Dr. Pittaras and her receptionist, Rhonda, are amazing. When Dr. Pittaras found an issue with my eye that she found concerning, she immediately did everything in her power to get me the help that I needed. She was easy to speak to and explained everything clearly, making me feel comfortable during my visit. The receptionist, Rhonda, was so bright and helpful the entire time, and even made calls to my family doctor to get me a referral that they were giving us a hard time over. After playing phone tag with numerous doctors, nurses, and receptionists, Dr. Pittaras and Rhonda were always kind and reliable. The selection of glasses are great, the place is very clean and neat, and I really felt like I was properly taken care of. I would recommend this place to everyone.

The specialized, state-of the art equipment allowed the Dr to discover an abnormality in one eye that surely would have been missed at one of the big corporate chain stores where they only give you the most basic tests and hardly spend any time with you at all. Before making my appointment, I did what every good consumer does, check the reviews. I was referred by my insurance to local providers. This business had the best reviews out of all the local offices, and I can see why. The doctor examined throughly my eyes, and gave me her recommendations on how to solve certain issues that I was having. I've never had an eye doctor dedicate so much time to one exam. Previously, I had bought my glasses online and thought my prescription had changed. I took her advice, and couldn't have been happier. There's a huge difference in a quality of my glasses, and my prescription had not even changed. It's not a subpar and shove-you-out-the-door type of office. It's a place to go for top notch quality.

Dr. Pittaras takes great care in providing state of the art equipment for patients that can bring more accuracy in diagnosing many medical eye health problems. The doctor here is all about money and anti insurance. I went in for contacts and made it clear i only wanted to go with a brand covered by my insurance. Thats why i pay for it right? When i got done with my fitting i was told the contacts i got fitted for where not a covered brand. So id owe $100 towards the visit on top of the 25 i paid which is my copay for out of network lenses. I told the office id just go somewhere else due to im not paying more then what is actually owed to get what i paid for. I went back to request my prescription from when i was fitted. I was told i didnt have one. Asked if the reason i was going somewhere else was about money. I explained she wouldnt give me contacts that were covered so i was going elsewhere. Then told me i was never fitted, then the doctor re-looked at my chart found i did have both. But if i wanted my prescription id have to pay the remaining 85 of a fitting fee. When i explained even though her office wants the fitting fee to be $110, my insurance covers it and i paid my copay already. She refused and said unless i paid i couldnt get a prescription. This doctor is all about money, how can you hold a prescription when the patient has paid for it. This is on top of calling and speaking with her in the past on being fitted for contacta in my network. She refused said anything covered by insurance is no good for your eyes. And continued to reiterate if it was about cost then maybe i be better off going with glasses.

Great if you want your time wasted. Tried setting up an appointment as a new patient and was put on hold for 15 minutes and no one ever clicked over. Called back a few days later, got an appointment this time and told them what vision insurance I had. A week goes by and they call me the day before my appointment and tell me they don't accept my insurance but would love for me to still come in and I can pay out of pocket. No thanks, that's why I pay an insurance premium. My vision insurance is specifically listed as accepted on their website and they didnt say anything about it on the phone when I told them who my carrier was. I'll take my business elsewhere. You guys might want to update your website and train your employees better.

Consumer Alert! Called the store at random to set up an appointment for an eye exam. I was told to come on in that same afternoon for an exam. (First warning sign) I did not notice any ‘no refunds policy’ posted at the reception counter, nor was I told by anyone that such a policy existed. Exam was completed. I was up sold a prescription only eye lid cleaner called Avenova (cost $35), in case I suffered from Blephartis, which I don’t have. You can get a daily eyelid cleaner called OCuSoft over the counter starting at $8.79 for a once a day application for 30 days. Just as good as Avenova and $26.21 cheaper. (Second warning sign) Glasses were ready in two days. I wear no line trifocals. I’ve worn glasses since high school. So when it comes to buying glasses with or without insurance I’ve done it. When I checked out the glasses the bottom and middle levels were okay. Top level for distance was not okay. I wore the glasses for a little over 8 days before I gave up on the top level working correctly. I brought them back to Electra Vision. I explained the top level was blurry, middle and bottom levels were okay. I was re-examined again. The reasons/excuses for the top level not working was: my brain/eyes would not unlock for the top level even though I unlocked for the middle and bottom level. Second possibility was the lens material I chose was the wrong type needed for my tri-focal prescription. I ordered polycarbonate material that I have used for years with tri-focals. Third possible reason was her assistant messed up, i.e., didn’t send proper specifications to the lab, didn’t explain to me the differences in lens capability such as peripheral vision, and so forth. But no matter what, she wasn’t to blame. (Third warning sign) At this point I ain’t buying none of the reasons given to me. I’ve got $427 into a pair of glasses after insurance, that work two thirds correctly. Not to mention a pair of frames that are 20% heavier than my old ones. But that’s my fault as I picked the closest thing I could find in their limited inventory of frames. After some further discussion regarding who was the customer in this matter, and yes I was agitated. I was told by the good Doctor she did well enough that she didn’t need my business. Now the Doctor presents two solutions to the problem; I can get a free re-do without any guarantee the problem will be fixed, or I can spend another $107.00 on top of the $427 already paid to get new lenses made with an adjustment to the original prescription. I go with the $107 solution thinking the free re-do isn’t going to resolve the problem and I will be told I’ve run out of options. I picked up the glasses today. Hey they work! I should have known better to think I was going to get a pair of new glasses for less than $500 after insurance! I should have seen it coming!

I was referred by an urgent care center on a Saturday afternoon with a tiny particle of metal embedded in my eyeball. They took me right away and removed it. It was smaller than a grain of salt and Dr. Pattaras gently and expertly plucked it out, and buffed the residue from the surrounding tissue. She then oversaw my recovery and made sure it wasn't becoming infected. She did a fantastic job and this is a great little shop.

She fit me with a lens that is much more breathable than what I had before. They feel amazing! I also love my new glasses. Very modern look. The doctor is just incredible and the equipment is very high-tech, making this absolutely the best eye exam I have ever had in my life! No exaggeration, I didn't even know some of these tests existed before. I had the extra full eye scan that was offered and was amazed at the results. If I could give this place zero stars I would. Barbara is an evil, rude, condescending human being. Stay away from this place. Even my children dislike her. She only seems interested in what money she can make. We went there for the first time for eye checkups and were berated by this woman. She has zero people skills. The only good thing about this place was Larry and he is gone now. Good for him. So glad we found somewhere else to go where the optometrist is pleasant.

I've been going to Dr. Pittaras for about 5-6 years, and I feel like I'm getting the most thorough analysis of my eye health. She seems genuinely concerned with my health, both generally and my eyes. All equipment is advanced and very up to date. You'll find some high end brand name frames, but some are reasonable as well. Seeing clearly is obviously extremely important to me, and glasses are something I wear every single day - I'm not skimping on accuracy or quality.

This is the only place in town that can get our prescription right. My husband & I both wear progressive lenses. We are always able to get our new frames and wear them with no problem. Before we found Electra Vision, we wasted our $$ on frames that didn't fit & lenses that were not made correctly, many times never wearing them @ all. If you want an Eye Dr. with state of the art equipment & knowledge, who takes her time with you through out the entire examine, then Electra Vision is the place to go. This is my second year with Dr Pittaris and again I am so pleased. My last encounter was for glasses and now for contacts. Due to astigmatism my eyes are difficult to fit and Dr Pittaris hasn’t missed a beat in helping me find the right fit through several fit checks, reorders of trial lenses and education about contact lens wear. Even as a long time contact lens wearer (15years) I had never been taught how to properly insert toric lenses until meeting her! My old tried and true lenses have been out of production for years and after several failed attempts to find a new fit with other optometrists, I had given up and went for new glasses last time around. This time I wanted to give contacts a try once again and Dr Pittaris has been such a help. I’m happy to say I have a final fit check appointment today to verify these lenses are indeed a great fit (we found the right ones!) and this has been a successful and dare I say enjoyable experience. Thank you Dr Pittaris for your time and effort to find the right lens for me! I can wear those beloved sunglasses on snowy days once again! :) You are not only professional and knowledgeable but also delightful to interact with.

I looked over those options available to me through my insurance. I noticed this practice was a small business owned by a woman, and felt I would get a better level of care there than at a big box store or national chain. I was certainly right!! Dr. Pittaras took the time to explain every procedure and the results. We had time to chat because I wasn’t just some part of a quota she had to get out the door. She selected the absolute perfect frames for me. I did not intend to buy frames, and felt no pressure at all to do so, but they were perfect! Larry took several measurements and explained the pricing and timing thoroughly. Incredible team at Electra, and certainly the only place I’ll be going from now on.

extremely rude dr. took my daughter (4) in 20 mins before our appointment we were rushed from the second she stepped into the room. dr pushed my daughters head into the one machine and got upset when she cried more. told me if she wouldn't sit still I would have to make another appointment she had to many other customers ( no one in waiting room and we were EARLY!) then told us she doesnt work with kids. after we were pushed out of her office she refused to stay in the room with me because my daughter was still crying. wouldn't even give me a minute to get her to calm down making matters worse. if you are not good with children maybe you shouldnt take appointments for children. my husband will not be going back for his further appointment and definitely will not go back for my daughters glasses.

Dr. Pitteras was extremely pushy, and strong-armed my wife into buying a type of glasses she didn't need. She also didn't explain her "no refund under any circumstances" policy before hand, and when my wife tried to cancel the order, just 30 minutes after making it, she refused. Since then she has been rude and impossible to deal with. Stay away!
