I was so disappointed today. I took my 3 year old to get her eyes checked because she often says her eyes hurt. We waited 45 minutes till they could see us. The nurses were great, but the Dr seemed very impatient. it was almost closing time and I understand that you want to get home, but she's 3 years old and was scared. I was hoping for more patience and understanding. I ended up holding her arms while he tried to force her eyes open to look at them. obviously that didn't work. yes, I know she was hard to deal with, but she was so scared. It was traumatizing for both of us, and she had a rough time getting over it tonight. oh and they charged us $127 (we don't have vision insurance) and we didn't even get a proper diagnosis. We forgive you but don't recommend Dr Adkins for children and definitely won't be back.

I think this place has always been good. I'm visiting my home town after many years. I came to this eye doctor in the 80s because, going to our church, this Dr. Ferrell gave me contact lenses, my first ever, and a replacement pair because I was being bullied for wearing glasses so young. My mom was poor so this was a true gift. He and his daughter were so kind and wonderful. I've always been thankful though we lost touch with each other.
