therefore you barely understand what the hell they talking about. If I have to give them any stars, I will give them negative 5 rating. BE AWARE OF THIS ROOFING AND EXTERIOR COMPANY BECAUSE THEY SUCK!

They got the big check from the insurance company and then just never finished the job. It's disappointing because we had a very good experience with them a couple of years ago in house painting. Update: June 30 2019 and the job is still not complete. Update: May 15th 2019 and the job is still not complete. So far I have very little good to say about this company. They started my job after the hail storm in June and still are not complete. I still don’t have an estimate or a bill, and the work was done very unsatisfactory. Roof didn’t pass inspection, didn’t replace all the siding like they were supposed to and didn’t do the fascia. They fell through my ceiling twice and left my house trashed, then they tried to charge me for repairs making up a story of how it happened. The repairs were done poorly you can clearly see the patch and they didn’t texture or paint even though they charged for it. I’ve given them 2 months to get me a bill and contract letting them know I would leave this review and they’ve done nothing but give excuses. I’ve already paid them over 20k which was my mistake, I should of held all payments. They are taking advantage of me because I’m a disabled vet who has been stuck in bed for 3 months. Ive been told I am stuck with this company and have to allow them to make this right but I don’t believe this job will ever be complete. I will upload pictures of my ceiling and siding so people can see that my house is worse then before. My friend worked for this company so the excuse has been it’s all his fault but he wasn’t even my project manager from the beginning, he stepped in to help the first time they overcharged me on the bill and I threatened to leave. The owner as far as I can tell is untruthful on the phone, he doesn’t even live in CO so there’s no wonder nothing gets done. I’m hoping this review will motivate them to do the right thing and finish my job the right way and in a timely manner. I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy. They told me they were a licensed contractor for USAA however USAA told me that was untrue therefore they couldn’t offer any help. The owner commented, then deleted. In response to your response nobody changed their mind. Your not being truthful and I’m surprised this is how you choose to respond but we can do it here. The ceiling was supposed to be fixed all along, why would I except such bad work. You just came 2 weeks ago to fix the garage I only had to wait 7 months for that. Yes the entire house was textured and painted you cannot expect me to wait months to fix my home. The hole in the ceiling was not covered under insurance because the damage was created by your crew and nobody fell through the sheathing that is a lie. I’m still waiting for my paperwork we spoke about weeks ago and the other day. I’ve mentioned I was going to leave this review if I didn’t receive paperwork so your surprise is unwarranted. If you’d like to respond maybe you can explain why this job has taken so long, why there are so many mistakes and why I have yet to receive a good estimate. I look forward to continuing the conversation either on here or on the phone tomorrow. I’m not asking for anything ridiculous just for the damage caused to be fixed and all the work on the quote to be completed. I will put up pictures of the siding tomorrow so you can see the job since you haven’t stopped by to see it yourself. This is very unprofessional. And the ceiling looks like garbage, how is that acceptable?

The Avalanche team was committed to customer service and problem resolution with my roof/leak issue. Both the owner and supervisor spent the time to identify the root cause of the leak(s), explained to me the why's behind it (code changes since previous roof was installed by the previous owner/company) and returned immediately to fix the problem. We had this company come to do our siding and roof after a bad hail storm and are very disappointed with our experience. We have parts of the siding coming off already after a few months and then they put a nail through the wire on the outside of the house that went to the dishwasher while installing siding and refused to fix it. That was $1100 out of our pocket to fix that!

I had never had a claim for my house in 18 yrs and James was patient and kind as he always answered my questions and walked me thru the process. I literally had large holes thru the decking of my roof and they were able to get my roof installed within a couple of months...of course kept.it covered in the meantime. I still had neighbors that were waiting on their roof install up to 10-12 months after the storm took place. If customer service is important to you, then call Avalanche and ask for James!

We had a hail storm that ended up giving us the opportunity to fix up our house. Avalanche did a great job on our roof and only took one day. They also painted the exterior siding and it looks very good. We had them tile part of our basement, laundry room, and bathroom and Roy did an outstanding job. Their office staff is very professional and very helpful with questions. Jesse, the owner, personally took me through the process and made himself available as needed. Jesse was able to find additional things that needed to be fixed from the hail storm and did all the work with the insurance company. Jesse is a rare person in the field of contracting, very honest, and very polite. I will be hiring them for future projects.

I’d say their performance and customer service speaks for itself, but absolutely not in a good way. They obviously don’t care about their customers with. It should not take 6 months to roof a house that’s just poor business management and a 1300sq ft house costing close to $15k Is robbery. I would advise anyone looking to get a roof done to avoid these guys at all costs. They put customers in bad situations and most of the time they will just ignore your messages and calls. Plus they like to take advantage of military personnel and veterans.

The company was not responsive at all! I signed my contract with them in September and all the work wasn't completed until the end of January. Communication was VERY poor all around. It took forever to get a date of when the roof would be replaced and I had to keep asking constantly for an updated schedule of when it would be done. After the roof was done communication got even worse. Apparently they do not think side jobs are important, they never completed my gutter work so I had to call and tell them to forget about it. To replace 7 screens on my windows it took months.... They also broke one of my field stone rocks, although this did get replaced eventually after constant contact and a letter threatening to contact the Better Business Bureau about incomplete work and broken property. I talked to at least six different people in the company who all profusely apologized but then never did anything to fix the problem. They always blamed someone else for the issue instead of owning up to their lack of communication and professionalism. It is now March 1st and they just now got the info to insurance for the second half of the insurance check. Absolutely ridiculous that it would take this long to complete work and a claim. I am surprised this company has such good reviews on Angies List. I do not and will not ever recommend this company to anyone. STAY FAR AWAY.

You better think twice before signing a contract with this company. I hired them two years ago, and everything went fine. I hired them one year ago, and it has been a nightmare. There has been one problem after another, and there is a total lack of communication within their company. The roof is not complete and an old vent that should have been replaced and later leaked ruined the sheetrock in my bathroom. The gutters are messed up, and they can't seem to get the materials together for the siding. All I do is waste my time repeating myself, and I feel like they just pacify me. They send people out to work on my house without scheduling it with me. I relied upon them to know what needed to be done, and I would have been better off hiring my own contractors.

Unprofessional. Hires children to do the work. Work not complete but they demanded money. Incomplete job, poor workmanship. After they "repaired" the shingles, the flew off a week later in the next wind storm. STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Update 7/3/19: I would give negative 5 stars if I could. The lack of communication with this company is amazing, and the condescending tone used when speaking with me is beyond insulting. Project still not complete. They are refusing to do some work (replace screens) and are still billing my insurance for the work. I've also been charged for materials that were never used and was told that would be taken off the total...it has not been. Beyond disappointed. I would highly recommend going with any other company if at all possible. Update 5/15/19: I like how instead of you contacting me (after I have left several messages and you clearly know who I am now since you know when my contract was signed), you respond to my review. Very unprofessional. An update on the work: I was called 5/3 and told that the siding materials would be delivered and the gutters would be replaced the following week. 2 weeks later, no siding materials have been delivered and the gutters have not been fixed. Every time I ask about the peeling shingles I am told the guy that does the repairs is unavailable. I am aware when I signed my contract. The fact that the work hasn't been done is only part of the problem, I am promised things with no follow-thru or follow-up. Original review: It took them 2 months to come do the initial work. I have been playing phone/email/text tag with them since because the work is only half done and now the shingles are peeling up on the roof. Whenever I do get in contact with the office, they refer me to the roofing representative in charge of my case, and when I'm able to get in touch with him, he is very rude and makes promises he doesn't follow through on. I am very disappointed with my experience with Avalanche. I was very impressed with the initial guy I spoke with, obviously because they earned my business, but since they got my money, it has been disappointment after disappointment. **Edit...my apologies, my name is Rebecca Hubbard. Google won’t let me change it. I tried to add pictures of the roof that is indeed peeling, but can’t seem to do that from my phone. I have attempted to call and left a message.

They subcontract their paint jobs out but didn't make that clear until a variety of painters called to "see" my house. Went through 2-3 painters before one was willing to do the job for the Avalanche bid price. I had to repeatedly stop him from painting on days when it was below 35 degrees (too cold for the paint to stick). Four months elapsed from signing the contract getting my house painted, but weather was a factor. The painter left tools and debris at the site. He pressure washed window frames that we had specifically agreed (with him and the contractor) to have hand sanded, resulting in a poor outcome. To their credit they took the time and effort to send a rep to the house and discuss all my concerns.

I was referred to Avalanche Roofing by my insurance company due to hail damage to my roof. This was very helpful as I live out-of-state and rent out my property. Avalanche did a great job communicating with me in a different time zone with Jesse sometimes calling me at 6 am his time to catch me at a good time. I was constantly updated and even "walked through" some subcontracting that needed to be done on the chimney before the roof was installed. They even managed screen and exhaust duct work repair. Per my insurance company and my local property manager, the repairs are great and I recommend anyone to use Avalanche for similar repairs.

I can't speak highly enough of the service we received. Tyson came over and explained the whole process. This was the first roof I ever had to replace. Our roof was in really bad shape. The workers came over on the assigned day and did a great job. Tyson came over a few times to check on the workers and even brought them drinks. I liked that. I have a military background and I like seeing the workers being taken care of. Avalanche has great customer service too. Never completed work but demanded money immediately. They took 3 months before even starting the work. When they did send workers, they didn't seem to be knowledgeable of the work. They seem to be immigrants. They brought their children on the job site throwing old tiles down. I took pictures of them having their children work for them. The roof shingles started flying off the next storm. Finally, a year later, they finished the roof. The insurance company paid them to fix siding, gutters, etc. Avalanche knew this. We showed them what the insurance company was reimbursing us for. We have a contract stating the areas they would fix. They continued to demand money without work being completed and threatened to put a lien on our house. The roof still has shingles missing, gutters and siding not fixed. Avalanche said they don't do gutters or siding. Then why did they accept the job, the insurance money, and sign a contract? AWFUL company. Please find another company. These people are shady and we still don't have a functional roof.

When asked if they could repair all of the exterior damage to my home after the hail I had a salesman who couldn't seem to figure out how his own phone worked say that they were more or less just comfortable with only fixing the roof. I get it, the roof is a big ticket item and doesn't require as much scrutiny over a long period of time. But, most GCs will either charge a higher rate to just "do the small stuff" without the roof or will say they're too busy. Went with another company who agreed to do all of the work and couldn't be happier.

This was my second time using this company and my last time. The first time was great but this time was a huge headache and a very unpleasant and frustrating experience. My first Project Manager quit the company and a new one I guess was assigned but never contacted me, if not for my persistence calling the office I wonder if I would of ever heard from them. I had to have roofers come back a second time to correct issues the city inspecter hit on. There were nails all over the yard and driveway. No tarps or protection was afforded too our yard to alleviate all the debris scattered all over the lot. Screws in the driveway and street left from the gutter company which that installation had been pushed back four times to complete with no notification made to me, again I had to call the office. I had to constantly contact the office for any updates and times/dates for the completion of work. Project Manager never QA'd or monitored any of the installation of scheduled work. What should of been a easy and timely completion took six months to complete. They reattached our satelite dish to the roof when they were not suppose to per my wishes and the signed contract. Transition metal piece from roof to the patio roof was not replaced and when I contacted them to correct the issue they screwed a bare galvanized piece over the top of the old one instead of removing and installing the correct color which would match my gutters and trim that was verbally agreed upon with both Project Managers. Screws are protruding through my patio cover every foot of a twenty foot span instead of into the 2X6's supports, which will soon cause major leaking issues. I again had to contact the office to get my furnace vent cap installed before I could turn my heat back on with the colder temperatures upon us. TOTALLY UNSATISFACTORY, IRRESPONSIBLE and UNPROFESSIONAL. I will NEVER recommend or use this company in the future. VERY UNHAPPY with the final result and for the lack of taking responsibility of the shoddy and poor work done. If you are going to have your roof and gutters replaced I would recommend finding a different company. One that has their own roofing and gutter crews and not ones subbed out. INCOMPETENT, UNRELIABLE and NOT TRUSTWORTHY. Rebuttal to owners response: There is no mention as to why the original transition was not removed and the new one attached over the top of the original. Very unprofessionally. There are rafters spaced evenly throughout the span of the patio roof where the screws should of been placed. This should of been easily observed while looking at how patio panels are attached. A credit or waiver of my deductible should have never have to have been brought up but due to the poor quality of the job your company did on my roof I was upset and very unsatisfied with the end result.

I recently purchased a home in Colorado Springs. During one of the major downpours we had in July I started to get water in my basement from a vent. I called the closest and best rated roofing company, Avalanche Roofing, and they sent Tyson to do an inspection. Tyson was extremely professional, polite, and friendly. Even though it took a few attempted fixes to figure out the exact problem he consistently kept in touch and explained what was going on. Eventually the problem was completely resolved before any water damage occurred. After this experience I know for a fact that Avalanche Roofing, and specifically Tyson, can be trusted. I will be using them for all my roofing needs as long as I live within their service area.

I would look elsewhere for roofing repairs. I wish I had. Spent $5.1k to fix a roof leak. My roof is still leaking. They seemed happy to have me throw money at this leak. Wanted me to spend a "few hundred" dollars ($600+) more to "definitely take care of the leak." These dudes are your typical contractor- not trust worthy. This company's reviews are suspect at best. Having your GM/sales manager providing a 5 star review calls into question their other reviews. EDIT: Just received a phone call from Avalanche Roofing's GM/sales manager concerning my review. They demanded I that change or remove the review, not to try to come to a happy conclusion for all. They also threatened me with litigation and to negatively review my business.

Hopefully everything will be settled so work can move forward. Worst company ever. We signed a contract with them in March it's now almost August nothing has been done to our home. They want to charge us 1200 to cancel. The contract says that we can cancel with out charge if no work was done or materials were used. They are trying to charge for us just talking to them. Our insurance agent and other roofers say that's not industry standard. We are first time home buyers they have made this experience miserable for us. Dont use them. We are going to the BBB to report them for unethical business practices.

Setting up an inspection and estimate with Avalanche Roofing was a pleasure. We contacted several well reviewed roofing companies and Avalanche was the quickest to respond and send out an inspector. Our inspector, James P (ask for him), was a great person to deal with. James was here on time. He asked very thorough questions and then got right to work. After the inspection he took the time to show us the photos of our roof and give us a very detailed run-down of the issues we were facing. In talking with him we mentioned that our roof had been replaced about 18 months ago and he encouraged us to go back to our contractor (who he was kind enough to say did an overall good job) to make a warranty claim. We greatly regret our original choice in contractors, stick to just 3 dimensions folks, but we will give them a chance to fix their work. If they are unwilling or if we EVER have any problems Avalanche Roofing will be the first folks that we call. I really wish we had used them for the hail-storm re-roof. Give these folks a call. Great folks and great customer service.

Work was completed in a timely manner and they ensured that they didn't leave any mess behind nor anything that could pop up and cause other problems like a punctured tire. I was so pleased with the experience and even surprised as they went above and beyond when my insurance company tried to pay out less claiming that some of the charges were unnecessary. Avalanche took the lead on this for me and was able to demonstrate that the charges were necessary to bring my roof into code which caused my insurance company to issue out an additional check. Avalanche knocked on my door shortly after a big hailstorm and gave me a free roof inspection. I filed an insurance claim on my roof, and after some research, I decided to give Avalanche the job. The salesman I worked with was very honest and forthcoming about the roofing process and clearly explained what to expect as far as handling my insurance claim and even the timeline for all of my work to be completed. It was a long process, but the office staff remained in contact with me and I always knew where my job was at. Overall, I'm pleased with the performance of everyone at their office, and more importantly my roof looks great and doesn't leak.

I chose this company after I extensively researched and contacted a few previous customers. The initial walk-through was promising, as was the communication with the installation. My first concern became present when the supply delivery truck left a basketball sized oil spill in my driveway. I addressed this concern with my project manager he told me that he'd take care of it. Weeks went by and still an oil spot. I took it upon myself to power wash. After the install, they promised to sweep the yard for nails and trash. That too was not the case. My 6 year old got a quarter for every nail he found on our property. Well, he found over 40! The PM stated if the installers can't come back that he himself would sweep the yard. Once again, still waiting for that. I also had some other issues that came up, so I decided to email the owner and the financial manager. I kindly stated all my issues with the current process and how unsatisfied I was with their communication. I also asked for someone other than the PM to contact me. That never happened. In fact, I learned that the owner specifically told the office manager not to respond to my email. Instead, they have the one person I did not want to speak with call me. I am amazed by the lack of integrity and customer service this company portrays. The owner couldn't take 5 minutes of his time to email or call me to discuss the concerns I had. I would recommend finding another company for roofing needs.
