The best staff ever. Starting with Jocelyn who I called on the phone about an issue I had with a prior location. She took the time to listen and came up with a solution for me. Based on my preferred style of glasses that I had, Jocelyn also helped me pick wonderful frames. I saw Dr. Keorner who was very patient with me and did several things in my exam to make sure we had the right prescription. He even asked if I had any questions and took the time to answer each one. Brittany also did amazing work on my glasses. The staff in this office were very professional and kept things fun. You can visit any Stanton location but this by far is the most fun, professional, and experienced location. Come here!!!

What an amazing experience. Despite Liza having a bit of a rough day, she was beyond pleasant. My husband had an accident and lost his left eye. We came in with 1/2 of his old glasses in hopes of finding a frame to use his old lens in. We were nicely greeted by Autumn. She and Doug were very sympathetic to our situation and within minutes we had a new pair of glasses in the works for him. Autumn was concerned that his old lens was not polycarbonate and she worked it out so that we would have the safest lens in order to protect his remaining eye. She was very helpful and very nice in the times that we have come to get glasses for my daughter. I will definitely return and recommend Stanton Optical to my friends and family.

Had a 12:45 appt at the Two Notch Rd. location. Walked in and was totally ignored by the staff members for 5 min. Finally went to talk to someone and they told me since it was then 12:50 I would have to wait until 2:05 to be seen because they were going to lunch at 1. Now you tell me is this customer service! They wouldn't even honor their own appt time! I don't like leaving bad reviews but when a place deserves it I'm on it. Would not recommend going to this location. And btw I left. No way I was giving them my business. And don't believe the responses from the owner on the other reviews. If they really wanted to learn from their poor service I never would have had my bad experience. They'll just post the same response on my review and do nothing to be better.

customer service for this company is MEDIOCRE! they do not stick by their advertisement of 59.95...i paid almost 300$ for 2 pair of glasses and thats without anything special. They bargained with me and I ended up getting it for a little cheaper. I have called about my presecription several times withing two days and never received it. The call center is horrible, and then when I get transferred to the actual store the two people I have spoken with (Adam and Josh) attitudes/dispositions were horrible! They made it as if I have bothered them. I leave very honest reviews and I was not going to leave this one but after the interactions of today, I HAD to!

Wow, what great customer service I received at Stanton Optical. First, let me say the location easy access for individuals with disabilities, no stairs and easy access for those utilizing a wheelchair. Outside of that the Store Manager, Chris, and Barb, one of the technicians did all of the leg work helping me select eye glasses that fit my personality. Again, my experience at Stanton Optical exceeded my expectation and I would like to recommend them for your eye care needs.

He was honest with me on what glasses looked good on me and which ones didn't, and did everything he could to help me find 2 pairs of glasses to help replace the pair I have that I broke. When a person goes into an eye exam, your expecting to have your eyes looked at by a licensed doctor on hand. Instead your exam is preformed by some computer system. I informed them that, I have been experiencing eye pain for months. Not one person looked into my eye. As a result I will be going see a real doctor. I wish that I would have walked out.

So being from Omaha I’ve never heard of this place but I took my daughter there and when I say excellent service from the time we walked in they even had great music playing I was dancing the whole time we were there. Was looking around for a new place to get glasses. Saw this company and read about them and it says they have licensed doctors. Had to cancel my first apt, called again yesterday and was pleased that I could get in that day still. Everyone was friendly upon arrival, filled out the questionnaire and was then told because my eyes have suddenly gotten worse in the last year they wont see me because I would have to see a real dr and they dont know when one would be coming in again. Told me I would be better off going to target optical or something else instead. I live in the country and it was a 35 min drive for me just to get there and be told this!! Why is this not something that is on the website! I would have never waisted all that time to make an apt in the first place!! Wont ever be going back!

Best optical store yet! I have used many different eye doctors/eye glasses stores over the years and this is my favorite by far. They had a large selection of frames and great prices. The customer service was fantastic with all the employees being very helpful. They also can give you your new glasses the same day depending one what lenses you get, for example I got some prescription sunglasses with polarized lenses and those have to be made off site, but my normal eyeglasses I walked out with. A great experience overall.

The sales team was very professional and nice. The woman who did the pre exam was polite and helpful. The main issue, and what I think would be the biggest issue was the actual exam was done with a doctor via webcam which made communication hard and either the doctor chose not to listen or couldn’t hear because what was “supposed to happen” did not. Would shop here based on the front of office staff but will highly recommend no one goes here for an exam

Had my spouse repeat my experience (she got her glasses on the same day) and we both received quality eye exams and two pairs of glasses each for a total of $119.90. Elsewhere we would have spent $130 total for the eye exams alone.

Bad rating. Didnt have my name close to correct. they decided to break my metal frame glasses and took a month to let me know. daid glasses would be teafy in two weeks, is over a month and still no glasses. Really how do you break metal frames? ?? Very very upset. never going back again.

I had an awful experience here. Brandi is rude and condescending, she cut me off when talking almost every time I spoke, and scolded me for not following her instructions quickly enough, or moving when she didn't want me to move. She spent most of her time during my glasses selection, singing aloud to the hip-hop music in the store, or speaking to a male employee about about getting her nails done, her plans for the weekend, and where a ATM was so she could get some money out. The employees and the store are filthy. The managers jacket was covered in stains and There was no wiping down of equipment before or after my face touched it, gross! I spent almost 2 hours there and then was told that I was supposed to take my contacts out before the exam!! How would I know to do that unless they told me? I couldn't stay that day, so I had to go back the next day and redo it, which was a total waste of time. I've read several of your google reviews, and many of your other customers issues were identical to mine, lack of knowledge, Hard selling tactics, prices that lead you to believe that it will far less expensive and a complete lack of respect for someones time. I'd like to know what you are going to do to compensate me for my time? I have seen your responses to other customer Google reviews, and they all say thank you for letting us know, and we will forward the information to that stores manager. That's great for your company to help improve customer service and quality, but what does the customer who already had the bad experience get for their trouble?

The Staff was Very Friendly and Helpful. But they Neglected to me that they are not in the Network of my Insurance company and Took my Money. This place is a total joke. There is no optometrist onsite. You have to Skype in with an optometrist. They gave me a completely wrong prescription. It was charged to my insurance so I ended up having to pay out of pocket elsewhere.

My glasses broke the 1st day they repaired them, one year later all the powder coating came off of my lenses they did replace that as well then the frame broke, mind you these glasses were $600 to begin with and I can't even get ahold of anyone that speaks English to figure out how to get them fixed! all I want is a new frame!!!

This place is a joke. They prescribed be a -2.0 when for 15 years it’s been a -2.50. I guess there’s never a manager around and the guy working the desk and phone is a joke/weirdo and needs some real pr direction. Don’t waste your money. Go anywhere else. Also, i ordered 3 months of contacts a month ago and haven’t heard anything from them.

Don’t bother making an appointment because they take so many walk in appointments that you will sit and wait over an hour past your appointment time. The optometrist is off site and the exam is via video screen.

If you want to see a real, physical doctor I don't recommend going here as they have you video call an eye doctor which I hated from the jump. When j walked in, I explained I use VSP insurance. They said sure, no problem. After I had my incredibly disappointing vision exam which I never got to actually discuss the results with this "eye doctor" they couldn't figure out how to run my insurance. Tried telling me that I needed a member ID number, which VSP does not have. VSP informed me after calling they look you up in a system and if they have trouble, they call VSP. After arguing with some "VSP" specialist who they apparently only had one of, who left me sitting there for about 30 minutes just to come back and say I'd have to submit a bunch of forms which was not gonna happen, I ended up just walking out. If you use VSP, don't waste your time here. Total joke.

In November of 2018 I ordered two pairs of glasses and no line bifocals from Stanton It is now going on August of 2019 I have been there 10 times they still haven't gotten it right and now I have one pair of glasses the lenses will not stay in and the other pair glasses has two different temple arms on it one from man's one from women's it's your decision if you care to go there and blow your money myself I think it's the biggest mistake I ever made in my life I'm spending more time working for them getting my glasses fixed then I do on my full-time job this is definitely the worst decision I ever made in my life I don't plan on repeating it and I hope I save somebody a little grief by warning them first Don't go to Stanton it's a waste of your time and your money now I've got to go to small claims court to get my cash back!

My initial experience was terrible. The doctor was extremely rude and talked to me like I was an idiot because "3 and 4 look the same.". Got a two for one deal, but it took over a month to get the sunglasses because they kept sending duplicates of the glasses I already had. I didn't want to come back. Initially I wasn't going to write a review because stuff happens and whatever, but the glasses I purchased broke barely a year after getting them. Very low quality product;. The hinge broke in half. I very much don't want to go back and replace them with Stanton because of all the nonsense at the beginning. I've called several times needing my prescription so I can get new glasses somewhere else. Not only does it take forever to connect with someone, but they are very rude on the phone - including the people at Walmart who called on my behalf to fax the prescription. They said several times they'd fax it but they have yet to do it. I was told I should just go into the store, but I don't want any sales pitches or pressure to replace them with Stanton. Just a terrible experience all around

I had a really bad experience at the Stanton Optical in Brookfield, where I got the wrong eye prescription which I was force into paying for even tho I didn’t get any glasses. After contacting customer service, they offer a free re-examination and $40 instore credit towards glasses, at first I didn’t want any farther business with Stanton, but I decide to give Stanton Optical another chance. I made an appointment, but went to the Stanton Optical in West Allis instead. This time around the my experience went so great. I felt like my opinion and my concerns were answered and the staffs at the West Allis location knew what they were doing and got everything done at timely manner. Not only did I got the correct prescription, I was also able to use the instore credit to purchase a new pair of glasses that I absolutely love. JT one of the staff there, helped me with my glasses and he kindly went over the pricing and cost of everything and was friendly and patient with me. The 5 star rating is mainly for JT’s expectional customer service and professionalism. JT did not pressure me into buying anything that I was not comfortable with, and he was very empathetic towards my pass experience. If I were to go back to Stanton, I would only go back to JT because he knows what he’s doing, and he does not treat your appointment as a sale, but more like a patient meeting with a doctor, with care and guidance.

We went in today for eye appointments for both me and my boyfriend. He had never had an eye appointment before and was convinced he didn't need glasses. Two hours later, we walked out with four pairs of glasses between the two of us. The prices were more than fair and the staff was incredibly friendly. Jake, Dan, and the whole team make sure you are taken care of and don't let you leave until everything is exactly they way you need it.

This is for the Omaha, NE location - I called multiple times and spoke with Tom Besse (yes, I had to get his name to write a glowing review). He was the only one working and incredibly busy every time, but still attempted repeatedly to send out the Rx for me. We discovered in the end that the email delivery system wasn't working for whatever reason, but I needed it ASAP so sending by mail would have taken too long. Tom went out of his way to take a picture of the Rx and text it to me, and I cannot tell you how appreciative I was to receive that level of customer service! Just based on the background noise, it was obvious he was swamped every time I called , but he still managed to be not only extremely personable and professional, but also went above and beyond to ensure I got what I needed in a timely manner. Tom, I don't know you, but Stanton is incredibly blessed to have you have you on their team!! Thank you for exceeding my expectations and maintaining a wonderful attitude along the way! The world needs more people like you. :)

Video optometrist which was shocking! Video quality very poor. Staff was rude and they did not want to help show any glasses. They did not fit my son's glasses to his face. She kept telling me they were fine as they were slipping down his face, and she was singing to her music. No proper cases or cleaner available. I would give zero stars if I could. First, you don't get an appointment with an eye doctor in the store, it is a video conference. Second, they charge you for the eye exam before you get it, and then take that amount off the cost of your eye glasses. Third, they are very forceful when it comes to selling. If you think you will get two pairs of glasses for only $60, you are more than likely wrong. There are barely any frames within that price range, and they use hard selling tactics to upsell you on the lenses. I kept telling the salesperson I only wanted the bare minimum, I can't afford anything more, and he kept trying to sell me the upgraded packages that were priced well over $200. They use VERY high pressure selling tactics. They don't care if it is a right fit for you and your eyes, as long as they make money off the sale. Fourth, they got my prescription wrong. The glasses they made gave me double and skewed vision. I went back, and they said it takes a while to get used to a new prescription. I know this, I have worn glasses for 20 years. Fine, I gave it a week. It didn't get better so I went back again, this time they gave me a new exam. I said I don't want the video conference, and they told me that they have an in house doctor once a week. Got my appointment, and finally saw a doctor in person! They screwed up the glasses again. At this point, I was just so sick of them that I didn't want their glasses anymore, so I returned the glasses. I got a refund (that took quite a while to get put back into my account.) I would never recommend this place to anyone. It took me three weeks to not even get any glasses because of their incompetence. My recommendation: go to a different eye doctor, get your prescription, and order glasses online.

She was extremely personal and made sure I was pleased with my experience. I got through an eye exam, and then made sure to sit down with crystal to go over the doctors recommendations. Not once did she pressure me to purchase instead she asked me about my every day living what I do and what she thought would fit my everyday living from Social life to work life. She cared about me and my vision. I then ran into a difficult time trying to find 2 pairs of glasses that I found fit me Crystal grabbed 6 pairs and sat me down and had me try them on and I wanted them all. She was honest with what fit me and how it looked on me. Anyways I ended up buying 3 pairs of glasses one as a polarized sunglass. I highly recommend my friends and family to go visit Stanton optical as the team is amazing thank you Crystal and Nathan for an amazing experience and getting me some new eye wear

I ordered 2 pairs of glasses after my eye exam and they messed up the first pair (sunglasses instead of regular) and said the other pair got damaged in shipping so they had to get them resent. Just went back today and THEY MESSED UP AGAIN! More sunglasses. I ordered clear, regular glasses! Mind you I had my appointment about 3 weeks ago. They have wasted my time and money. Giving no stars is not a option. But Stanton Optical deserves NO STARS!! No Optometrist on location. All Optometrists are on a tv screen. Ordered contact COLOR lenses, one set of glasses for one daughter. Ordered TWO sets of GLASSES for another daughter. Paid for service and all products the day of EXAM! Was told it would take 7 days for CONTACTS. Automated system called and stated 2 of 5 orders came in NINE days later. Went there. No ORDERS available. Checked on order. Was told by a employee they have a new system and things get messed up through their "NEW" system. Was told to call back in a few days. Got another call TWO days later stating 2 of 5 orders came in. Went to Stanton. Got one pair of glasses. No contacts and the other 2 glasses I ordered were not ready. Got another call from their automated system stating all orders are in. No contacts there AGAIN. Did get the other 2 sets of glasses but they were WRONG frames!! I got the "We have a new system" excuse AGAIN!! By looking online at other complaints, this excuse is often used here, We got a new system. I also had a 268.00 balance left over. I had my receipt and paid for everything listed on my receipt already. Turns out salesman "put the wrong info in". So I asked for a refund. They wanted me to keep the wrong frames for free! I DID NOT go there to get FREE stuff. I went there to PAY for the correct items. I declined their offer. I paid for my older daughters' glasses, contacts and both of their exams. They did offer me 6 months of free contacts, but this experience was so awful, I declined. I would rather pay to get it right! The contacts were never ordered because the color was never picked out. But we had picked out a color that DAY of the EXAM! Those Genius Online Optometrists neglected to write the prescription as Colored Contact Lenses. So overall, I paid for a exam for colored lenses but never got a prescription for colored lenses!!!! This place is ridiculous. All their EMPLOYEES are SALESMAN! They are about getting the most out of a customer and not about the PRODUCT itself. Stay FAR AWAY! They are charging $29 for exam. I would rather pay $89 for exam and deal with a ONSITE OPTOMETRIST than some online person from a television that doesn't recognize you as a customer.

The staff that assisted in the eye exam for the children were great. It’s the other part of the process that needs work. First they ask for your insurance but after questioning them about filing a claim; I was told they don’t do that. Head scratcher??? so why ask for the insurance at all. Second I was told the glasses would be done that next morning. I went back two days later only to find out that they didn’t have one of the frames. No phone call, email, nothing to tell me this before I drove almost an hour to get there. Third the prices of the glasses don’t match up with what’s online. Trust me you aren’t going to get quality classes 2 for $59. Lastly after calling my insurance company to find out the process for filing my claim, I was told the company is supposed to file the claim. When I call Stanton back about that I got so many different reasons why I was charged for an exam that it just didn’t make sense at all. I call the store they say one thing, call corporate office they say another. Not sure who, however someone is definitely be scammed. Not sure if it’s me or the insurance company but I’ve got two receipts and a sales paper listing some sort of packages they charge for. No one ever mentioned these packages, nor did they mention that each Stanton store has its own rules. Now It’s clear that they write what they want on these receipts because one has a tax add and the other doesn’t, both say eye exam $95 at the top but then it says $45 at the bottom. I don’t know what an anti-glear coat is that it’s another $45 but i have to ask what is in the $128 basic package? I guess these are those hidden fees you don’t know about. I wasn’t informed on this package nor was i asked if i wanted it. All I know was the young lady asked “so what is your budget for classes”. I told her I didn’t have one. Now I’m realizing she threw a number out there and I bit. I don’t like businesses who scam, lie, or cheat. I won’t return, I don’t recommend, you’re better off going to Walmart or just getting your prescription and ordering your glasses online.

By far the best experience I’ve ever had in a retail/medical setting! I booked my appointment online about three days prior to my visit. The online process was quick and easy, they have automated system which calls to remind you also! During my visit, I was blown away by everything. I was seen almost immediately after I signed in, the optometrist who conducted my exam was quick, effective, and kind. But the absolute best part was Ms. Jocelyn Hill. I would get a new pair of frames every day just to work with Ms. Hill! She is a super sweet young lady, very knowledgeable in her field and very warm with her customer service. After my exam, she found several pairs of frames for me to try and assisted me with finding my perfect pair! Not only that, she got me a great deal and I ended up going home with two cute pairs of frames within less than a hour. Ms. April also was a great help! She made sure my glasses fit me well and sold me on a lens cleaner kit (which they refill if you bring in the empty bottle so free warranty pretty much)! My son broke my glasses for the 10th time and I've had a lousy morning already. I come to Stanton thinking I'm gonna be there all day, praying that they'll be able to replace them for me AGAIN and not only did Brock (the funniest, most handsome dude I've ever seen in my life) order me new frames but they were cheap as fudge and he had me out of there in like 10 minutes. Horrible! Horrible! Horrible! Worst service ever!!! I wish I could give this place less than one star! All of those who give a better score seem to be basing their rating on the initial experience. Yes, when I placed my initial order, it arrived at a decent time frame and was correct. Of course they will do a good job. That's when they get your money! Don't be lured in by their free eye exams and buy one get one free offer. You will regret it later. Here is my full experience. The doctors are all online and from "Florida." Yeah, right! With this accent, I am almost 100% sure they are overseas, but hey, it is a free eye exam and I don't mind supporting poorer countries, so fine. As long as the prescription is correct, who cares. Then my son breaks his glasses. There is a replacement guarantee, so no problem, right? Wrong. I went to the store, placed my order for a replacement frame, and paid my 20% copay. I was told the frame will be ready in a week (the lenses did not break, so it was just a matter of getting a new frame and switching out the lenses). Then, I waited and waited for them to call back. Nothing. Called several weeks later and was told the frame was never ordered. Another order was placed, but the frame is now not in stock, so they told me they will order it in a different color, and that should fix the problem. Then, I was told, on the same call, they will also order another complete frame with lenses, just in case the frame-only order was causing the glitch. Now we have three orders going on, so one of them should work, right? Wrong again! Called every week from that point on, and the answer is the same. "Your order is being processed," "we don't have any updates in our system," "we will put you on hold to call the lab," then a long wait in hopes of getting rid of me, then the sales person comes back on the line to tell my that that the lab did not answer and that he will call me back as soon as he has an update. Then, I never hear back until I call them back the next week to get the exact same frustrating pattern. I am cutting my losses and going elsewhere. Please save yourself the time and agony and go to Walmart or Target. They have much better service there. I have learned my lesson. You get what you pay for. Update: And here is the kicker. I tried to file a complaint with the BBB, and when I selected the Omaha location, it automatically transferred me to the "Southeast Florida and Caribbean BBB website. Then, on the third screen where I am supposed to pick a location from a drop down menu, the only option is FL. So, there is no way to file a complaint against the Omaha location? Is this location a scam or what?!!!

Swing and miss. I came in and said I wanted these frames (pulled them off my face and put them on the desk), handed them my prescription and insurance. Should have be the easiest sale ever. Then he said "lets go look at frames" after computing the costs of the lenses and options for 10 minutes. I said I want these ones, again pulling them off my face and putting them on the desk. "Oh, we only sell our frames". Complete waste of my time. Went to Wisconsin Vision and completed the transaction there in about 30 minutes. The other thing is the parking lot with signs for practically every spot stating "this parking for Sports Clips and Jimmy Johns customers only. Violators will be ticketed and or towered". Seriously, screw this place!

The short version is they messed my prescription, and it has been almost 3months since my exam and I still have not received my contacts and 8 times someone has said they “would definitely do something” (order contacts) and never did. They messed up significantly my first time missing I had astigmatism and after I told the tech my vision was still blurry during the exam to which he said, “it’s OK we’ll fine tune it”, they still gave me a strength off by an entire point. I found a pair of contacts from my last prescription from a different company and told them what the strength was, they agreed to order in contacts with that prescription and said it would take 3-5 days. 8 days later I had a voicemail saying I had a prescription ready to pick up. However, when I came in the prescription was not there and they apparently had never even ordered it. The manager apologized and said he would put the order in. Another week and a half went by and I still had not received them so I called the store and it turned out again they had not ordered them. They said they needed to clarify that the prescription strength on file was the correct one not the wrong strength they originally gave me, but for some reason instead of calling me to ask this they decided to wait for me to call wondering why nothing had arrived. It has been over a week since that call when they again said they would order them. The store will not answer my calls or calls from their corporate office. I am still waiting for some sort of confirmation that after 3 attempts my contacts have been ordered. To be fair the staff is very polite and friendly, but no company should be that off on a prescription or say 3 times over almost a 2 month period that they will order contacts and never order them. *Update-Another week went by and I received a call saying my contacts were ready for pick up even though I was told numerous times they would ship them to me. On Thursday I was told they would overnight ship them to arrive Friday because it had taken so long already and they would email me a tracking number. They never emailed me a tracking number and Friday I received another message saying my contacts were ready to pick up so I called to make sure they had been mailed to me as promised. I was told they should definitively arrive today (Friday) and I would receive a call back with the tracking number. They never came and no one ever called with a tracking number. I called twice Saturday morning trying to get a tracking number and was told they were too busy they would call back. Half an hour before closing I still had not been called with a tracking number so I called back and thankfully spoke with Jamal who was very good and found out they had not been put in shipping until Friday and were standard delivery speed so he fixed it and finally gave me a tracking number (took 6 times asking to actually get one). I had my eye exam 4/08/18 and should hopefully receive my contacts 6/25/18. I repeat, avoid at all costs. *Update just entered my tracking number to find out when my contacts should arrive only to find they printed a label but never brought them to ups

If I could do NO stars, I would. This place is awful. I had this feeling it was a bad idea to bring my son here. But who can resist two pair of glasses for $59? So it ended up they weren't $59 for two - we ended up paying $447 for two pair of glasses. This was on Feb. 15 and we still don't have the glasses one month later. When I called, they said they were rejected for quality control and had to be remade. Needless to say I'm sure this is a good story they tell everyone. I've be to Stanton for glasses 3 times through the years and left satisfied. This will probably be my last. After a precheck by an unprofessional tech. I was led to a room and introduced to "my doctor" on a CC VIDEO SCREEN! It was all down hill from there. Between the long lapses as she changed settings to the pixelated picture to the eventual drop in feed all together! Well that is where it ended for me...! I walked out! I will not be back unless I'm certain to have a real doctor actually in the room for the exam. If you want a real thorough exam I encourage you to spend a little more elsewhere and meet a human doctor!

Terrible! Steer clear! They don't tell you that they do not have doctors on sight. They hook you up with a teledoctor who's not even in the same state. They do not give accurate results. If you have a question they say well we're not doctors so we can't help you. I questioned my prescription because my eyes actually got better, and they told me 'well, you go to 10 different doctors you get 10 different results'. Really!?! So there is no accuracy in optometry?

This company just plain sucks. Go somewhere else. My appointment was 4/12/19 today is 5/29/19 and I still haven't received my full order. I was talked into buying a full year of contracts and told I would receive a 100.00 rebate. The rebate was expired on 3/31/19. I was told the manager would contact me in regards to the rebate by either email or a phone call. Still waiting 6 days later? WTF. I received my glasses that were the wrong frames and had to send them back. 3 weeks later. Received. Same thing with my sun glasses. Wrong lens and still waiting for them. Save yourself the hassle and go somewhere else.

WORST PLACE EVER...called to make appt for myself and 85 year old mom. Spent 40 min on phone with customer service in India! Could barely understand them but gave them all our info including ages. Arrive for appt and have to take 40 minutes giving the same info again!!! Start exam. Two hours in they decide my mom is too old to get an exam!!!! Too old! Since when can they limit the age they will do eye exam! Total age discrimination!! They said company POLICY is to age 80 only! They knew her age when appt was made, and when we arrived! They only said she was too old when the fake teladoc from India couldn’t see her eye well through the TV. That’s right, the eye exam is done by a teladoc on TV! No way a doc on a TV in India can accurately prescribe glasses! Then they will try and upsell you at every opportunity when you order your glasses. The eye exam is NOT FREE as they say, and they try to pad bill will a “loyalty club” that costs $50!! Run away from this place! Costco is much better and more economical. Anywhere is better than here!

Working with Stanton Optical in Omaha NE is like trying to teach a toddler how to score a touchdown in football. You give them the ball and they immediately drop it. You pick up the ball for them and give it to them to try again and they throw it forwards instead. If only Stanton Optical were also as endearing as a toddler. Unfortunately they only traits they have in common is the inability to learn and perform. Upon getting glasses from Stanton the coating of the lenses was incorrectly applied causing the coating to slough off the lenses. After returning these glasses to Stanton they assured me they would have them remade. After waiting 30 days I heard nothing from Stanton on the status of my glasses. Upon calling the store I was informed that the glasses had never be reordered. They apologized for the mistake and ordered the glasses again. Upon waiting 3 weeks I had not heard from Stanton about the status of the replacement order, so I called again. This time they told me the production line had broken my frames beyond repair and that I needed to come in to pick out new frames. I came into the store, picked out new frames and received an itemized receipt date and time stamped confirming the order was placed, and assure that it was rushed to be there asap. It is new 2 weeks after the latest order was placed and I have still not been contacted by Stanton optical. Upon calling the store they apologized and stated they should arrive sometime next week. Every time the order was placed they assured me it would be 10 business days at the latest for the new glasses to be made. Stanton Optical has not one time been able to live up to that promise. My advice would be to NEVER USE THIS COMPANY. They are incapable of providing even the lowest level of service to customers

The only reason i would give them 1 star is my first initial visit was great....so what the hell happened when I needed something fixed. Well almost a month after i go in and pay to have frames replaced they didn't even order them....now will take two additonal weeks to get what I have already paid for and had been waiting for. I had never been to Stanton Optical before and decided to give it a try as they had a deal on eye exams which is all I needed. I usually get an exam done and use my prescription to order my glasses online. I was worried about trying Stanton, as they have a terrible rating on Google of 3.9 but I did it anyway since I was just going to get my prescription and leave. The exam went very well and everyone that worked with me was kind and patient. Upon leaving I was approached by the sales guy with my prescription. I won't mention his name although I know it all too well... He was incredibly nice but wanted me to at least try on a couple pairs of glasses to take advantage of their great prices. I tried a ton on and ended up finding a pair I loved. I still wanted my old frames so he gave me an even better deal; he would fill the new frames for me and then when I pick them up I could drop off my beloved glasses and they would refill them for me despite them being from a different company, awesome!! I came in after less than two weeks to pick up my shiny new pair and drop off my old frames for refill. Everything was fine and they were sent out! 2 weeks go by but I think nothing of it, then 4 weeks go by.... Keep in mind they say their normal wait time is 2 weeks so I got understandably worried. I give them a call to check in and they have no record of me dropping the glasses off... They tell me to call in and speak to the manager with whom I dropped them off with. I called back and spoke to him and he couldn't find the record but remembered me dropping them off so he would look into it and call me back, never called me back... I lost track of time and didn't call them back for a couple weeks. They said the same thing that they didn't have record of me dropping them off and offered me a another pair of glasses from their store to make up for their, not explicitly stated but obvious, loss of my glasses. I told them that was unacceptable and to keep looking, where could they have possibly gone? No one called me back once again so I called again about a week later. Same deal and this time they offered me two free pairs. Luckily my beloved frames were still available from the online company. I told them that would be unacceptable but I would accept reimbursement if I ordered a new pair of glasses from the other company and they actually accepted! Yay! I sent them my receipt and no response... Gave them some time but called back after the holidays and asked to speak to the guy I have been dealing with this whole time and they said he was with a patient if I could hold. I said "Of course" and was on hold for about 8 minutes. I decided to call back and see what was going on and if I should call back at another time and was told by a girl working there that she would make sure he would call me back within the day and of course that didn't happen. I called back the next day, message taken with a promise for a call back within the day and nothing once again. Called back 2 days later, today, and told them I would be put on hold as I have been promised a call back about 4 or 5 times now and never gotten one. Low and behold I finally get the guy on the line and he reluctantly puts my refund through... Finally done. Long story short, I didn't want to put in a bad review as I love my new glasses and they are all really nice but they are extremely unprofessional and I wouldn't recommend anything but an eye exam there; if you can manage to get past that great sales man!! Timeline if any one is curious - Eye exam and new frames sale (Late September 2018). Receipt of new frames and drop off of beloved frames (2 weeks later or Mid October 2018). Receipt of refund for loss of beloved frames (January 9th 2019)

Carl was very knowledgeable about the different frame types and materials and did a great job of answering all of my questions. He didn’t steer me towards any particular brand of eyewear nor did he steer me towards any price level. He just listened and found cute frames that met my wants and needs. I have been wearing glasses and contact since 1983 and have been to at least ten different optical stores in the area over the years. In recent years I used a company that claims to be the best in the country as well a box store club that has a focus on cost. I was not in the market for new glasses until I had a mishap and destroyed my last pair of glasses yesterday. I was very reluctant to try Stanton, after an eye injury last year put me out of contacts forever, but they were near my work and could get me glasses quick. All of the other places I called were out a few days on appointments and a week or two for glasses. One even wanted $214 for an exam alone. After doing too much research I went in not expecting much. I was happily surprised as soon as i walked in. I do have insurance but did not have a card, but they helped me and got it all set up. The Dr was through. The toughest part was picking out the glasses, but they patiently helped. The tech Nick and manger Jacob were super helpful and knowledgeable. So after a 1:30 appointment I walked out at a little after three with a new pair of glasses on my face, and another pair of polarized sunglasses on the way. The bonus was after insurance i had to pay around three hundred out of pocket! Here is the best part. The new glasses are the best i have had in years. I am amazed on how clear these lenses are. Kudos to Stanton! Tell your friends. This is the place for glasses in Milwaukee! Well done!

This was the weirdest experience I have ever had. Not only was there no optometrist there (he was video conferenced in, which was incredibly odd to me), but the machinery was also not working for the first half of my exam. He had to keep paging the assistant who was out of the room to come in and check the machines. Then when I told the assistant that I had prisms in my last glasses to help my eyes focus and that I would like them again, she basically ignored me and said "I don't know what that means". She also said, "Well I don't know what to do about that because you didn't bring in your old glasses." Which was incredibly bothersome to me because no one told me I needed to bring them in, and it was almost like I was getting yelled at because of that. I came in for the 2/59.95 deal, so when she told me to go find glasses, I went looking at all the frames I wanted. I showed her the ones I liked but said I couldn't find another pair for the 2 for 1 deal. She tried to help me find more, and while I was looking, talked to her manager about writing me out a coupon for just the one pair, which was nice. But when I found another pair (which we discussed on multiple occasions that I was trying to do for that 2 for 1 deal) she rang me up for over $200! She informed me that they were only on the value frames, but she had helped me look for another pair when I said multiple times I needed another one for the 2 for 1 deal. So she saw I had frames that weren't the "value frames", but still helped me look when I told her countless times that I was looking for that deal. I told her that I was not going to get glasses then because I was only planning on spending the $60, and she went to get her manager. Her manager then proceeded to negotiate with me on pricing for frames like I was buying a used car! I was so uncomfortable, I kept saying no and that I was only planning on spending the $60 and he wouldn't stop. We ended up agreeing on a price of $84 for the eye exam, and two frames that were both listed at over $150! I mainly agreed to this price because I just wanted to get out of there at this point, I had been there for over 2 hours at this point. It just shows how much they overcharge if he can give me two pairs of frames that were listed at $150 each and an eye exam for only $84. I will never be back.

Omg!! I had the best experience getting new glasses today from Stanton Optical!! Walked in, started looking at frames and fell in love with so many styles there and Christopher greeted me with such friendliness! He got me all set up with an eye exam that evening, helped me pick out 2 frames and it all was such an amazing price! He helped me feel very comfortable with the whole process. DO NOT GO HERE! I had an APPOINTMENT for my 18 year old son. We sat there for 45 minutes without being helped. Then we were given a tablet to answer some questions. and sat another 15 minutes so 1 hour after our appt we still had not been seen for an eye exam to get glasses. During this time 2 other customers walked out of the store because they also were waiting for their appts and hadn ot been helped. Now it is getting close to "closing time" so as we are still waiting one employee has her bag and purse like she is leaving (Mind you there is another couple waiting for their appt beside us). The two employees go in a room and then come out and tell us that we will need to reschedule our appt. because their system wasn't working. ,,,,,,,,,Will be making another appt BUT NOT HERE!!!!!!!!!!

Warning: Stanton Optical does not have a real doctor to do your eye exam. The eye exam is completed via webcam with a doctor from someplace else and it was difficult to understand him. I’m not convinced the exam results were accurate after I got the trial pair of contacts. If you are a fan telemedicine, then this would be a good place for you. But I would prefer having a real doctor there to complete my exam and ask/answer questions in a more personal manner.

My glasses are in for the 4th time since September being redone. It's been 4 months I had them for 1 month and they pressure fractured. I was told they would rush them. It's been 2 1/2 weeks, that is not a rush. I left 3 messages (one with corporate customer service) on Friday no one will return my calls. Now they are getting crabby with me because my being upset is apparently bothering them. Seriously, you now how you can hear an eye roll? Guess what? Get me my freaking glasses and you will never hear from me or anyone I know again. Sorry you're incompetent, it's not my fault you can't get your act together.

BEWARE ! They do not have any eye doctors here, you have to SKYPE with someone who administers your exam over a big screen. You then wait 30 minutes while sales people hound you to purchase glasses. I left with my prescription and went to order online, only to find out they didn't give me my "pupil distance (mm)". When I called them and asked for that info - they said I would have to come back to get it because they don't do that piece of the exam until you buy from them specifically. Why are you charging people for a "free" eye exam only to have them leave with a prescription that they can't utilize anywhere but Stanton? Total SCAM.

I saw the 2 for $59. Went in for both my daughter and I. You will have to paid $45 for exam first but will be deduct from your final bill. And there’s no eye doctor there but Someone will exam your eye from virtual online. Was a bit disappointed, about not being able to get 2 for $59. Keep in mind that there will be add on and you will end up paying for more then you expected, my total bill was $300 for both my daughter and I. It’s still a good deal, considering we both got 2 glasses each and that Joe and Nick did an awesome job getting us the best price possible. I did walked out a happy customer. Overall experience with Stanton Optical as a company was horrible! The Brookfield store itself and sales employees, managers, etc. were very helpful, friendly and attentive. I can't say anything bad about the store itself, but the company as a whole is a different story. The actual eye doctors are skyped in on a web cam to do your eye exam which is sketchy in itself to say the least. I tried to give the process a chance, but noticed once my contacts came in that they were the wrong prescription and so were my glasses. The eye doctor also recommended a brand of contacts that were different then the ones I have been in for the past 4 years and I gave the trial pair a try and could tell they were too dry and not good for my eyes. I went to the store and requested that I meet with an actual eye doctor in person, she took about 5 minutes for my exam. Once I got the trial pair of contacts I could tell something was wrong again so I came back into the store and returned them. The eye doctors messed up my prescription multiple times, I got the back-and-forth whenever I would call the customer service line and got put on hold for longer than 10 minutes every time I called just to ask a question about the process of returning contacts. Thankfully the managers at the store level took care of it and returned and refunded my glasses and contacts purchase. The only problem now is that Stanton Optical (the corporation) has to send through a reversal on my insurance and still has yet to do so. I waited on the customer service line for 20 minutes today to get a hold of someone and they said they will take care of it but couldn't give me a timeline of when, a reference number or any proof that I had called and spoken to someone. This issue has been going on since February and now I am almost completely out of contacts which I of course need in order to see! Very unhappy overall with their lack of help! Never going back and wouldn't recommend going there to anyone!

I wasted $60 here. I got my prescription and ordered two parts of glasses. Instead I have only one pair that I can't see out of, the perception is so wrong. The second pair, which I was promised would be mailed to me, never came. I'd go in and complain but honestly I'd just waste my time. These guys are a total joke. They have no sense of organization or professionalism. I was once on hold for 27 minutes, when the guy helping me just left. What they call a professional eye exam is a nightmare, you're being examined by some guy in Florida over a video conference and it does not work. I hate leaving bad reviews but these people were next level tragic.

I was impressed by their selection, and Carl provided excellent customer service. I shop for glasses maybe once every two years, and I always forget how difficult it is to find frames that fit well, since my face isn't very wide. I'd been to a few other places before visiting this store and just didn't see anything I found appealing. Was giving the run around for three weeks still no lenses then told that I was being Rude because I asked May I speak with someone with authority just to get an ETA on the lenses. Guess my skin color offended them. My wife and children have also gotten eye exams and glasses from these guys also this was my third time myself getting lenses but I was treated like I didn’t Matter and they could care less if I took my business elsewhere. Went to this place two weeks back. Waited for my report to be sent to my neurologist and not sent yet!! When I was there for eye exam and glasses, my experience was not too pleasant either. Will not be going back to shop here again. Selected frames for me and my husband (total of four frames) and informed the lady who work there about them. She said to leave it at the table and come back after the eye check up. 10 minuets later came back from the optometrist to give order the prescription lenses put in the frames, the selected and kept away frames are gone. And the associates asked me to find the frames again from their inventory, and had BAD attitude. Do not recommend this store even if they offer free eye glasses with this nasty service!!!! I did post review about my experience here two weeks back and they removed it! Now they failed again by not sending my report to MD!!!

On May 11th went in to get glasses and the frames I wanted were not in the store. So I picked 2 other pair with the understanding the frames I wanted would be ordered and we could switch them out. I was told it would take about a week. I went home with one pair and that following Tuesday my second pair were ready. So when I picked up my second it had about two weeks. I inquired about the frames that were suppose to be ordered. I was suppose to receive a call back that day. No call. Here we are June 2 still no call so I go in for a refund and I am told I have to wait and speak with the lady who entered my order. This is not professional nor great customer service! I will never return!

My first encounter to this business has not been favorable of this eyeglass/contacts provider in Columbia SC. I am a senior citizen and have cataracts, astigmatism and Diabetes. First day, I went to get eye exam and look at glasses. I did not like the Dr or his way of handling eye exam. Next, they had only 15 pair of glasses to choose from for the 2/59.95. Selection was terrible. They finally allowed me a wider selection so I picked out some glasses. A week later glasses come in, ..not made on sight as advertised. That was shock as I thought my glasses would be made there. Then the specifics for the order came next. One was tint, the only option I chose. The tint is sort of dark on these glasses at the lowest level. Not happy with that. Then one pair of glasses came back even darker, Iike sunglasses. They had to be sent off to be remade. Not happy with that. A week later I get a call everyday with a reminder my glasses are ready again. I live 1 hour and 10 minutes from the Stanton store. So I go to get my glasses.....again. So it takes a while for it to be my turn, always a Wait here. They look for my glasses. Then look some more. Then more. Then another Stanton employee helps with the search. Then a third one. Over an hour looking for my glasses. None to be found. Then one employee said there was a tray in the lab with my name on it but nothing in it. More searching. After a while I am told they were damaged upon arrival and sent out again to be remade. This inept business practices and I am very, very unhappy. Not a place I am comfortable doing my business. Well my husband walks in raising the roof after wait for me so long. I had to deal with his rant over the situation all the way home. I've not been offered any compensation for the bad business and delays. I am quite disgruntled with this place and their lack of appropriate customer service. I do not recommend them for your eye care needs.

Something was wrong with my prescription the first time and I have to say even though I went back a few times they stuck with it until it was absolutely perfect. Upon arrival I walked in the store with no real expectation of what to except. I read previous reviews regarding Stanton Optical only to find out what everyone says is true. You’ll never get any good service here. The mrs system they use is trash. I over heard employees talk about where the people on the screens are actually at. Turns out they’re all out of the country!! They’re in nicaragua performing our eye exams!? Of course they’ll tell ya different. That’s not even the worst part. It’s all the false promises they give. They’ll tell ya it’ll take 10-14 businesses days to receive and will call you once ready. Lies. I had to wait almost A MONTH to get back my glasses which were ordered with the wrong prescription. Please go some where else.

Don't bother making an appointment. You'll wait over an hour when walkins get seen before you. When you call you don't talk to someone at the actual Omaha location either. I don't know where their call center is. There is no in house doctor so if doing tele-medicine is an issue for you I recommend going elsewhere. There was only one technician and she was being pulled in 10 different directions. Meanwhile there were several employees in the front of the store pushing people to buy glasses. Horrible, horrible customer service. Was prepared to buy glasses from them but will instead be leaving with just the prescription. I read a review about them not giving the full prescription to you (leaving out the pupil distance) until you purchase glasses or contacts from them. So we will see how that aspect goes when it's time to go. (If the prescription is even correct).

Avoid Avoid Avoid for your eyes sake. I called them and made an appointment for eye exam for 2 of my daughters and wife. I gave them all of the information including date of births etc.over the phone. The day of appointment, while at location (drove 1/2 hour to get to their location) was informed that they wouldn't test my 7 year old. Minimum age is 8. I asked them why I wasn't told that over the phone so I wouldn't drive that far, I was told, lady making appointments was not aware. Who's responsibility is it to train your employees. I went without any test. This location does not have a doctor on site. I went to their West Allis location for test the next day. Be aware that none of the locations have doctors. You are basically taking a test alone in the room while talking to a foreigner so called doctor on the TV screen, who barely speak proper English. Unknown from where or if that person is actually a doctor. After trying anyways, my wife and daughter were given new prescription numbers which were incorrect. The lady at the location was then trying and guessing new numbers and she wasn't a doctor. My wife and daughter could see better through the old glasses then new numbers given by tv doctor. When asked why, They have no clue because they aren't trained for that and are not doctors. Also it talked 3 time longer then having an actual doctor on site. Horrible Horrible experience.

I absolutely loved my experience at Stanton Optical. I haven't had to wear glasses and or contacts in over 16 years and I was not happy about it. However, Barb and Christina at the Brookfield location made me feel so comfortable and eased all of my fears. The manager Chris H. should be proud of his staff and the leadership that he has exhibited. I also had to speak with him directly regarding some concerns and he took the time out to answer all of my questions, point out a few things that I did not think to ask and most of all get me exactly what I needed. This was the first time my Husband and I had ever been to a Stanton Optical. We thought we would just stop in and find out if they took our vision insurance, but ended up staying and both getting eye exams right away. We walked in 30 mins before closing time BUT never felt rushed with the exam or picking out frames. Jake and Joe were amazing! They did their best to see if our insurance was the best deal or the deal that they could give us was better. We were also very surprised at the cost of the frames, at these prices we were able to walk out with glasses and sunglasses! Great value and great customer service.

After spending some time reading these reviews I'm really worried my glasses wont be useful. I went in this past week since I really need glasses so I'm still waiting for them to be made. Upon arriving they helped me get set up and was a pleasant process till I entered the room.. I didnt expect a person on a tv to do my exam. I'm really doubting they got my prescription right. Most likely I'll be heading to pearl vision in a week to redo this process. I went for the free eye exam an deals on glasses but maybe you get what you pay for. If it's not 100% right I'll be asking for a full refund in person.

Went to Stanton Optical this morning for a contact lens eye exam. First things first, the store does not appear to have an optometrist on staff. Second, the eye exam is conducted remotely, by a third party, who is somewhere unknown. Now, after the exam, I waited for my prescription, only to discover that it had gotten better, so much better, that apparently, now at age 41, my vision is better than at 15!! Then, I was not given any trial lenses, wasn't given any instruction on how to insert my contacts, how to care for them, etc. I was, however, pressured to buy a year supply of contacts, even though I had expressed concern over the prescription being so far off. After stating that I was unhappy with the prescription, I was given the paper RX, and sent on my way. I then went to three different eye centers to speak with optometrists about this situation. All three were adamant in their opinion that my vision could not get better, without having surgery. I took off work, and drove all around town trying to get answers. I will be back there tomorrow, to attempt to obtain a refund. Update forthcoming. Also, while I was there, another customer came in with glasses that had the wrong lense in one side. Obviously a mistake on the part of Stanton Optical, right? Apparently not, as they made him pay to correct the mistake, despite the "warranty" coverage that he purchased. Never will I return to this store, save for attempting to obtain a refund.

I went in for an eye exam and was "examined" by a doctor over a tv screen with poor audio and poor picture quality. I never saw a doctor in person which was very odd. I had to ask him to repeat himself multiple times because of his accent plus the poor quality of the audio system. A machine in front of me kept changing lenses and he would ask how it looked, I repeatedly said.... the letters look bigger but i see double or they are blurred and the doctor kept saying the double and blurriness didnt matter. I was never offered a chance to ask questions. I truly felt that the exam was not of proper standard. I got the script which was electronically signed by a doctor I didnt even see. I said I was leaving, paid for the so called exam and walked out. I made an appointment at a different facility two days later and i showed the script front Stanton. The script was extremely inaccurate according to the doctor who did a complete, thorough, in person exam and not over a tv screen. In all fairness though, the two guys working the store were nice and did offer me to come back for an exam when the doctor was in but i respectfully declined.

I I called to see if they take my insurance and they gave me a vague answer. They also asked when I wanted to schedule an eye exam. I calmly declined. He asked another way. I calmly declined again. Then the person asked me, What is holding you back from scheduling an eye exam? At that point, I feel they crossed the line. I understand the world of sales and customer service, however, I felt he was too aggressive. I felt bullied. It truly left a bad taste in my mouth. I will go elsewhere.

Would not recommend Stanton optical. It has taken over three months to get my glasses/prescription correct. Guessing this has to do with the fact that you don’t see a doctor in person, as other reviews mention the doctor is remote video chatting into your exam room. Seems this may have caused them to get my prescription wrong. The only good thing about Stanton is they do everything they can to make the issues right however it’s a pain to continually go back to their office and it’s taking way too long.

Poor business model. Staff on sales floor were not able to answers simple questions (location address), deliver glasses (handed box, frames not fitted/eye pieces or nose pieces, and staff wanted me to sign for receipt), watched as two pair were being fitted and technician broke the frames and customer was told they'd be sent back to get fresh frame. A female staff member with plenty of attitude snippily stated she knew how to fit glasses wanted me, an adult, to "shake my head" to check for fit". (Seriously, I've had glasses since I was 12 and NO ONE EVER gave me that set of instruction. Sign on door states there is a doctor available from 9 am to 4 or 5pm (forgot exact time) and at NO time was I seen by a physician while there for either visit. Please, go to licensed eye doctor.

The only plus I've found when working with Stanton optical is that it is cheap. The staff is relatively nice, but their customer service and quality of the lenses/contacts are lacking. Whomever answered the phone got belligerent when I asked for my previous prescription to take it elsewhere. You get what you pay for here.

I was greeted by Lisa at the 124th capitol location and she was very helpful. she even knew which glasses fit my style and the ones that didn’t. The eye exam was a bit weird because the letter chart was not in front of me across the room but was placed diagonally across the room from me. I had never been to Stanton Optical but I was looking for a place that offered Saturday appointments to avoid hassles with my work schedule and was reasonably close to home. We don't have vision insurance so glasses are always a big bill. So we went there thinking we could get my glasses at a doable cost. WRONG! THE ONLY REASON they get two stars is because they do have some lovely glass frames and I found one I just loved. I haven't gotten my glasses yet and reading the issues others have had makes me VERY NERVOUS if I will get them and will they be done correctly and in a quality manner. The eye exam made me feel like I was nothing more than a number, just one of the many sheep they run through. There is NOTHING PERSONAL ABOUT THE WAY THEY DO THE REFRACTION. Sitting alone in a room with a person on a TV screen. When I asked this woman if she was an Optometrist, she replied she was "a certified refractionist " a term I have never heard. Further, It was clear this person was in what sounded very similar to a call center set up because I could hear others around her asking the same questions. Honestly, I wanted to leave but my current glasses have a broken hinge which is becoming quite bothersome so I really need some new glasses. However, it was clear to me this place does a volume business. People are nothing more than cash cows for this place. First, you get to talk to the lady on the screen who will not remember you 5 minutes after you leave and does not even use your first name.Then you get to talk to Jamal, Mr. Personality Plus, who does his best to get as much money out of you as possible. I would not have purchased the glasses except that I really do need them and the frames were just so damn cool. IF MY GLASSES ARE NOT DONE EXACTLY RIGHT and IN THE TIME FRAME I WAS PROMISED (two weeks), I will demand an immediate refund and I will accept NOTHING LESS than a full refund of the cost of my glasses and take my business elsewhere. I need a full exam which I can only imagine they do not truly provide in the manner most professionals do it. Oh, they told me they have a doc, an actual human being, that comes in on Thursdays. However, given the way people are shuttled through the refraction exam, I shutter to think how this might be done. Its a frightening thought. I have signed up with an actual eye doctor who is actually in the room and actually takes the time to get to know who the patients are, what their needs are, and provides the kind of service that respects how incredibly precious our eyes are. In other words, this doc actually cares. Once I get either my new glasses done EXACTLY RIGHT or a full refund if they are not, I will NEVER BE BACK TO STANFORD OPTICAL AGAIN.

I was told my glasses would be ready in 2 weeks, the latest, and they would call me. I called them after 10days, they told me things are fine. I called them 16 days after not getting a call from them. They said sorry, glasses are out of stock. Couldn’t I’ve been told this in advance instead of waiting, calling? They do not keep track of your glasses, orders, or you as a client, unless you call. Disappointed. We are the ones buying, not selling. They’re the ones supposed to check on your order and call you.

They told me i have a disease developing in my eyes. I cannot believe how many negative reviews are listed on this page. Went in to get a routine eye exam, only to have the office withold my perscription and then tell me that the doctor, who existed on a screen, wouldnt sign off on my perscription. I waited, after having picked out my frames (which i thought would be $59 with the advertised "deal" but ended up being $300), for 2 hours when the staff told me that i may have a disease developing in my eyes. The doctor tested my right eye for all of 30 seconds before moving on, even though the screen was white and blurry. Obviously, I went home and freaked out. The next day their office in Nicaragua called and said that I could go back in and get my perscription redone because their machine had failed. I decided to go back in and waited for 30 minutes when the staff told me the same thing i had heard yesterday. "You may have a disease developing in your eye." They never gave me any proof of this alleged disease. I have worn glasses since age 2, and will be turning 22 this fall. My right eye has always been worse than my left but i have never had any issues. I don't know if it's illegal to claim that someone has an illness without providing proof, but I'm looking into it.

“Guaranteed” glasses in 2 weeks, took a month. They sold me a pair of frames that they no longer had so they took the ones of wall and put lenses in. I asked to be compensated for their mistake and they tried to sell me another pair of glasses! If I’m not satisfied with how you handled my first purchase why would I spend more?
