GSL Painting is the BEST!!! They recently painted the exterior of my house and they did such an AMAZING job it honestly looks like a new house! It had not been painted since it was originally built and it needed A LOT of help! Greg and his team were thorough, detailed, and careful. They completely prepped the house (power washed it and even did some minor repairs,) thoroughly primed it and then did an exceptional job of painting it with great attention to detail. They were friendly, courteous and very responsive (getting back to me right away) and they did a great job of communicating what they were going to do and when. They were efficient, and professional with a great work ethic. I also appreciate that GSL Painting is a business that's been locally owned and operated by three generations of an Alaskan family for over 25 years. Greg and his boys definitely set a VERY high standard and they delivered!!! I highly recommend GSL Painting and wish there were more than 5 stars to give them. I LOVE coming home and seeing my new fresh, beautiful house, makes me smile every time~thank you GSL! :)

Ron is awesome. We needed our home painted and we got a couple different bids from various painting companies around town. Ron was not the cheapest but he sold us on value and his warranty. The work he did was great and the home looks great. We spent $2,000 more than the next bid but I think it was worth it.

We bought a fixer upper in a well established neighborhood in Anchorage. It stuck out like a sore thumb with the original 1974 paint job. Paint was chipping off, the siding was dry and cracked due to over 40 years of Alaskan weather. Greg and his team came out and gave me some “real talk” about how the process would take a little more than just slapping up some paint. They sanded down some trouble spots and started the prep work. They used a “shark skin” type paint that is thicker than most. It fills in the cracks and protects the wood from future damage. When complete, it was a whole new house. Neighbors came over and thanked me for updating. Don’t thank me, thank GSL Painting. Awesome, friendly staff. Very transparent on cost, timing and workmanship.

It would help if they showed up for the estimate but they must not actually need the work. I waited an hour for him, called and got it must have gotten erased from my calendar. Gave him the opportunity to come the next day while I was having others give estimates but I guess he decided he didn’t really want the work.

Professional in every way. Greg and his team sanded, prepped, and painted all the woodwork as well as all walls android ceilings in my son's townhouse with very tall ceilings in five days. They removed all of the masking, reinstalled all electric covers, did final touch ups, and left the home looking better than new. All was done within time and budget. We couldn't be happier.

GSL Painting did a fantastic job! I softened the look of my place by getting rid of the original glaring white painted interior and having GSL paint them a light mocha brown with a darker brown accent wall. After years of living there, the condo felt like MY HOME. The edges and corners were SHARP--very crisp lines-- and they even smoothed out the walls which had become like Swiss Cheese with nail holes. They did a great job on our condo building! I was soliciting bids on behalf of my building's HOA and GSL came in with the best price and they were able to get us quickly scheduled. Despite weather delays, they were still able to get the job done in fewer than two weeks, even working on the weekends. The building looks SOOOO much better now and they perfectly color-matched our previous paint job. We're all very happy with the work they did.

Greg's team repainted the new Cyrano's Theatre Building at 3800 Debarr Road and we are extremely pleased with the work! It was a great experience working with GSL from start to finish. We obtained quotes from several painting companies and what made GSL rise to the top was the excellent customer service and personal attention. Greg met me at the building and walked all the way around, asking detailed questions and offering expert advice. He was patient while we took forever to choose paint colors, and his team got the job done quickly and it looks fantastic. And when we asked for a couple of small touch-ups/changes, they didn't hesitate to come back and take care of those issues. Would definitely recommend GSL!

I came in contact with GSL Painting through a good friend that had his house painted last year - he was very satisfied with the work and professionalism. I met with the owner, Greg, earlier this spring to discuss my project. I told Greg what I wanted but explained that I had construction taking place and my timeline had to be fluid as I was at the mercy of spring weather and other contractors. He understood and was very flexible. When my project was ready for paint GSL was on it. The crews had excellent attention to detail and asked questions when faced with choices that needed answers. This job involved three separate buildings and took time. Greg explained that his crews would do it right, not necessarily fast and I was very pleased with that response. At the completion of the project I was extremely satisfied. The work was excellent and the price was exactly as quoted. By the way, the price was very fair. I will use GSL for all of my future painting needs and recommend GSL to everyone I know. I would give six stars if that was an option!

We were extremely impressed with the job GSL Painting has done painting our house. They are meticulous and very thorough. The crew didn’t rush through the job just to get it done. We could tell that they were being careful and seem to want to do quality work. The crew was also very professional, considerate and polite. Communication between us, the crew and the owner was prompt and clear. The house had an unbelievable amount of prep work. It needed it because it hadn’t been painted for 23 years! The house was sanded, caulked, and primed. The paint was sprayed on and then rolled to set in the paint. Extreme care was taken to protect plants, windows and other objects that were nearby. Greg, the owner, came by several times during the work week to make sure things were going smoothly. After the job was completed, Greg performed a walk-around with me, allowing me to critique the work and ask for any other work or improvements. Of course, the job was perfect! This company took no shortcuts, but delivered professional, careful and beautiful work. We would recommend this GSL Painting to anyone wanting excellent, quality work. We feel like we got the best job possible!

Greg and his sons Nicholas and Tyler did an amazing job on painting my old 1950’s era house. They took meticulous care with their prep work and were professional and thorough for the entire job. They even replaced a couple worn, rotten boards! The house is surrounded on two sides by large perennial gardens and they were extremely careful around the plants with minimal damage. They cleaned up after theirselves and just took over all pride in their work. The house looks amazing. I highly recommend them for their excellent work.
