I was a finicky customer selecting a new pair of glasses after years with the favorite old pair. He went the extra mile and maintained a great sense of humor as we made an exhausting search of options. I heartily recommedation them.

Really interesting glasses that don't look outrageous but instead edgy and intriguing. I usually go to the downtown pike location but was in bellevue and happened to be walking by and popped in. Scored really cool buffalo horn that I can wear to work or out. Gotta love the versatility there. And Hunter (?) was great. Knew exactly how to bring out my eyes. Thx guys!

nice selection of eyewear and it stops there.. purchased some ic berlins in october of 2012. was told my insurance was out of network but they would file/mail the $200 insurance reimbursement on my behalf. sounded good so full payment of $786 up front. end of December i call my insurance to inquire about the status of the reimbursement. my insurance states market optical is in-network and that the check was mailed to market optical on 12/15/12. call market optical and nothing but run around; "insurance never mails the checks when they tell you, yadda yadda". i didnt even mention their mistake of telling me my insurance was out of network. my insurance calls them to inquire about the check. market optical surprisingly calls me back later that day saying the check arrived. what a surprise?! asked market optical to hold onto check and ill come by to pick it up. my schedule gets busy so i ask if they could mail it to me. sure no problem they say. call them back 3 days later no check. they say mails slow.. really 3 days from renton to bellevue?? severe lack of customer service, super rude and very condescending. day 4 and still no check.. unfortunately my insurance company can't reissue me a check since they are "in-network".

Interesting experience. I found frames that I loved and wanted to buy them, but was told that I couldn't just buy the frames - I had to get my lenses there as well. Since I live in Portland I didn't want to do that, but was told I had no option. The frames and lenses were going to cost me around $1,000. I didn't want to spend that much money and be three hours away if there was a problem with either the frame or the lenses. I asked for the name of the frames and told they were "AnV", and only available through them. Well, I came home and started googling. I found out the frames are called Anne et Valentin, and available in Portland. I found them in Portland at several locations. I bought them at Visage and was able to buy just the frame - I can have lenses made through my insurance and am paying a lot less than the Market Optical quote. They were not truthful and that is upsetting. I'm glad I didn't get scammed!

Full disclosure, I didn't go through the purchasing process here. However, my window shopping experience was excellent. I don't think I've ever experienced such attentive customer service in a retail setting. The young man who greeted me when I came in made it feel like I was shopping with my fashionable best friend. He knew just by looking at my face which frames would be the most flattering and then picked up on which styles were my favorite. They had a wide range from traditional to fashion forward and all seemed to be great quality. I think this is place where you get what you pay for. The frames are definitely on the higher end but so was the service.

I walked in there looking for a pair of glasses and was approached by the older lady withwhite hair the glasses. After showing me a few pairs of glasses, I mentioned that I was looking to spend about $500 altogether on a pair and asked if she had anything that would fit that. She looked down her glasses at me, took the glasses right out of my hand, said "not here," did an about face and walked away without another word. I have a few pairs of glasses and have spent more and less than 500 on them, and I can understand that certain stores only carry "higher end", atleast in terms of price if not quality, glasses. But the attitude?? I know that I will never walk into this store again and will steer anyone I know clear of it.
