Great locally owned optical shop. The service at this shop is amazing. They actually helped me pick out a pair of glasses that I wouldn't have picked out myself, but I have been very happy with them and I received many complements. Also, they are more than happy to help with any issues that come up with your glasses.

The doctor himself was wonderful but the guy who claims to be the owner is rude I asked for my PD that should come with my Rx and he said no because I was going to order glasses online and that is required for me to do so. So I can measure it myself!

Neighborly Optical has by far the best service in Charleston. I have gotten two pairs of glasses from here, one Kate Spade and the other Ray Bans. I have gotten SO many compliments on my Ray Bans from numerous people. Everywhere I go people stop me to tell me how much they like my glasses, and I, of course, refer them to Neighborly Optical. I also got my contacts from here and they were delivered in a timely fashion. Fast delivery, optimal service and extremely friendly staff! I needed a repair for my Ray bans sunglasses, which was on a Saturday, and Keith came in on his day off to fix them for me! He goes above and beyond for his clients! If you are looking for a place to get glasses or contacts this is definitely the place to go!

I finally found the right eye care center! Very professional and helpful service! This is the best eye doctor I have been to in the past 3 years! They got my prescription right the first time. I have a eye condition that makes it difficult to get my glasses right , not only the doctor got it right, she understood my condition and pointed me to the right path to get my vision better ! I chose this place because it is locally owned and operated. From the moment you walk in, it feels like you came to visit with friends. Dr. Philbeck is thorough, considerate and entertaining as an optometrist. Keith helped me to find a pair of glasses that fit and looked good on me. These are all services that you hope to get when you go to buy glasses. Now, Neighborly Optical does even better than that! They are prompt in delivery and they happily made adjustments to my bent glasses, ( I fell asleep with them on!) Every concern has been taken care of with kindness and courtesy. I didn't see nor experience any difference from this place differently than anywhere else. I bought a pair of glasses for a nursing student who had no money and no job due to framing for good grades in school. I asked for the PD measurement and he wouldn't give it to me. I told him it was required by law to give it to me and he called me a liar. He did not say those words but he told me he didn't have too. I don't k ow who wrote these positive reviews bot I question as whether or not they are actual customers. These people are no different than the others other than America's Best optical which is listed on the bottom three of the worse, according to Clark Howard's web site. I'm 74 years old and have been wearing glasses for over 60 years so I know a little of what I am talking about. The doctor would get five stars but I gave three because of the lying salesman.
