Marcel Painting painted the exterior of my 1460 sf rental property. The cost, I felt, was reasonable and the quality of the preparation and painting was excellent. The entire staff was very professional. I had to reschedule due to having to first obtain approval for paint colors from the HOA. Marcel Painting cheerfully accommodated the delay. The entire job was nearly completed by a crew of three in one day. The foreman told me he would come back in the morning to give the back porch ceiling a second coat, otherwise they would have been done in one day. Once again, the quality of work and the look of the completed job is excellent!

Marcel removed popcorn ceilings at 13415 N.103rd Way and the job was completed on schedule, and excellent workmanship by his employees. The preparation performed before the start of the removal was very good and eliminated spills on flooring etc. Great job cleaning everything up at the completion of the job. Would recommend them for this type of work.

I would highly recommend Marcel Painting! For starters, their prices are very fair and right on point! Not to high like alot of other companies or not too low, but just outright fair! 2ndly, They did an excellent job on my condo I just purchased. It was previously a rental so it was kinda beat up, but instantly became new after they got done. Lastly, they respond when needed. David was always there when I had questions. David came out to evaluate and provide estimate, etc. I also spoke to the owner, Kelly and he was very courteous! Do yourself a favor and go with them.

I hired the company to paint the exterior of my house. I was given a proposal that detailed the work that would be done and the price. I was separately told via email with the representative that gave me the quote that the job would take 3 days. One painter arrived on the agreed upon day to start work and finished the entire project in one day. When I walked through the property the following day it was extremely sloppy. After reaching out to the company, the painter returned to walk through the property with me. He returned later that week to fix issues. When I walked through the property after his attempt to fix the issues I found most of the issues not corrected and several things actually made worse. I took 70 photos of the property highlighting the issues I had which included paint on the sidewalk, overspray, drips on light fixtures and furniture, uneven coverage, etc. I contacted the company again and shared pictures with the owner. His emailed response was “OMG” and he sent a subcontractor out to the property to fix the work. After two days of work and 2 additional walkthroughs, there are still clear issues with the quality of the job. I took an additional 77 photos showing the issues. I was not followed up with after the subcontractor left for two weeks. When I finally did get follow up, I was no longer interested in having the company out for a third attempt at corrections and I had already proceeded to make many corrections myself. Absolutely horrific experience that is now being escalated with formal complaint to the BBB.

I had scheduled a review for 3:30 pm at a house I am under contract to buy. By 3:45 nobody had shown up so I called the company and they said they would call David and find out where he was at and call me back right away. At 4:00 I had not received a call so I called back and got voice mail. I called again at 4:15 and someone answered the phone, found out what was going on from the first person that answered the phone and told me they could not get a hold of David (would have been nice to have gotten a call back letting me know). The person I was speaking to said she would continue trying to get a hold of him and around 4:40 called back to let me know they had still not gotten a hold of him. I was frustrated that I spent an hour driving to and from the house and an hour an a half waiting for David to show.

Love the excellent electrostatic paint job on all my fencing, pool, rear view fence, circular staircase & upper deck railing plus three gates & a smaller fence & plant bench. The color match was perfect and guys that did the job were very cooperative & cheerfully corrected a few flaws I noticed. They worked tirelessly for two days in 100 plus heat & never slacked off. Management & office staff were great to work with as well. I'd use them again & they offer a 5 year warranty.

David the project manager came out to the house a few times and was great to work with !! The team of two that came out for the exterior painting was a much different story. The younger of the two was rude and could care less about damaging our property. He was so careless over and over. The paint sample was taken one week before and they arrived without any paint. So this delayed them many hours. At the end of the day the job was TERRIBLE. David came to the rescue and the two men returned the next day and repainted the exterior the way it should have been the first day. This mess caused us to delay putting our home on the market for an entire week, no one cared. The young man ruined our outdoor mat, laughed and said David would replace it. That has not been done. We also had to get our tile and grout re cleaned in our laundry room because the team never said anything to use about using water and did not care to ask us to close up the dog door, yep tons of water in the room. Have yet to hear from the Marcel company, was told we would be given a discount for the issues. But we did receive an invoice via email for the FULL amount. I have not paid it and no one responds to my message or text messages. I was planning on using them again because of how much I liked the project manager David, but the way now that this bill issue is being ignored, no way.

Marcel Painting was about $700 cheaper than the other bids and did a very adequate job that was timely and on budget with no money up front, which shows me a level of financial security in a paint company. They were also accommodating enough to go BACK to my house after the job was complete to take and send me photos as I was out of town during their job. However, their job was not flawless. 2 of my sidewalk lights were broken, security yard sign was bent over, there was house color paint sprayed on the eaves, eave color smudged on the stucco, and one of the outdoor garage lights was crooked. BUT they guarantee their work for 5 years so I will be reaching out to them.

I have used Marcel Painting on several occasion for several different types of projects. Each experience has been exceptional from the perspective of quality of work, professionalism of the painting staff, and knowledge and sales approach by their sales team. I am in sales myself, so I can really appreciate when a company "gets it" as it pertains to the sales process. I really feel that every time I work with Marcel, they look at partnering with their customers so it's much more of a consultative approach than a hard sell. They have actually suggested some other ideas outside of my vision of a project and in the end, the final result was better than I initially imagined. This is saying a lot, because my experience with other local painting companies has not been so good. Most of the companies in which I received estimates from were far from professional and usually a one to two man operation. Most of the other companies either didn't show up on time, showed up in apparel I would expect to see in a homeless shelter, or presented their abilities leaving me feeling anything but confident in their abilities to get the job done right. Finding good contractors in AZ can sometimes be a daunting task, so I feel compelled to let others know that there are still good companies out there.

I bought a home in Sun City West this summer. My realtor (and long time family friend) contacted Marcel Painting to repaint the entire interior of the home prior to move in. He contracts Marcel Painting to paint all of his investment homes and flips as well as his own homes over the years. The week of move in was chaotic with contractors coming and going on a very tight schedule, but Kelly Mardis contacted me right away, sent me an extremely reasonable estimate, and started the job on the day promised! He was easy to get a hold of and answered my emails immediately. It turned out that they'd need an extra day to complete the job, so Kelly sent additional crew members to expedite the process and the house looked beautiful when they were done.... with no disruption to the move in schedules! The entire crew was courteous and professional. They did a great job cleaning up and making way for the next contractor to come through. A friend of mine just purchased a home and I will (without hesitation) recommend Marcel Painting to him for any painting needs. Thank you Kelly for making my home look brand new again!
