Originally I had a decent experience, nothing bad but nothing too great either, just a decent eye appointment. I didn't like that the doctor was very salesy, trying hard to sell me lasik, trying to push daily lenses, this and that. When I declined lasik several times, he spit me out to the sales crew in the front where they tried hard to pressure me into buying daily lenses through them. I compared prices and told them I'd like to take the prescription to fill with another retailer. They wrote me a prescription for my old contact brand. They gave me no ability to get the daily lenses they had been pushing so strongly during the appointment. I was turned away by two lense suppliers because the doctor had specified a brand on my prescription. When I called and asked that they send me an updated prescription to include dailies, they said I'd need a fitting and follow up appointment for $40!!!!! WHY WASN'T I FITTED WHEN I WAS THERE ASKING FOR DAILIES?!? OH! I know! Its because I didn't want to buy my lenses from you! I will never ever ever go back to this eye doctor again. I was better off at Walmart Vision center. If you feel like being sold eyewear like its used cars, and paying way too much for lenses and frames, this is the place for you. Otherwise, go somewhere that cares about your eye health more than profit margins.

Everyone was pleasant and knowledgeable about their visual expertise, however I was not asked or informed about the contact lens evaluation, that I did not need or wanted as I am satisfied with the quality of vision and do not need any more lenses for quite some time. I was asked to come in wearing the contacts so that is what I did. As a result my bill had an additional $80 on it.In the future I would hope that all of the charges and evaluations would be discussed in their entirety before any exam takes place. I was really not happy about that.

The exam is thorough, and Dr. Droter takes time to explain what is going on with your eyesight. He uses computer illustrations of the eye to help his patients understand exactly the what, where and why of their unique situation. I never feel rushed, and he is very personable and easy to talk to.The staff is also very helpful and there is a good selection of frames.

Although the waiting time was a little longer than normal, due to the Doctor spending time making sure he gave the best possible care and attention to a couple of elderly patients ahead of me, he certainly deserves bonus points for that. My care as usual, was handled in the most professional way possible. Dr Droter and staff presented all of the options available, along with the pros and cons allowing us to proceed with the best course of action. I've been a patient for over 10 years now, and I've never been disappointed in the service and care, as well as the quality of the correction of my visual impairments.

Going above and beyond, Mike in the glasses lab helped make frame selections, crunched the numbers to get the best use of my insurance dollars, made sure i got to take advantage of any sales they were offering, and fitted the glasses after my order arrived.. Before leaving Nicole or Amber ensure that I have all my orders straight and paper work organized for rebates or my insurance. I highly recommend this group!

I'm new to the area and chose Ridgefield Vision Center for it's convenient proximity and it's good review. The exam was comprehensive, and Dr Pascal was very thorough and explained everything clearly. I don't use vision insurance, and found that RVC pricing was reasonable for the exam-right in line with what I have paid in the past for equally comprehensive exams. I got a new prescription, though I didn't fill it there immediately, preferring to shop around. The quote I got from RVC for the new glasses was comparable to what I've paid in the past at Lenscrafters and similar quality outlets, but was higher than the discounters and online sources. In summary, this is a very good Optician practice IMHO, and I would recommend them to people in the area who need those services.

Moved from TX to VA last year and needed my annual appointment, especially since I wear contact lenses. I absolutely loved my last eye doctor so I had a high bar for a new one. Found this place on Google Maps and was able to get an appointment in under a week from my initial call. I saw Dr. Christine Craig; she was very courteous going through all the routine tests and answering my questions. I even learned more about the oil glands near my eyelashes since one of them seemed a little clogged. Very happy with the service I received as well as the treatment from the ladies at the front desk. The only thing I could maybe mention is getting an Optomap imaging device. While not medically necessary for most patients, I'm always interested in seeing how my retina and the surrounding blood vessels are changing over the years (i.e. I'd totally pay out of pocket to see those images over time).

I had to make an emergency eye doctor's appointment yesterday and they were able to get me in within 2 hours. I had some cornea swelling and needed glasses right away due to me always wearing contacts and only had a broken up pair that I wear at night time(not for public use). Fantastic experience. Was able to schedule an appointment the same week I initially called. The staff was very friendly and helpful in regards to my exam and assisting me in finding a pair of glasses that fit well. Also, when deciding on lenses/upgrades I didn't feel like I was given a sales pitch to get all the most expensive options, they genuinely told me what I would probably want given my lifestyle and then told me all other upgrades were unnecessary. I would highly recommend this office.

My service at Ridgefield Vision Center has been absolutely amazing. I decided to try contacts. In the pass I'd never been successful putting them in and taking them out. I would always eventually quit. The staff was very patient and encouraging. They allowed me to come in and practice until I got it. When I did we were are filled with excitement. My experience has been one of the best. I am glad to call Ridgefield Vision Center the place where I can trust them with my eyes!!!!!

I saw Dr. Pascal for my regular exam a few days ago. She is very professional, efficient, and explained what she found or didn't find as she progressed through the exam. There was a small wait to be called back (they were busy), but then everything went well. I was happy to discover I did NOThave to have my eyes dialated as they have a new machine to view the retina in more detail. It was nice to be able to see as I drove home.

I always have a pleasant, positive experience at Dr. Droter's office. There is never a long wait time after arrival to be seen. The staff is very professional and welcoming. Dr Droter is thorough and explains all options while answering questions in a way that I understand. He is not pushy but rather directs his patients toward the best option for them. I first started seeing Dr. Droter three or four years ago and would not think of changing to another Vision Center.
