Cant say enough about this place. The people remember your name every time you go in there. Just because its downtown, dont think its going to be more expensive- because its not. I have no reason to go to any other place for sunglasses or my eye care. I drive from Summerville and refuse to go any where else.

I love this place and Nancy was awesome. I walked in and they helped me right away.. Beautiful office, everyone was friendly and they fixed my glasses within 10 minutes...Nancy is going to make me a custom pair of Lindbergh glasses...I can't wait to go back... It's an hour drive but definitely worth it.....I will be back Nancy..

Came in looking for a specific type of Ray bans. Not only did they have a very large selection but the lady Lyndsey went above and beyond to help me find them. Very pleased with this place. Will be back

Many thanks to Lyndsey yesterday for all of her help...My wife had some new lenses for her glasses that came in and stopped by to pay for them...Somehow I managed to leave my wallet at home...Lyndsey said "No problem, just call me when you get home with your card number"...My next stop after JD was the grocery store so I needed my wallet anyway, so I ran back home and got my wallet and then headed back to JD...Paid for the lenses and then showed Lyndsey how the rubber piece around the frame of my Costas was coming apart..."No problem" she said...Pulled out a spare frame and popped my lenses into them and I was on my way... Thank you, Lyndsey!!!

Very disappointed with the service at this establishment. They had horrible recommendations and the staff was not helpful at all. My last visit, i was "helped" by a women named Barbara who was extremely unpleasant and rude. Will not be returning.

My husband bought me a pair of sunglasses for my birthday but they did not fit correctly. Returned them and bought a much cheaper pair that fit correctly. I heard the sales clerk tell the clerk that was helping me to tell me they were the same cost. Not very ethical or very good business. Will not be back.

My wife and I came to this beautiful city for our anniversary. So ready to get here, I left home without a spare pair of contact lenses. Of course, I tear one that night before we head out to explore the sights. The next morning my doctor back home contacted Ms. Barbara and within minutes she had me set up with a new lense so I could enjoy my stay! Nothing but great things to say about this place and the staff! Southern hospitality at its best!

I called to book an appointment and told the young lady what kind of insurance we had. I asked her if they accept that insurance and I was told they do. My husband and I both took the day off and hired a babysitter for this appointment. We were a little early for our appointment. I figured we could fill out paperwork and look around. I am then informed that they do accept my insurance but not the plan I'm on!! The young lady at the desk said this happens from time to time with certain plans with my insurance. Well if it has happened from time to time you would think she could check just to make sure I'm covered, right?? Well no!! She didn't and I wasted a whole day along with money for my babysitter!!

The employees here are always so helpful, whether I am sending sunglasses back to be repaired or purchasing new glasses, it is always easy. I feel as though they give honest feedback on how pairs look and are able to explain each manufacturer's repair policy and procedure.

I had a great experience at Jackson Davenport Vision today. Barbara at the front desk was super helpful in making sure I got in for a first-time appointment before work after I lost a contact lens and my old prescription was expired. Everyone at Jackson Davenport provided superior service and was kind, knowledgeable, and helpful. I was greeted with tons of smiles and great personalities during my semi-blindness. :) Nancy made me feel very welcome. I saw Dr. Kelly Summers today and she was amazing! I did not wait long at all. My exam was relatively quick, but Dr. Summers is highly skilled and does not miss a thing. It turned out one of my eyes had gotten a little better and she picked that up fast! She also diagnosed a stigmatism that was either new (or was previously missed by other docs) in my other eye. There is even free parking for patients across the street! No worries that the location is downtown. Great vibes! I could not be happier with my exam here. Will definitely return. Thank you to everyone at Jackson Davenport for helping me see again!

I went to Jackson-Davenport Vision Center to have a pair of sunglasses fixed. As soon as I entered the store, I was greeted warmly by Cate. She was wonderful. She had my sunglasses repaired as I waited (five-minutes). After that, she gave me a fitting for the vintage eyeglasses I was wearing. Her 25-years of experience in the eyewear business (I learned this in passing conversation) told her that my eyeglasses sorely needed adjusting. When she was through, they felt like new. Cate was nice, thorough and professional. I couldn't have asked for better service.

It is so important to shop local on King Street, bought a pair of glasses eight years ago from Jackson Davenport. Lynn’s finally Brooke walked in this morning have them installed, glasses cleaned with a handshake and no charge. Let’s see a chain store do that!

While the dr’s have always been great the desk help has been far from helpful. Over the years I have been given the completely wrong prescription, had contacts I ordered not shown up and most recently was told my prescription was good til the end of the year. When I showed up I was told my prescription expired in the beginning of December. I’ve tried to stay local, and forgive them for staff short comings but I will no longer be a customer

Amazing kindness and hospitality. I was in Charleston on a short stay over and ruined my contact lenses. They set me up with a new pair and travel kit. This place is great, I took two pairs of broken sunglasses there and they fixed them for free even though I didn't buy them there, and were so nice about it. Its was so nice to be treated like I was important, that is rare these days. They had so many nice sunglasses I decided to go back and get another pair, also because of the warranty they come with since I am so good at destroying every pair I own.
